Melissa Ahamad, (SLPA) started working with my son when he was at 15 months old my son cannot say anything other than Mama and Papa. Fastforward to today, he is now 2years old and has over 80 words though not perfectly pronounced but still a big big improvement from how he was before. We started with sign languages then to minimal words. He hits himself when he cannot express his emotions, so when he started to use and understand the word NO, hitting was gone. It's such a relief. Kids express themselves better through language. At the end of each session, Melissa would give me recommendations for me to continue what she's doing with my son. Goals are set at each period and we try to meet them, e.g. follow steps, identify 5 objects, action words etc. At 2 years old, NLARC added another therapy for my son which is Child Development Services/ Infant Stimulation Therapy. Ernesto is my son's therapist for this service. He is also great! I have lots of questions regarding my son's behavior and development and he answers them patiently and explain everything to me, he even brought a book as reference for our topic. Their Supervisor Dara is also awesome! She evaluates my son's progress and works/plays with him well even though she's technically a stranger for him cos he has only seen him twice but she got my son to play with him unlike the other evaluator who would just stop trying just because he's shy. The office is so easy to contact, whenever I ask for paperwork they would easily send it to me! I love Optima Family Services, Keep it up! You help lots of kids and families.

When I called Denise she would always try to laugh it off and try to manipulate the situation saying they couldn't find anyone that work with our schedule -Said schedule in question- Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm Denise did say she was going to call me the next day ... 3 days have past My daughter is supposed to be receiving 30.5 hours a WEEK we barely make it to 6hours a week Even after leaving the company I waited weeks for her final progress report , so I called (weeks after) and they said they are still working on it !!!!!!!!!!!!!! TLR- go to this company if you really don't care to actually get your child consistent help & also the receptionist always answers the calls as if I'm calling her personal phone. Just for privacy reasons I didn't add the screenshot but I will if needed

I've used them for about 2 years, on and off, and unfortunately, it's hard to find good special needs therapy organizations in Los Angeles. I have Anthem Blue Cross so I've used a couple other organizations but ALP tends to have better staff compared to others, but unfortunately, they tend not to stay for whatever reason, and we're stuck with another trainer, coach every 6-8 months. Although Dr. Gina Chang is listed as the president of ALP, she doesn't have any interaction with patients. Most interactions are with staff via phone or "trainers". The current one we have, Jennifer, has been great and I hope she stays with the company but she has been our 6th one in over 2 year period.

All the good Therapist end up quitting the company due to how the schedule their staff. And the ones they hire to replace them have no experience and probably very minimal training. When I addressed my concerns about my son's current therapist with the BCBA, I was just brushed off and Informed that they would not reassign my son to a different therapist who has more experience. They seem to hire just anyone. Also when we initially started with the company, they were forcing on us to do 40 hours a week when he initially was only approved for 25 hours. They seemed like they only want to bill my insurance and just send any random person to be with my son. We had also informed our developmental pediatrician about this and he agreed that they are only looking to bill the insurance. We have had great therapist during our time with ALP But all have either left the company or were removed from my son's case due to their own scheduling conflicts. At the end of they day, they do not care about your child's development but their own bottom line. To any parent reading this, please do your research and avoid ALP. Just because they respond to your providers inquiry fast doesn't mean they are good. I only wish there were more regulations and ways to report companies like ALP.

Fast forward to today.. he feels so safe and at home - he is definitely thriving! Fraser has a very strong personality, and we love how patient the staff is and how the Montessori way allows him to channel it positively. We absolutely adore his teachers (Ms. Nhi, Ms. Veronica, Ms. Wen, and Ms. Cat) + a special shout-out to Ms. M, who spoils him with so much love! What really stands out is that all the teachers at the school seem genuinely happy and know Fraser personally. The director, Ms. Prima, is super on top of everything and fosters a great relationship with all the families and staff. I truly appreciate the extra thought and care she puts into the school. If you want a place where your child will be safe, known, and nurtured, we highly recommend this amazing team!

My child transferred to this preschool because of the Eaton Fire. One of the main reasons we chose…read morethis school was that it is much more than a regular daycare -- it offers a trilingual learning environment with reasonable price. Even though my child is in the English program, he also takes Chinese and Spanish classes. Friends of mine from other cities and states often see the school activities I share/post and tell me how envious they are that we have access to such an amazing preschool. My child has learned so much here, especially in STEM-related subjects. His life skills, independence, and hands-on abilities have improved tremendously. The school also provides a wide variety of enriching activities, including science fairs, carnivals, puppet shows, bubble shows, and animal petting events where the children can ride ponies and interact with rabbits and other animals. The school also hosts special Mother's Day and Father's Day breakfast events that make families feel very involved and welcomed. Every year, the winter and spring performances are what I look forward to the most. It is truly impressive to see a group of 4-year-olds confidently perform three English songs, one Chinese song, one Spanish song, and even a dance routine on stage. The children always look so confident and joyful. This year, my child will be graduating, and I am incredibly grateful to Ms. Joanna and Ms. Regina. They are warm, energetic, patient, and genuinely caring teachers. The classroom environment they create is loving and harmonious, and the children are kind and supportive toward one another. We will always appreciate the wonderful experience our child had here.
