I waited a week to write this review because I needed to relax a bit first. I came here a week ago…read morefor a haircut. I haven't been to an actual salon for at least 15 years....this was a huge step for me as I like my hair a certain length. When I came in, my hair was just above my butt. I asked the girl to cut my hair to my shoulders, a big cut for hair that long. My back was kept to the mirror for the whole cut so I could have the "big reveal" when she was done. I forewarned her about my curly hair and I had exceedingly high hopes for the cut to make my curls more bouncy. When I was turned to the mirror, I was in quite a bit of a shock....my hair was a bob!!!! Well above my shoulders and basically to my ears!!! I replied with the usual "I love it" because I was just seriously shocked! I didn't want my hair that short, I specified my shoulders, not to my ears!!!! I repeatedly said shoulder length and my stylist got a little over zealous with the cut! The staff and patrons were very nice and I'm honestly not sure if she intentionally cut it way way WAY too short, or if it was an accident. I was just hurt that she didn't listen to me and now I am stuck with a too short haircut that I can't even put into a ponytail. I didn't think the place was bad per se, it was clean and they were nice people......but my experience was a huge let down, I am very disheartened and this is probably my last salon visit for at least another 15 years! I am stuck with this until it grows out, but I am so completely unhappy by this new do. I am placing two stars for the haircut and my stylist not listening to me and just doing what she wanted. The salon itself seemed nice and the other patrons seemed happy, I just think the stylists need to listen to their clients!

The stylist informed us she would need her hair bleached for the color to take. After sitting in the chair for approx. 4 hours her hair was several shades of orange, gold and tan. He then gave her the cut which he spent approx. 10 mins on. She has long pieces in several areas and it's choppy. He then put the color on and waited 25 mins. The color was not even close to what she wanted. It was intended to be a dark green, I have never seen such a shade of turquoise. We were told it would last 2 to 4 weeks. After one wash using Redken Extending Shampoo her hair was several shades of green and blue. All this for $300. I realize this is not an easy procedure, I was more upset by the lack of detail on the cut.

She did a special treatment so I could color my hair, and the owner Brenda gave it to me free. They are great people, and Emily always makes me look young and beautiful when I leave with my color and cuts. I have since moved and still drive over an hour to go to get my hair done at Heavenly Hair with Emily...... They are the best!!!

Amie took great care of me and my hair with a great cut and some layers and then a beautiful dark brown color with a burgundy tint, followed by a great styling. I absolutely love it and I will definitely be returning for touch ups and trims. This is a great little salon I highly recommend it. Everyone was nice and friendly you really can't go wrong with a visit here.
