I made a snap decision on a shingle color from a small sample while talking to the TLC rep for ten minutes and have regretted that decision ever since. The TLC rep made no mention of researching the color selection so it is up to the customer to do so. To be fair the roof job went very well. All of the TLC employees were friendly, professional & showed good workmanship. I would recommend TLC to anyone but would caution them on their shingle color selection.

I was looking to side a house that was very dated and out of shape. I had a few special needs on…read morethis job. I was contacted by Jeremy offering to give a quote for the job. I had two other well known companies that came in one at 15k+ and another at 12k+. I started working with Jeremy with the quote and he uses a app on the smart phones that is called hover. This app allows you to take pictures of your house from different angles and render a 3D view of the house. He came back with what I thought was a fair price. All the items I wanted covered in the contract were covered. Everything was signed through electronic documents. He was able to get me 0 down and 0% interest for a term of 6-12 months. I ended up going with the 6 month term. The only think I wish I had was more face time with Jeremy during the signing process. Install: The installers where great. Very hard workers and knocked out the project with 2 guys in 4 days. I was on site a lot of the time and I did not see any time of them not working hard and that was something great to see. They communicated with me and let me know what was going on and made sure that I was informed. When the project was done I had a few things that I wanted to get touched up. Very small things they knocked out in 10 mins. That was great to see. I would say my overall experience with Jeremy and the crew was a very good one. Fair Price, quality work, good communications, and willing to make sure I was satisfied with the project even if it meant coming out to fix something.

Anthony got my contact info from another roofing company (see my review on Brightside) & reached out to me. Since I had already interviewed 3 companies with no success, I decided to give him a chance. I was out of state at the time Anthony contacted me, so we set up a time & date for him to call me & conduct an estimate. He said that Brightside had already provided him with all of my information but he wanted to investigate my roof for himself because Brightside said the job was "too hard". He never contacted me on the said date & time, I had to call him... during this conversation he told me way too much tmi! That he forgot because his wife had a doctors appointment for their new baby, they just got married several months ago, they didn't think she could conceive another child, etc. That right there is a sales pitch that is used way too often for me to take anyone like this seriously. Sales men often try to feed you their sob stories in hopes that they'll come off as relatable or that you'll feel sorry for them & give them the job. However, the damage from the roof had increased so I needed someone asap. When Anthony finally did show up, he arrived unprepared- no latter, no roofing samples, no pen/paper to write down his measurements, he couldn't answer basic questions like cost of labor. This annoyed me because he had 4 to 5 days to prepare for our meeting. The entire time that we spoke, he bashed Brightside & relayed a number of comments that company made about my roof. He also went on to tell me even more info about his personal life that I felt shouldn't be shared...he was married before, this is baby number 6, he's broke & really needs the money,etc... At this point I was loosing my patience. He also kept getting way too close to my personal space, I don't like it when a complete stranger stands so close to me that I can feel the heat coming off of their body. So every time I moved a few feet away he was immediately next to me, he also kept lifting up his shift to wipe his face. Yes, it was extremely warm that day but this is unprofessional to me. Is Anthony polite, yes. Yet again, there is a fine line between suggestive selling & bragging about your capabilities; he brags! "I'll go above & beyond", I can do this/I can do anything....I'll add flashing around your garage door, I'm going to rip out your dormer walls & rebuild them,etc... he never even went up on the roof to see what needed to be accomplished!!!! Yet he gave me a basic quote from the ground (yes his price was the cheapest & he has pictures on his facebook of his work- it is nicely done) but if you can't even come prepared you're not making a good impression. I had asked if he could write up a broken down estimate of the cost so I could discuss things with my husband & was told his wife would write something up for me.On average, this usually takes a week .But within 2 days Anthony called me to ask if I wanted to hire him to do the job- I still didn't have the estimate so I texted him & to explain that I couldn't make a final decision if I'm unaware of the cost (Brightside did this to me as well). He replied that he fell off a roof & broke his back. Clearly, if this is true, I would never expect someone to drop everything just to bring me paperwork(which you'll see in my pics of our conversation) yet all this guy did is make excuses the entire time. From the first call to the last text- one excuse after another- he's exhausting! I can't tell you if his work is reliable or not since I never used his services but as you can see if he can'r even get his sh*t together to do an estimate I don't feel one could rely on him to do a job. He also kept telling me that he only lives 10 minutes away, if that was the case what was so hard about showing up on time, having the right supplies to do the job,etc..? I understand that life happens & it's never just one major issue it's 50 annoying things all at once. But if you don't have the time to do a job, just tell someone so they can look elsewhere. It looks better to be upfront & honest than waste their time...if Anthony was more organized, who's to say I wouldn't call him later on down the road to do another job?
