Disappointed and shocked by the owner's behavior…read more I've been a customer here for almost 10 years, and while Sylvia (the owner) has never been particularly friendly, I continued to support her business. However, today was the last straw. I tried on four pieces and asked about the alteration prices. When she told me it would cost $38 to alter a dress I bought for $25, I simply said that didn't make sense to me financially. Out of nowhere, she began yelling at me--in front of another customer--accusing me of wasting her time and demanding $10 for it. She told me she would never do my alterations again (which I had no intention of continuing anyway), and falsely claimed that I always complain about her prices. This was completely untrue. The whole experience was upsetting, unexpected, and completely unprofessional. I was shocked by how aggressive and rude she became over a simple conversation. I won't be returning, and I hope others are treated with more respect than I was today.

They've always did what I asked at a decent price, which by the way, I always get a kick out of negotiating good-naturedly and half-jokingly with the Chinese lady who runs it. No, she doesn't speak perfect English (and can comr across a little gruff), but that just adds to the appeal for me. The interior is small, simple and very un-Stonecrest-like, but with the help of a little imagination, it is the probably the closest I will ever get to Shanghai.

Never received phone call of when clothes were completed (ticket said the date ok that's fine). White shirts still clearly damaged. The shirts were left and contact info provided. This was last week on Thursday, I waited 3 business days out of etiquette. Called today and will hopefully have a call tomorrow. Disappointed in the response time and lack of communication. I've gone to this place a few times, and have had mixed results. I once took a jacket to have it…read moretaken in. They weren't able to split the side seams due to the pockets (or didn't want to) but they did make some very nice pleats in the back and also hemmed the sleeves for me. So a good result! I wear it all the time. But i've also had a few pants hemmed, and have had mixed results there. One pair is still way too long despite their careful measurements. ... and that brings me to another complaint I have. Now, i used to work in NYC by the fashion district, so my standards are a bit high...but they kept my measurements on file so i didn't have to try on a pair of pants every time I needed a hem. I'd bring them the pants, tell them to take 2 inches off the hem, and they would have that done the same day. Anna's insists that you try everything on for them to mark with pins...which is annoying especially when the hem length comes back wrong. Also the turn around is slow but I understand that. So i would suggest that careful communication is key, and inspect everything you get back.

Saber Cleaners & Alterations did an absolutely phenomenal job on both of my dresses…read more Mom's Wedding Dress Firstly, I brought in my mom's wedding dress to completely be altered into a shorter dress that I could wear for my rehearsal dinner. It was such a special project - they cut away the top/neckline and much of the bottom and added boning and made sure the top was secure to become a strapless dress. It was so beautiful and I loved the length and the bottom of the dress. They also took some of the beautiful flowers to cover the sides where we removed some from the top. It was definitely a labor of love and all of my friends and family were so happy :) My Wedding Dress I am pretty short (5'), and needed the dress taken in around the bust and waist. They shortened the front but kept the train long and added a bustle for after the ceremony. It fit like a glove!!!! So so perfect and they took such good care of both of my dresses :) They are both so kind and were amazing throughout this entire process. I brought both of my dresses in after Christmas (Dec 2024) and got married March 15, 2025, so they were SUPER quick with everything. I will continue to use them for all of my alterations and cleaning needs. Thank you SO MUCH!!!!
