The first time I came here, it was great! The staff were so friendly, welcoming, and really took the time to ask me about my goals for the visit and the desired outcome. I was really excited to return. My second visit did not feel the same. I wasn't asked about how I felt about my last treatment, which I would've appreciated since it was still only my second time and since my previous adjustment was a bit off the mark. I did have to take the initiative to clarify a few things before my treatment but it still felt very rushed and a little cold. On top of that, at the end, the POS asks if you'd like to add a tip, which was a bit of a turn off considering it is a clinic, rather than a hair salon. I was hoping this would be my regular place but I'm not sure how excited I am to return after this most recent visit. read more

I liked About Face Kailua. The office was very nice, and the people were professional. What I was really turned off by is that when you pay with a credit card the machine asks you if you want to tip. I felt very uncomfortable about this. I do not feel like nurses and doctors should be asking or even accepting tip for a medical procedure. I have never been asked to tip on a any kind of procedure like this. I have know nurses who do this kind of work who are offended when their clients try to tip them. It is not a spa, it is a medical work place and the nurses and doctors are doing the jobs they went to school for. I would not expect my child's teacher to ask for a tip when I sign them out of school. This left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

I went to see Dr. Dale to correct my under eye circles that had been starting to bother me. At the consult she suggested before I start to use fillets in that area, we try lifting below in the nasolabial cheek area for longer lasting results. After our session we realized that I no longer needed filler in the under eye area. She truly is an artist! As I'm nearing 40, I have started to have more concern about loss of volume and how to treat it naturally and still look like myself. I'm so incredibly glad to have found Dr. Dale. All I can say is AMAZING! If the had 10 stars I would rate it higher!! I had a IPL appt with Jamy and she is so friendly (btw all the staff were so friendly!) she made me feel so comfortable! Results are AMAZING! I have a lot of freckles and she informed me results wouldn't be right away it'll take about maybe 2 weeks.. BUT day TWO my freckles darkened like it was suppose to and on day THREE it already started coming off!! I was so nervous to find a new med spa but after seeing Dr. Dale I can tell you I am not nervous about anything this doctor does. A great experience from the front office to the procedure. I was so well informed and everything was explained. I actually learned a lot in my visit and got Botox, which is why I came. I am considering other treatments, as I feel like you just can't go wrong here. You might be able to save a dollar or two a unit somewhere but honestly I wouldn't ever risk that. I'll buy my laundry detergent on sale but if someone is working on my face with needles, I want it to be Dr. Dale. I used a groupon to do an IPL photofacial, and loved the results! It was my first time so they made some recommendations about using the lowest power. I was dubious, but decided that I should follow their advice. Boy were they right! It was quite effective. Also, they were very patient and my answered a lot of my dads question (why did I bring him? I don't know it was just in the middle of the day we were running errands. I really recommend not bringing your dad, but 5 stars for this place. read more

Really lovely place that I luckily found through Groupon. Saw good reviews and decided to purchase the ipl special. Wish I had bought the microneedling special too before they sold out. Very easy to schedule via phone or even text. It's a far trek from town but fine on a weekend morning. Plenty of parking. Jamie did all my treatments and she was very thorough and professional. All the employees are RNs which made me feel good about it really being a medical spa. My freckles faded quite a bit after 3 treatments. I'm saving now to get microneedling but I'm scared about the pain. I was scared for the ipl too but actually it wasn't even bad. Even less than a rubber band snapping which is how they warned me it would hurt. I recommended the place to my friend and she really likes their skin care line which is good for sensitive skin and is organic. read more

They carry a really nicely priced line of sunscreens & im sure a million other cool products but the sunscreen is great I bought a tinted version for acne prone skin for $30 feels great on my skin.. they also do eyelash lift/tinting/lash botox which is awesome bc I hate makeup.. pricing for services is competitive & they have a lot of nice deals for repeat customers.. very generous :) Dr Dale looks half her age NO EXAGGERATION she could be my grandma and her eye area looks better than mine. After much internal debate, I purchased a Groupon for 3 IPL photo facials. I sent a text to schedule an appointment and received a prompt reply. The office was welcoming and I was greeted by Katie, who was performing the procedure. She was amazing. She had me fill out paperwork and then we went into the laser room. She began by checking my melanin levels. She explained what would be happening and what to expect. She used this amazing ice roller to roll each part of my face prior to the ipl. The scariest thing about the IPL was the brightness of the lights, even with my eyes covered. The IPL hurt a little, but I was expecting much worse. It felt like I got sunburned and felt that way for about two hours. The AC in my car was so helpful. A few hours after the procedure, the freckles on my face (I have lots of dark brown freckles) darkened. They continued to get darker for the next day. As the days continued, those darkened spots began to flake off. It's been almost 2 weeks and flaking has subsided. Most of my freckles are lighter while some are completely gone. I've had only one IPL treatment and it has made a huge difference! I would definitely recommend. Parking at this location can be a bit difficult, so try to arrive a little early. read more

Saw the groupon, read the yelp reviews, bought the groupon, and now... I'm a client! About Face was easy to book with on the phone. They send you texts as update reminders. Parking is super easy, and the office is VERY CLEAN. I was greeted by Jamy who was going to do my procedure.
