I hate going to the eye doctor…read more.. BUT Dr. Batista is the absolute best ophthalmologist I have ever seen. I've gone to many a Vision Works or For Eyes to get my eyeglass prescription. They always get it wrong. Dr. Batista got my right prescription and I'm doing better than ever. The practice is small, but always booked. That is why some people are complaining about the appointments. But his patients know how good he is and that's why they deal with the wait time. However, the appointments, go very quickly. I arrived for a full eye check up and eyeglass prescription update and the whole affair only took an hour. That is unseen in this kind of practice where Drs sometimes take 3-4 hours to do this procedure. This is not an emergency eye issue doctor, for that go to Bascom Palmer. This is a regular eye check and chronic issue doctor, and he is great. The staff is kind. The facility is clean. The technology is top of the line. The doctor is patient, and understanding especially with people who do not like seeing the eye doctor. (Like me.) I highly recommend him. He's the only eye doctor that my primary doctor goes to, and that says something! Don't pay attention to the ppl complaining about the appointments, just be timely on your schedule, and make sure you schedule your regular appointments. He's worth scheduling the appointment 2 months in advance.

Dear Dr. Murdock, I…read moream writing to express my disappointment regarding the results of my upper and lower eye procedure from November 2024 and the subsequent lack of a resolution. While I found the lower eyelid work to be exceptional, I have remained dissatisfied with the results of the upper procedure. During my 10-month follow-up, you noted excess skin but suggested it would improve as the muscles healed. However, my eyes still feel heavy and uncomfortable. When I called this past Monday to schedule an appointment, I was informed there would be a $200 consulting fee because you have changed practices and it has been over a year since the operation. Given that I paid approximately $16,000 out of pocket--in addition to insurance coverage--I find it unacceptable to be charged for a follow-up on a concern that has been ongoing since the initial recovery. I previously requested that your office discuss this with you, noting that I would share my experience online if this could not be resolved. As a week has passed without a follow-up call, I am now moving forward with sharing my experience. As a business owner myself, I believe in standing behind one's work until the expected results are delivered. I can't express this enough. Do not go here! I have my usual doctor but I had to go somewhere last…read moreminute so I booked with Dr. Casas to do my glasses before I left. Since I couldn't get one with my usual doctor in time. Big mistake on my end. I should have just waited. First and foremost, the doctor always has an attitude. Didn't do my presciption right and kept blaming it on where I did my glasses. I couldn't get them done at Lenscrafters because the prices are outrageous. So I did it with Warby Parker. I've never had an issue with them. She said it was a problem with this and that and this and that and I followed everything she said. Went in person, switch the glasses, got anti-glare, got them extra thin, etc. Yet I still couldn't see properly. She kept saying it was Warby Parker. Girl, I've been going for YEARS and have never had an issue. I had to go back three times, telling her each time, I still couldn't see. She kept saying it was fine and that a person with my high prescription and high astigmatism would never see perfectly. Well, I've never had an issue before so, what are you talking about? When I suggested the problem is the presciption she got so offended. As if that's so unheard of? You're a human being, mistakes will happen. Also every person working has an attitude give or take a few people. There was one woman there, who worked for the LensCrafters side of things, who was so sweet and always so patient (cause I kept trying to see if there were any glasses I could afford). Anyway, they kept blaming me for their mistakes. Then wanted me to pay another 50 dollars to change contact lense brands...that has never happened me before. Why would I have to pay another 50 dollars to change brands for my contact lenses, that's crazy. I don't have that kind of money and I could barely afford the glasses and contacts exam. I understand they have a way of doing things and I would have done it, if not for the having me pay more money. If they knew I would have to pay 50 dollars to change brands, why wouldn't the doctor just ask me what contacts I'm comfortable with? Why not tell me they had this policy and if I wanted to change brands that would be on me? When this was pointed out to them, they blamed me...are you serious? Just so inconsiderate of people's money. The doctor was so passive aggressive and made me feel so uncomfortable. I've never had such an awful experience with an eye doctor before.
