Though one of the oldest continuously running bars in Savannah, this is not a craft cocktail bar. It's a local, down to earth hangout! I only came in for a to-go drink and to take some photos. The door guy was laid back and cool. I walked right in, the bartender was super warm and friendly. Greeted me immediately. I asked for something refreshing without specifying a particular drink (keep in mind, it's simple here, nothing fancy). He poured me something fruity, but not too sweet, tasted great. Handed me my receipt with a smile and exchanged pleasantries. I spent several minutes admiring and snapping pics of the different Abraham Lincoln drawings. You could tell the patrons were all people from town and were all friends. You could also tell any of them would invite you to their table at any time! The Abe drawings are all over the place--radical, whimsical, silly, ridiculous, bizarre. I had fun taking some pics for instagram. This is the kind of place where everybody knows your name and they are always glad you came. Dive bar gem in Savannah.

When you visit Savannah... and you are 'of age'... definitely make a stop here. Super chill, Super cool joint. Small but with a great vibe. I love all the different drawings of Abe. And if you don't finish your drink... just pour it in a plastic to-go cup before exiting.

Been wanting to go here forever and finally had a chance to check out Abe's on Lincoln. You know those nights when you have tried all the fancy restaurants and bars in the city and you just want a simple beer with a great atmosphere. Well this is it! Inside is very unpretentious and the first thing you will notice is all the little pieces of paper with hand drawn versions of Lincoln on them. While some of them are crude drawings that your little nephew could have drawn, lot of them look like piece of art from former SCAD students. The drinks are cheap and the bartenders are quick and everybody seemed to be having a good time.

Awesome little dive bar in Savannah! The walls are covered in hand drawn pictures of Lincoln, some that are really impressive and creative. Bartender was friendly and my group thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Savannah and looking for an authentic bar to hang.

A very small historical bar, although not much to see here historically wise. Great drinks and worth stopping in to escape the heat!

Such a fun stop! It is really busy, but they are quick to get you a drink. It's small, but quaint. You can take your drink to go if you can't find a spot to sit. It's worth going in. Seeing all the drawings was fun and the vibe is great.

We love a great dive bar- and this is a great dive bar. Small, cozy, a million Abe Lincoln drawings. Friendly staff. No food- but that's to be expected.

    My finished masterpiece and others

What a neat place!!! It's a local dive atmosphere small bar. The bartender Steve was awesome! Many previous patrons have drawn their "version" of Abe Lincoln. Clearly the theme. You're handed a small paper & pencil to draw away at will. After you're done you get to post your masterpiece on the wall or ceiling. Casual and comfortable. Would definitely come back. We had a blast here!!

I ADORE a dive bar! And this one had a theme - Abe Lincoln. Makes sense given where the bar is located on lincoln in Savannah, GA. Everything you would expect from a diver bar - noisy, super busy (we got there around 10ish or so), lots of customers moving around the bar, scattering of tables, going for a smoke outside. The big thing about this bar is the many, many, many customer drawings and sketches of Abraham Lincoln in a variety of looks, places, speech bubbles. Drawings lined the walls, ceiling, anywhere a piece of paper could be placed - there was Abe! I loved the lighting. Dimly lit inside but with lots of bright christmas lights of various types scattered around the space. I saw some snacks available for purchase, but you know the kind of food. Basic, salty, crunchy treats to go with booze. A delight! Highly recommend!

Awesome Bar. And the Yuengling is ice cold.

What a nostalgic place to get a beer. I happened to order a Yeingling at the bar, while their sales rep was sitting there. He bought my beers for the rest of the evening.

    Unique spot.

Definitely a neat spot to have a drink. It was fun to see all the creative drawings that dressed the entire bar. Service was not too friendly , but attentive.

This is as close to a no frills dive bar as you're gonna find in the touristy side of Savannah, and we loved it. Small, dark, quiet (when we were there), with thousands of drawings of Abe Lincoln hanging from the ceiling. The bartender (Daddy) was friendly and funny, and quick to refill a thirsty traveler's drink. This was the perfect respite from craziness that increases the closer you get to the river.

This pub was about a 10 minute walk from the Residence Inn so not bad at all. We arrived a little after 9:30pm and the place was busy in the bar area but plenty of seating in the dining area. We were immediately greeted and able to secure a spot within 2-4 minutes of arriving. You can tell this is a place where visitors patronize but there are also locals who were familiar with the bartender and had history. The bartender was lively and said whatever you want to drink if I have the ingredients I can make it. Old speckled hen and tenets on tap but no other English beer options. More of a variety of Irish beers. If you are seeking your traditional fish and chips as my lovely partner was this is not the place as they do not have fries, anything battered or fried on the menu. We ordered a open faced pot roast sandwich to share and it was a generous portion, meat was tender, gravy was tasty but if expecting roast in the sense of carrots, onions, parsnips this was just meat and gravy. However, I truly enjoyed it and the mashed potatoes were not instant and very tasty and filling. We felt welcomed, cozy and they were thorough on ID's which I appreciated. If ever in the area again we would return as they stayed open until midnight.

Bathroom is located on the bottom level (kinda scary down there when the lower level of the restaurant isn't open). Good part, the food was piping hot and fresh. I got 24 Rockafeller Oysters and the Spinach Dip. Both of them were so good. The oysters were plated a lil sloppy but they were good nonetheless. The spinach dip had a thick cheesy crust on top and the pita chips were hard but still went well with my oysters and spinach dip. I also got a Churchill burger and it was sooo thick and juicy! I'd definitely get that again. Overall, I liked it and you may like it too. My bill for all 3 things came out to $68 which isn't too bad because i got big portions and a lot of food!

We were there at 5:15 PM on a Thursday afternoon and it was 82 degrees Fahrenheit with a nice breeze so the rooftop was perfect. I ordered the Ale Braised Shepherds Pie with of course, an ale! The ale was quenching and the pie made a good appearance! There was a perfectly baked pastry on top. It was light and crunchy and was a nice twist over a mashed potato-based pie. Unfortunately, it was a bit too salty. It wasn't so bad that I wanted to send it back but it was definitely more salty for my taste. There were nice chunks of beef but the larger pieces were slightly dry and chewy. Our server Matt took good care of us (like our request to rearrange the tables and chairs to accommodate our group) so kudos to him.

I definitely do not regret our decision as we had a great meal. The interior ambiance of the restaurant truly transports to another place, it is truly beautiful. Our server was so gentle and gave us many recommendations on things to try and even accommodated some of requests. We started with the Espresso Martini and non-alcoholic French 75 (my first time) and these were both great. For appetizers, we had the crab croquettes (cakes), escargots and caesar salad. Everything was delicious (including the complimentary bread) , and to our surprise the Caesar salad had a nice crunch with the addition of fried frog leg pieces (if I'm not mistaken). The main entrees were the stars of the night, while we were originally inclined to try their Steak & Frites, our server recommended the steak tips sautéed over mushroom sauce with pasta and this was the perfect match instead of the classical French fries pairing. We also had the Supreme Roasted Chicken with caramelized veggies and everything was cooked to perfection. We did not leave without dessert and tried their Créme Brûlée, and while it was runnier than usual, the flavor was there. We thought it needed more time. Overall a great experience while in Savannah!
