I really wanted to like this salon but unfortunately I had just an "okay" experience, and now my gel manicure is chipping and peeling after only 5 days. I heard about Diamond Nails through the NM FB group and decided to give it a try since they were running a special for 20% off all services. When I arrived, I was told there would be a 15 minute wait. Since I hadn't made an appointment, this seemed reasonable to me and I had no problem waiting. I used this time to pick a color. They had a pretty decent number of gel shades, but I wish they had more variation of colors. Mostly just pinks/reds. My actual manicure was eh. My nails were filed down shorter than I liked and not quite in the right shape, but neither of these were deal breakers. Unfortunately, my cuticles bleed twice during the manicure, which was unpleasant. The worst part of my experience was a young girl who ran around terrorizing the salon. I understand wanting to be welcome to everyone, but this girl was shaking tables, bumping into my chair, running around and yelling. I didn't expect perfect silence or anything, but I was unable to relax at all during this experience. I don't necessarily blame this on the salon, but it reached a point where several patrons were obviously annoyed by this behavior as the mother made no attempts to correct it. The biggest reason for me leaving this review is that I got my nails done on Sunday, and they were chipped and lifting by Friday. Part of the reason I got gel was because I'm travelling through New Years and I wanted nails that would last at least the full week between Christmas and NYE. Unfortunately, my manicure did not last. It's frustrating because I've had plain old manicures last far longer than this gel. What I will say is that everyone who worked at the salon was extremely nice and welcoming, and the interior is well-designed and clean. I will not be returning to Diamond Nails in the future. If you plan to go, I recommend making an appointment and skipping the gel, since it's clearly not worth it. UPDATE: The Salon reached out to me to offer to re-do my nails next time I'm in the area (I don't live in CT anymore). I really appreciated the offer and I will revisit again, and I will give a star back and update again once my nails are redone! read more

Pre COVID this salon was my "go to". I skipped around a bit after that, but thought I'd give these guys another shot. Wanted to get out from under summer polish and just wanted a trim, cuticle clean up, callus removal and buff. My $100 pedicure (fees, taxes, and tip - no change offered) looks like this two days later. I am angry. Asked her to go back and remove more of the previous polish ... she refused. My first time at this nail salon for a mani / pedi. I made an appointment ahead of time. I always just do regular polish but get a spa pedicure / regular manicure. I picked the color for my toes and then said just clear for my nails. The lady was super pushy about getting gel. Im not a fan of my hands being under the UV so I said No. The lady was very attentive to my feet, got every hang nail and cuticles on my toes nice and clean. When it was time for my manicure again with the gel. I told her no thank you I dont like the gel. Then she brings over gel colors that will match my toes. To get her off my back I told her Ok. After she was done cutting, filing my nails and doing my cuticles I told her no gel. She proceeds to tell me you will be along time at dryer. I told her that was Ok with me I just want clear regular polish. I have never felt so uncomfortable in a nail salon I dont think ever. When a paying customer says No - please listen. read more

I used to love this place when they first opened but as of lately I'm not happy. I got a sns manicure 2 days before christmas.. 8 days later my sns mani cure was cracking and full nails of polish where coming off.. this time around I got them done on new years eve.. had to go back 2 days later because the same thing. Now another 2 days have passed and its continuing to come off, so I go back for a 3rd time in 2 weeks and the guy tried telling me i need to moisturize more ... that's not why my sns is coming off.. it's because they rushed though the appt I made both times because they didnt want walk ins to leave. SNS polish is supposed to last 2-3 weeks both times it only lasted a week or less. I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I've visited the salon several times and always liked it until recently. I brought my seven-year-old daughter in for a pedicure and a few days later she had an infected toenail. After trying to treat it at home it still did not get better needless to say we brought her to the doctor where they had to use a needle on her to drain it and now she's on antibiotics because the infection is spreading. My poor daughter is now traumatized by nail salons because they did not clean their tools! Beware! read more

I had a great experience here! I wanted gel nails, coffin-shaped, with gel polish and a matte topcoat. They came out gorgeous and perfect! My nail tech was careful and detail-oriented (little mistakes with nails end up bothering the heck out of me, so I watch out for them) but still pretty quick and efficient. Customer BEwARE- "coupon" gimmick!! They said the powder gel-they offer a "$5" off "discount" but really they charge $35 ( after the "5$" off) but it's just a phrase to try to make you feel like your getting a deal! $35 is the going standard with all the other nail salons down the Loooong federal road street they are located off of/ on. They said French gel is ten dollars more, which would be $45. There's no actual discount! It's just a catch phrase they use to make it sound like you're getting a deal, plus trying to steal customers from other local salons- which charge the same price! Who would pay $40 of all the other salons charge $35 and don't try to make a false discount gimmick out of. Update-How incredibly discouraging and unprofessional that within a few days of posting a review of this business the business owner continues to negatively re engage and troll with my yelp account by obsessing and replying on my reviews of local nail salons I've frequented and even going as far as trying to minimize the legitimacy of my review despite the fact that since this nail salon opened I've had numerous experiences with them and they have never ever charged $40 dollars for powder gel- and continue to use this "coupon gimmick" since they opened. Im not a salon owner, even though this business owner would prefer it to be that way to minimize my review- I Have reported this business's yelp behaviors in response to my review to YELP as this platform is their business! In addition- my reviews for local salons are not all own star- as this business owner failed to recognize and attempted to distort in her comment to my review of her business-but I'll tell ya- yelp consumers are welcome to review my posts as this is how this platform works! She used the "five dollars off come to 35" despite never charging forty and doing this for months now- this business owner is trying to over compensate for my review but she still ruined this customer relationship with her trolling through my yelp and manipulative behaviors to counter and discredit my experience. She's not worried about her business-as she lacked any professionalism with me-she's worried about her image! I literally love my nails, they made it exactly like the picture-- and the women were super nice and fun!

They were very nice but absolutely destroyed my cuticles. They are still bleeding and it's been a few DAYS... They didn't do the shape i asked for either, it is rounded on one side and flat on the other when I asked for regular coffin. It took almost 3 and 1/2 hours too. I went here with my daughter to get manicures and pedicures. The owner was incredibly pushy about me getting a gel manicure. I told her I didn't want to put my hand under the UV lights. She told me "no lights just polish". It was a full gel manicure under the lights. I went back to have it taken off and she wanted to charge me to take it off after she forced me into the gel manicure in the first place. She was pushy to both my daughter and I when we wanted regular polish manicures. When checking out, she short changed me and completely knew she was being sneaky trying to get away with holding some one dollar bills. Would never go back and know that she acts like she doesn't understand BUT she understands everything when she wants to. read more

I thought I found my new spot and was ecstatic. I've been to dozens of nail salons at this point looking for my go to with reliable results every time. The tech that did my nails was so thorough which is why I am bummed to write this review. She took her time and my nails looked so good before and after the application. I got a dip powder which I'm familiar with because that's all I get since it became a new option versus acrylics. My nails have taken me a long time to grow and have nice length to them. I came in with one that cracked on a slant so it was significantly shorter than the others and needed a tip. Rather than even out my nail and apply a tip she cut it all off which to anyone growing their nails is a heart stopper. Having to wear a tip much longer than I needed was the first strike honestly. The process included steps I've never seen at the dozens of places I've been too. Usually due to my nail length I get a base coat, then three color dips, followed by a gel/liquid top coat. This time I got a base coat, two dips, and that same base coat put as a top coat. It left some of my nails with a specked look which I've gotten use to, a day later but not all of them have it. The real deal breaker was a day later and four nails are cracked which has NEVER happened to me. Just seems her process of two dips was not enough product on my nails. I don't perform any kind of work that involves banging my hands around so this is definitely a first for four broken nails the next day. And it really sucks because when I tell you the tech showed me what my natural nails were like and took care of them besides cutting the one and took her time she really did ! I would post pictures but my nails are a brown color you can barely see the cracks in unless you press on them. read more

NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!!! I made an appointment and when I came in they had no idea I was coming. This happened to at least 5 other people who came in claiming they had appointments. I went with a friend and they finished my whole manicure before hers was started. They used NO lotion NO towel and provided NO hand massage. Prices are not posted anywhere online or in salon. My friend got tips ( not acrylic) with gel polish and was charged an outrageous amount of 80$. I recommended Lavender Nails, and U2 nail salon In Brookfield. Overpriced. Made an appointment and asked specifically if they did acrylic. They said yes, but when I arrived they had no idea I was coming, did not have acrylic, and had no book for appointments. I went with a friend and they finished her nails before they even started mine. They did not put on any lotion, cuticle oil, or massage( which is supposed to be included in any service there). Worst nail place I have been to thus far. Made an appointment with my friend a few days before prom, and they put us in the pedicure chairs. We sat there for about half an hour before anyone got to us despite having an appointment. We then see other people coming in without appointments, they are seated. Mind you: there are three people working and about 5 waiting now. My friend and I were taken to the manicure chairs and then one woman proceeded to start both of our nails. She was incredibly slow (i'm talking two minutes for each layer of powder on a single nail.) At a certain point I notified the woman in charge that I had now been there for three hours, made an appointment, and a walk in who arrived later than me was getting her nails done and I asked her to finish my manicure, and she responded by just laughing. Literally laughing. I finally gave up, and paid a ridiculous amount (they charged me for the nails that were not finished) and left. On top of that it was terrible quality. The salon and the staff are top notch. It's clean and zen and the technicians were great. Sally the owner is extremely hands on and does great nail work. There are great massage technicians as well whom do shoulder massages. So far I've been for a pedicure and went back for a gel manicure and shoulder massage. All great service. I'm disappointed but not surprised. The staff was extremely nice and the place was very clean but the service was appalling. I went to get a gel manicure and a pedicure while my friend got a powder manicure and also a pedicure. During the process of the pedicure, the woman doing my nails only put one coating of nail polish and called it a day. Meanwhile, my friend got her nail destroyed by the woman because they were irresponsible and touched it while it was still drying. As for her pedicure, her toenails are now uneven as one of them looks like a pebble and the other looks like a crescent moon. The manicure was so poorly done that I wish my mother had done it instead. My friend cried on the way home because it was so expensive and it was her birthday. She wishes she had bought 20 cartons of Stew Leonard's orange juice instead. I didn't tip but my friend did :( read more
