Fantastic work. Travis and Trent did wonders on our job. They came in behind another well known Walnut Creek plumber (who shall remain nameless). The other plumber's work resulted in ruining our Toto shower fixture. After 30 minutes of abusing our fixture with channel locks, the plumber gave up and said the "office would call to schedule a follow-up appointment". Never heard back from them. BTW -- this same firm installed our new hot water heater and screwed up the installation. Enter Able To Plumbing --- (1) diagnosed the problem, (2) removed the old Toto fixture and cartridge, (3) quickly sourced a new, replacement fixture and cartridge, and (4) installed it. This shop is now our go-to plumber. My key take away --- if you have high-end fixtures or equipment such as Kohler, Toto, or Rinnai, you need to hire qualified plumbers to work on them. Many of the large plumbing companies that advertise on Yelp and social media, are high volume chop-shops that focus on low-end stuff. We were told by Orkin Pest Control that we had a leak under our house but they weren't sure where it was. We contacted Travis last week to come look at our plumbing to try and find the possible leak. Within a week they were able to come to our house on a day that fit within our schedule. Travis and his son called us a few hours before our scheduled time to let us know that they were ahead of schedule and asked if they could come early. As soon as they arrived to our house they listened to what we had to say and got to work, searching for the leak. Once they determined where the leak was coming from they let us know what was going on and how much it was going to be for them to fix it right then. We gave the okay for the work to be done and they got everything situated within an hour and a half. They repaired two toilet seals and our front garden pipes. Our previous Gardner broke our pipe clean off and Travis was able to replace it and clean everything up. We are very happy with the communication, price and professionalism from Travis and his son. They answered all of our questions and helped us understand what was going on. We highly recommend them and will gladly hire them again!! read more

Be careful of this company. We had a circulating pump go out on us and we called to get that fixed. The "new" circulating pump that was put in is a 2012 model with a crack in the housing. We were not aware of this until we needed a new water heater and we were taking bids. One of those companies took photos of the pump and showed us the problems. My wife sent a request for a refund and removal of the 2012 pump. Our request is current so hopefully we will hear back from them and they will handle this professionally. You will see a similar comment from another home owner who had toilets replaced with old and out of date toilets. So be very careful if any equipment is replaced. I needed replacement of a leaking garbage disposal and the shut off valves in the wall were "frozen" in place and I was concerned that they would break off. Scheduled a next day appointment with Able To. They arrived on time, were very clean about the work, completed the service quickly, and the final price was very reasonable. The toilet at the far end of the house clogged on the 28th, and Able came 24 hours later. They snaked the line with a 1/2 snake and resolved the issue. Two days later on Friday the entire house went down, 3 water closets, 4 sinks, two showers and a tub, and the lower fixtures began flooding onto the floor. Turns out, they had dislodged the clog but not cleaned out the line, and the clog moved further down the line and took out the entire house. The service was under warranty so we called them on Friday afternoon. Here's why this turned into an unacceptable situation leading to a bad review... 1) The initial service appeared helpful but was incomplete and ended up taking the problem from one clogged fixture to taking out the entire house. 2) They didn't use a cutting blade that I saw, leaving the pipe full of debris from the clog as well as roots on the outside of the house. Two days later we were clogged again, and much worse this time. 3) When we called on Friday afternoon we were informed that the office was closed until Tuesday, we were speaking with an answering service, the owner had NOT left an emergency contact number, and the owner did not arrange for another company to pick up their emergency work during their absence. Bottom line - Everyone needs vacation time, but don't leave your answering service in that position. And don't leave your customers hanging without some way to get help. We ended up spending 400 bucks to rent a hotel room for two nights so our guests could use a toilet and shower, and had a different company come out and do a more thorough job cleaning the line, a cleaning that should have been done right in the first place. We are out a bit over 800 dollars extra IN ADDITION to their service fee, and their warranty turned out to be worthless when the owners disappeared for 5 days. We still haven't heard from them, and it's day 3 now... It's a shame because we liked the tech and appreciated their company TRYING to fix our problem but it was VERY frustrating and expensive. Would not recommend without some policy changes on their end. read more

I've used Able To Plumbing several times over the years. I first had a hot water heater blow out and flood my garage and they came to the rescue on the same day. A couple years later, I had a few water valves corrode and not shut off and they came out again, and then again. Today, I was out of town, in a somewhat remote area, and had another water valve issue. I was able to call and talk with Travis for some advice. I feel like I spent a lot of money for the work. I could have been more patient with my urge to get the toilet flush leak fixed in a rush and should have done my research about the price. Horrible and shady company! The owner Travis harassed and threatened me after leaving this review. He called me 11 times at 6am the next day and cussed me out using the "f" word about a dozen times before I hung up on him. So this all started when they came out to service my property on many occasions due to them "being in bed" with my landlords so to speak. Everytime they came they wouldn't be on time and I would have to wait around for them to show. They also even showed up on days when I told them I was not available. They always parked in my driveway blocking our cars in when there was ample street parking. (No one should park in anyone's driveway unless invited I feel) they left tools at my house on more than 2 occasions. The thing that makes me upset the most is they would never announce their arrival. The would come into my backyard without letting us know they were there and even looked inside our bedroom window while we were still in bed as they past by (our bedroom windows faces the backyard) Able to plumbing also accused me of stuffing stuff done the sewer intentionally to block the system. The said my wife would flush lots of tampons and paper towels which is not the case at all. My wife like any other woman is fully aware you cannot flush that down the toilet. Able to plumbing also never cleans up properly after a job and always leave a mess even asking me for towels and products to aid in cleaning up which is something they should have in their trucks. I reached out to Courtney the office manager to complain and she hung up on me after using several cuss words. I tried calling back and she cussed me out again. The next day the owner Travis called me 11 times cussing me out at 6am. I asked him to calm down to actually talk and he just kept cussing me out and threatening me. He said if I didnt remove my ripoff report and my yelp he was going to sue me. Now if Travis would of been calm and addressed my concerns maybe I would have but he was a hot head and lost his temper so here the review will stay. Feel free to respond Travis, if you can keep your cool which we both know you can't. Last but not least. The plumbers went thru my personal belongings and reported them back to my landlord on what I had in my yard and house. We've had a problem with a clogged kitchen sink. I tried to clear it to no avail. Travis came in at the time he scheduled with us, saw the problem, and fixed it immediately. He was very professional. I just want to share my first/ Last poor experience with all. It's a family runs a small business, but it is not a professional company. In Feb/2021 they charged me $89/hr. for the labor as regular rate, but they overcharged for the materials and provided a low-end obsoleted product for us, for example, they charged me totally $635 for replacing a new elongated toilet with TOTO brand, model number ST743ET was built on 11/25/2012 (please read the model number and the building date at inside of the toilet water tank on the photo), and hauled the old toilet away. In fact, I went to Home Depot on-line and checked the new toilet price, the plumber provided the new toilet model is obsoleted in Home Depot, the similar model is CST746CSM costs $286+tax, but the owner, Travin told me the new toilet was costed $500 each. It is not honest. Finally I am not happy with the owner, Travin because he worked with himself only and spent about 4 hours to complete the job with replaced 3 new toilets and hauled the old ones away. He charged me totally $ 1974 with the obsoleted model of the new toilets. In my opinion, you make your judgement on my unhappy experience. read more
