My daughter went for the first time. Not her usual nail place because she didn't have a lot of time and it was closer to home. First off the nail tech wasn't polite and lacked customer service. They explained her nails are too short and needed the tips to be short which she is use to. But she asked for round shape and was told it couldn't be done. That isn't an issue at other salons. Then the nails were wide and extra thick simulated chicklets. The top off this negative experience, the person at the cashier asked if she had cash to ensure she give a tip. I wouldn't have tipped due to the poor work and attitude. She paid $65 for a new set and $45 for a pedicure. I went here for the first time after reading some good reviews. Unfortunately, the reviews were not realistic. I got a new set of tips with french. I was so excited because they looked good when they were all finished. However, the next day the gel started to peel. It is now about a week and a half later and my $80 nails are basically all peeled off. I would not recommend if you want your nails to last a normal amount of time. read more

Would not recommend. I got a french tip gel pedicure and it was $88 plus tip. I understand gel and french can cost extra but for $100 the nails should be perfect. I cannot praise Penny, Tony, and the rest of the staff enough at Chocolate Nails in New Milford. Penny is a perfectionist-- so talented. My nails come out perfect every single visit. I usually go for powder gel every three weeks or so, but I've had them last for over a month! My nails do not chip or crack. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my manicures! When I first started going there they went above and beyond. But they slowly began to lack. Rushing my pedicures. My toe nails weren't the same shape. My designs on my nails began to be less appealing each time I got one. ‍They started to care less about the client more about seeing the $ signs. Tony fixed them up including one broken one. He did an awesome ombré on them and I couldn't be happier! Kevin, the man who came around offering massages, was incredibly talented and I highly recommend "splurging" on a ten minute massage. Totally worth it. Tried this location in October, it is beautiful inside. They have lots of color choices. I got a basic gel manicure and I was disappointed. The nail tech was very nice. Super sweet but the work was subpar. The gel was spotty with bubbles in the paint. The top coat was splotchy. I was headed to a funeral so I wasn't able to get it redone somewhere else. read more
