Dive bar vibes, with some fun games scattered around and on the tables. The bartender was friendly but not overbearing. The drinks they have listed are definitely more on the sweeter and more main stream but reasonably priced. It seems like a great spot to host big groups for a night out, bachelorette or bachelor parties. We sat at the bar to watch a game but didn't try any food. read more

We were walking down the street, and my wife pointed out the sign that said husband daycare. I immediately ran towards the sign, given that my wife, best friend, girlfriend, and sister wanted to go shopping. Initially, my best friend went along for the shopping but quickly joined me in drinking and enjoying the bar games. We almost played every game they had down there and enjoyed plenty of great drinks. The bartender was excellent and gave some great recommendations for beers. She offered to let me try some of the beers before I fully committed to the drink. The place provides a college bar vibe and was surprisingly not packed. This would be a great place to host a party or hang out with a large group of people to drink and have fun. read more

This was unfortunately the middle stop on our pub crawl. Unfortunate because being the middle it was less memorable in almost every way. Kind of a typical college bar reminiscent of rocket bar in Washington DC. Arguably one of the best places to get games and play and stay busy while you drink. They had darts beer pong, some weird putting game, as well as board games like connect four, trouble,sorry, and Simon, which ended up being pretty fun lol. We hung out here as soon as they opened and some of the first people in we played darts which required us to give the bartender ID, but were free to play, and then moved over to some of the other random games throughout the basement highly recommend checking out if you're someone that likes to stay busy while you're drinking and on vacation. Great service, reasonable prices overall awesome atmosphere. read more

GREAT BASEMENT DIVE BAR!! Came here for a phenomenal happy hour around noon on a Tuesday (across from the Prohibition Museum, which is an awesome tour). I think it was 2 for 1 drinks, which is unheard of these days. The two employees were the nicest employees we encountered in our week trip to the South. Very, very nice people. They asked us where we were from, gave us advice on places to visit, and made for great conversation. Can't say enough nice things about them. read more

This is a super fun place to go! A group of us went here on our underground bar crawl. There are so many things to do. They have games all over. They have large and small connect four, beer pong and giant jenga. They also have this game where you have to move this wand with a metal ring on the end of it without touching a wavy metal bar or a light will go off. There was also a fun two person game where one stand on one side and one side on the other. There are five see thru bars that light up. When the light goes out you have to be the first to grab the bar. So much fun. They have a nice range of draft and canned/bottled beers. There is also a large charging station for your phone! read more

Spent a couple hours at Pour Larry's one Thursday afternoon while visiting Savannah. The bar was pretty empty but we didn't mind. It's a basement bar and a bit of a dive however they have lots of board games and some arcade games which kept us entertained. The bartender was so kind and helped teach us how to play one of the card games they have - Phase 10. She was so patient with us since we couldn't figure out how to play it just from reading the instructions. They seem to run several drink specials and the drinks were reasonably priced to begin with. Definitely worth a visit. read more

Great bar! Allowed our boxer to come in and chill out with us Lots of fun bar-type activities to keep people entertained! After coming here on a couple of trips to Savannah, my now wife and I chose Pour Larry's as an informal after party for our wedding. Frankly, we do not have enough amazing things to say about this place. Ashlee was communicative, professional, and such a positive person to work with, and she prepared the staff for an influx of formally dressed folks looking to keep the party going. The drink selections were perfect, the bar itself had a bunch of games that kept everyone well preoccupied, and the intimate space perfectly hosted our group without feeling crowded. Hats of to Ashlee and her team for making the biggest day of our lives that much more memorable. This bar will always have a special place in our hearts and we cannot wait to come back! read more

I quite like this bar and the idea of drinks To-Go. I love to be able to drink in the streets. I've been describing Savannah as a cleaner version of New Orleans. I really liked it and I wish to stay longer next time. Anyway, this bar was cool. The bathroom was clean, which I greatly appreciated. I got a drink to go. This is by far our favorite place to hang out in Savannah. I love it so much I bought a Pour Larry's t-shirt. We stopped in twice during our week long visit. The first night was before our carriage ride and the second time was just to hang out after dinner. We had the same bartender both evenings and he was great. They have games to play and entertain you. The shark one where you touch the teeth didn't work out so well because as soon as that plastic shark bit my husband's finger he spilled his drink everywhere. So funny! Just remember if you play this one it will bite you eventually. There was another game called Space Force which my husband enjoyed. He enjoyed it so much that when I found it at the mall I bought it for our family Christmas party. This year I'm starting a Christmas tradition of adding games like this to play with our family. I enjoyed the huge operation game even if I didn't do well at it. The drinks were awesome! My favorite was the gummy worm drink. I love this bar. Super unique atmosphere & drinks. They offer things you won't find in other bars in Savannah. Located in the market place. My favorite drink here is the peach slammer. It's so good, doesn't even taste like alcohol. I also tried another drink they offer called the gummy worm and it had gummy worms in it. They have huge table sized versions of games to play too. The area called City Market has restaurants, shops and bars... this one was a bar only. You walk down two flights of stairs into 3-4 rooms of bars. I can imagine but it could get packed at night; we were there about 6:30 and it was deserted! That's ok we just want a drink to go. Yes here they give you drinks to go out on street to walk along..ok. The one caveat you must have an ID to buy at a bar..not for age only just to buy liquor in Savanna said our bartender. Of course I didn't have one so my husband had to carry our drinks out..no problem! read more

Oh my gosh I loved this place! Initially stumbled in here to get a drink to go, and it was a buy one get one night, so my friend and I had the popular Gummy Worm drink, which was delicious (you gotta like em sweet, though). After we had dinner, we told our group they had to come see this place. We got our drinks and then got to work on some games. They were all really fun and the bar even had a photo booth! This is a fun bar right in the heart of downtown Savannah. Both times I've been here service was always really nice. Their music selection is nice because they switch it up playing old school as well as new school music. Last time we came it was after dinner with another couple, the first hour was really nice but just to warn you the younger, college crowd does start packing this place up around 12ish to the point where it's extremely packed and the music gets louder the later it becomes. Pros- this place will have you feeling like a kid again from all the different games you can play to music and photos Cons- once the younger crowd started coming we did feel a little uncomfortable and left being that they were NOT checking anybody for weapons that they let in, and being Pour Larry's is in a basement setting it's an accident waiting to happen read more

The all-beef hot dog was hearty and filled me up. The French fries were a different type than I am used to receiving, but they were delicious. There is an electronic ax-throwing game in the restaurant, which was closed, so I did not experience that. Crave is located in the middle of what I call a SCAD block of dorms and classrooms. This visit was a couple of days after graduation so the place was not full. Nothing bad to report, I may try some BBQ on a later visit.

My husband ordered the pulled chicken sandwich, which came with fries and a choice of side. He opted for the coleslaw. They offered us a complimentary cookie which I enjoyed on the way out. The to go order was served in a paper box and a paper bag. No napkins or utensils were given (this is the new "green" initiative businesses are doing, which I appreciate). By the time we got home to eat, my husband said the sandwich was great but needed more sauce. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They mentioned there will be a grand opening party in coming days. I am glad to see this area of the historic district being built up with hot & new businesses!

We sampled the Georgia cheese platter, featuring an excellent selection of cheeses paired with pepper jelly, honeycomb, and candied pecans. The pairings complemented the cheeses beautifully, and the fresh, soft faccio was particularly impressive. For beverages, we enjoyed the Amethyst Blueberry Ginger Mint on Ice, a non-alcoholic drink that was refreshingly zingy and palate-cleansing, along with a classic lemonade. But Boomy's brings the broth. I've been there two or three times, and it's my new pho go-to. The noodles are wider than At Saigon Cafe, but that's fine; they hold their bite longer without getting mushy. Please note: Boomy's is a bar on Congress Street in Downtown Savannah. It's wheelchair accessible and laid back. A Dad out with his two young boys asked if one kid could use the bathroom and was welcomed ... no purchase, no hesitation. And a lady in a wheelchair with her companion and her dog ducked in for a soft drink and a rest. Everyone's welcome. Nothing about its façade or dive-bar vibe suggests it serves bangin' Vietnamese food. Waitstaff is quick to show you the burger menu on the back, in case pho isn't your jam. Because they serve Thai food as well, they're careful to have you choose your heat level. They're happy to give you pepper flakes on the side and Sriracha at the table. But my pho didn't need it. My lunch companion got the rare beef pho. The hot soup came with thin slices of beef wrapping in foil on the side. Drop it in and it cooks. Looked delicious. My pho ga was amazing. I rarely can eat it all, but I did that day. My only minor complaint is that the bean sprouts looked a little less than fresh, but I'm not a big fan of them in soup anyway. Didn't slow me up one bit. But I AM a big fan of their cucumber and tomato salad. Cukes, chopped tomatoes, grated carrots, and maybe grated radish were all dressed with fish sauce, maybe rice vinegar, and a little sugar. If I'd had some cilantro I would have added it; cilantro is expensive these days. Can't blame them for not including it. It may be available by request. Oh, and try the cocktails. I had the tequila cooler and subbed watermelon vodka for cucumber vodka. So refreshing. Go to Boomy's. Get there on one of the few remaining cool days of spring. Especially because I was getting excellent service from the server!!! I've always had quality service from servers here. In the future, I would come to Rhett for convenience as a hotel guest (the hotel is lovely), but would likely not spend my money if I wasn't staying at the hotel. Overall- it's good food, decent ambiance... but there are soooo many good options in Savannah. You have to be exceptional to stand out in that city.
