Rhett was hands down one of the best servers we've ever had. He was incredibly personable and attentive, and genuinely seemed to care that we had a great experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and every dish we ordered was spot on. It's rare to find a place where the drinks, food, and service are all equally outstanding, but this place nailed it. We left saying this was the best meal we had in Savannah, and that's not something we say lightly. We can't wait to come back the next time we're in town!

The reason it happened was the waiter accidentally ordered us the seafood special, not the steak special. They were apologetic about it, but still, a dinner we were looking forward to turned to a rushed scarfing down of food. Would have been nice if they comped one of the dinners, or offered a free round of drinks for the inconvenience. As for the meal itself - the shrimp dinner was meh - only came with 6 shrimp for $32 (pirates house shrimp dinner tasted better and came with over a dozen large shrimp). The ribeye was perfectly cooked, but needed more seasoning. My guess is because they rushed it, they may have forgotten the salt. The steak sauce (tamarind forward a1) wasn't my cup of tea. On the positives - both of the sides were amazing - highly recommend they put those on the main menu. All in all - there's too many good restaurants in Savannah, I doubt I'll be coming back. Given the ambiance, maybe good idea to come for a drink and dessert? (Although the wine pour was a little weak too).

The only thing disappointing about this speakeasy is you walk right up two flights of steps. No password, no hidden entrance, door wide open. I paid almost 123 dollars for a VIP table (three seats, I was solo, so essentially I paid for three seats at one table) up front. It's a super small venue and the general admission seats are mere feet behind the tables and much cheaper. We were there at 5:15 PM on a Thursday afternoon and it was 82 degrees Fahrenheit with a nice breeze so the rooftop was perfect. I ordered the Ale Braised Shepherds Pie with of course, an ale! The ale was quenching and the pie made a good appearance! There was a perfectly baked pastry on top. It was light and crunchy and was a nice twist over a mashed potato-based pie. Unfortunately, it was a bit too salty. It wasn't so bad that I wanted to send it back but it was definitely more salty for my taste. There were nice chunks of beef but the larger pieces were slightly dry and chewy. Our server Matt took good care of us (like our request to rearrange the tables and chairs to accommodate our group) so kudos to him.
