Mom's Wedding Dress Firstly, I brought in my mom's wedding dress to completely be altered into a shorter dress that I could wear for my rehearsal dinner. It was such a special project - they cut away the top/neckline and much of the bottom and added boning and made sure the top was secure to become a strapless dress. It was so beautiful and I loved the length and the bottom of the dress. They also took some of the beautiful flowers to cover the sides where we removed some from the top. It was definitely a labor of love and all of my friends and family were so happy :) My Wedding Dress I am pretty short (5'), and needed the dress taken in around the bust and waist. They shortened the front but kept the train long and added a bustle for after the ceremony. It fit like a glove!!!! So so perfect and they took such good care of both of my dresses :) They are both so kind and were amazing throughout this entire process. I brought both of my dresses in after Christmas (Dec 2024) and got married March 15, 2025, so they were SUPER quick with everything. If you can figure out the pricing this place has, your ahead of the game, a tie is as much as a jacket and as much as a pair of pants but two ties are cheaper than a suit which is a jacket and pants. All with 10 signs that says how much per piece is, plus who makes the consumer pay the cost of the credit card transaction. That's called part of the cost of doing buisness. This place offers verbal and physical assault. I had two pairs of jeans tailored in the waist. When the alterations weren't done right, I returned them for repairs and was accused of "cheating him." He verbally berated me for minutes. I left, posted a negative review, and contacted my credit card company for a refund. The wife (co-owner) saw my review and offered a refund. However, they couldn't agree, so he refused. He then offered a refund if I deleted the review, which was never discussed. He berated me again, so I recorded the incident. In the video, he called 911 and claimed I threatened him despite attacking me. I waited for the police, who arrived quickly and identified him as the aggressor because he was arguing and talking over him. Avoid this place, especially if you're black. Edit to my review to reflect owners response: At the time, I was not given a refund. My card was mistakenly charged a second time, and that duplicate charge was refunded. The original charge was only reversed after I disputed it with my credit card company. It was not the head tailor who attacked me and called the police. It was the owner, Charles Saber, as shown in the video. Despite the footage, the co-owner continues to deny it instead of taking responsibility. I stand by my experience. I found and contacted this business via Yelp and was in need of a dress being "let out". Basically, I ordered a gorgeous dress on Shein for $40 & wanted to wear it to a wedding. The largest size was a large, and I needed an XL (in which that size wasn't an option to order). I LOVED the communication from the beginning and was locked in immediately amongst other responses coming back from my initial "project" inquiry. I was quoted one thing, but that amount doubled when I arrived. However, what I initially asked for wasn't the way to fix my problem, and the added fabric on top of a rush order yielded my cost. I ended up paying double what I paid for the dress online, but it was worth it in the end. I was a bit hesitant when I got to the establishment because the friendliness in the messages back and forth wasn't the same in person, and when I asked about a military discount it's as if the audacity of me asking was beneath his liking. Either way, I ask that question at every establishment and a yes or no suffices. At the end of the day, the job was completed perfectly and on time as promised. Took in some women's slacks that needed tailored (too big). At first I thought $40 seemed like a lot but took a chance on Sabers long experience in alterations and tailoring -and the result was worth it! They needed to redo the seat as well as slim the seams -a total remake of a patterned slack. Alterations were done on time and the slacks turned out perfectly. If you're speeding on E. 4th street, you might miss Saber Cleaners. But I promise once you come here once, you won't go anywhere else. I dropped off a bridesmaid dress on Wednesday evening with hopes of getting it hemmed by Friday evening. I know some alterations take a week or more so I was concerned that this wouldn't be possible. I took my dress to Charles and he said that he could easily hem my dress, and he only charged me $30 ! The fitting only took a few mins and I was out the door. My dress was set to be done by 6 pm today (Friday) but I just picked it up and it's only 3pm. Not only are the prices great, Charles really does do high quality work and he gets it all done so fast.
