Simply a gem of a place. Being relatively new to waxing, I have only one establishment with which to compare. Former place: Tea and crumpets. Upscale with a sense of "clique". $$$$. Waxing is one of many services provided (hair, nails, facials, massage, etc.). Until I tried K&M (looking for a more affordable alternative), I had no idea how sub-par my wax experience had been. Stay with your salon for your nails, hair and massages, but for insanely professional, above-par, affordable and genuinely friendly waxing services, K&M is the place to go, hands down. Outstanding. (And I agree... the review regarding time and organization had to have been a fluke. Unfortunately it overshadowed the reviewer's waxing experience itself, which I'm sure was fantastic.) read more

I drive by this place all the time & have been curious about it. Decided to call the day before Xmas Eve to make an appointment for an eyebrow wax. Although they were really busy with the upcoming holiday they got me in that day. Don't let the out dated outside appearance of the plaza dissuade you from checking this place out. Inside it's really nice & extremely clean. My appointment was with Marlene. Since it was my first time there she gave me a run-down of what kind of product they use & explained the sanitary way they provide waxing services. She was friendly, professional & did a great job. I had to find a new waxing center last fall, and could not be happier that I came upon K&M! I have no complaints about this facility or its specialists. This is the best facial waxing I have ever had. I've had experience with 3 different specialists over the last few months, and each one was wonderful. The hard wax they use is great and has never left my face sensitive or burned. The specialists are so careful and precise with eyebrows and truly take their time, and everything is very clean! Amazing! Not only are the prices the BEST I've seen for these HIGH end services....but the services themselves are Exceptional and nearly pain free!!! Staff are sweethearts, and studio is CLEAN and beautifully modern. I tell everyone the same thing: TRY THEM ONCE.......and if you aren't in LOVE w K&M, go back to your waxing place.....but you will be in love and come back again and again! I have been using waxing services for almost 18 years now and am extremely particular about the waxing center I choose. And I have to say K&M's technique of waxing is THE MOST HYGIENIC and effective I have ever seen. Of course Kayla and Marlene are both fantastic at their work and are wonderful people. By far the best waxing center I have ever been to. My mom and I drive an hour just to go here and get our brows done by Mariana, and it has ALWAYS been worth it. She has given us the gift of arched and shaped brows, and we are forever thankful! The whole staff is incredibly friendly and they make our time there enjoyable. Gentle wax, certainly more expensive, is appreciated and held at the ideal temperature in a container that looks like it just came out of the box, it's that clean. And then there's single use applicators, a must and often overlooked especially at the nail salon waxers. Rooms that are not slivers where you barely have room to get onto the table and can touch both walls lying there. Friendly techs with warm personalities to put you at ease in what can be an embarrassing and mildly uncomfortable dynamic between client and esthetician rounds out this list. I've been a client at the Brookfiled location, happily driving 40 minutes each way, because I had found all of the above criteria. Some time ago, the women at Brookfield, a VERY busy shop, told me they recently opened a second location in Pawling. I was reluctant, I'd finally found the perfect place... I did not have time to wait for an appointment or make the drive to Brookfield this week so I gave Pawling a try. K & M has completely replicated the Brookfield store from the front desk to the cleanliness, to the highly skilled, very friendly women who wax you. One of the women even remembered me from The other location which is unusual in these days of no one ever looking at you. The waxers want to know EXACTLY how you want your waxing to look, they are very open and accepting of any instruction and specific looks desired. they will make you comfortable and leave you with the best waxing you can get and are not finished until you are spic and span. Do yourself a favor. Treat yourself and your sensitive areas like they deserve and become a regular at K & M, you'll thank yourself....and walk a little sexier to boot!
