I went here for a Gel Mani/Pedi for my upcoming vacation. The women working were very nice and the atmosphere was light with beautiful tropical scenery playing on the big TV. The reason for the 3 stars is the way my nails look for the ridiculously huge price. I paid $96.00 (before tip) and my nails absolutely do not look like they have gel polish. It is extremely thin and you can clearly see my nails through the polish. The girl who did my nails should have taken a bit more time to actually manicure my nails as they just don't look great. Again, she was very sweet and nice, but $96.00 for what I got is way way too expensive! I just feel like the price was way too high for the look of my nails. read more

Pretty sure any bad ratings here were from previous ownership years ago. My sister found this place and now my three sisters and mom all go here and love it! Lena and Glory are amazing. It's so hard for me to get dip and have it stay on for three weeks but no issue with Lena! Also got an amazing pedicure from Kim. POSITIVE: The ladies are nice. They have a large flat screen that they usually run YouTube videos of America's Got Talent type of entertainment, which is much better than salons who run nothing but the garbage news propaganda or sports. Lots of colors and styles, including mood polish and the magnetic cat's eye style. NEGATIVE: I occasionally got accidental but painful skin cuts and nicks. The quality of acrylic fill wasn't great in terms of longevity, they don't push down the cuticles to make sure it's filled right into the edges, and they technique they use overall isn't very effective as other places ex: I don't think they cure the gel long enough, or put enough layers of shiny top coat etc. I've been getting my nails done with acrylic for approx 10 yrs, but never had fungus grow under my nails until coming here recently (see pic) so, I will not come back. read more

I went to get a fill for Christmas. I picked out colors and asked for some silver/sparkle at the edge of the white color, which they would not do. The next day, one of my nails began to crack and lift. It hasn't even been a week since I got my fill and today my nail broke off, nice and low. It was so weak that I honestly didn't feel it break (thankfully). Tonight, another one. Won't be going back here. read more

This place is great, with the lowest prices around! The first time that I went to D&D nail salon I got a great manicure. I believe that it was the owner (older woman) who did my nails. She did a great job. However, the second time that I went there, someone else did my nails and she did not do a good job. She was rough and not very friendly, used cold water, and seemed to want to get rid of me ASAP. My nails chipped the very next day! The next time I go there I know now who to request do my nails! Wanted to treat myself and got a spa pedicure. I left there so relaxed! The lady I had (didn't catch her name) did a fantastic job with my toenails and polish, but the massage she gave my legs was the best part! If you want to be pampered for an hour, this is the thing to do for yourself! The only thing is my heels didn't come out quite smooth, but they had been extremely cracked and dry since I hadn't had a pedicure in literally years. I have nothing, but good things to say about D &D nails. The girls are friendly and respectful. My daughter and I went there for pedicures. They did a fantastic job seeming to truly care about the work they were doing and wanted to satisfy their customers. I was so impressed with the quality of the service and the respectfulness of the nail technicians, as well as the clean, comfortable atmosphere, that I will be recommending this nail salon to all my friends. I went to D and D nails many many years ago. I finally left there. Recently I found out that D and D has a new owner. I went back there.. WOW the owner Lori did a WONDERFUL job on my toenails and on on my fingernails. My toenails are NOT easy. I am so happy that I found her !!! Because of the virus, her business has been very slow. I have been going to D&D for a few years. I always loved my nails. However, they recently went under new management and have a new staff. I decided a few times to give each of the new techs a shot. Well, the first lady, i got a full acrylic set with gel polish, and she absolutely butchered my nail beds, she did a hack job on the acrylics. My nails came out so think, uneven, and very bumpy. I had to go elsewhere to have them fixed. The second time, a guy did my nails. I asked for stiletto nails with a pretty simple design for Halloween. Again, my nails came out horrendous! Went elsewhere to have them fixed. By now I should have just stayed away, but 3rd times a charm, right? Well went in today and had the owners wife. And once more my nails/beds are butchered. Slanted tips, uneven lengths, lopsided shaping, bumpy and uneven surface, cuticles cut up, I got what was supposed to be similar to a french manicure, yeah didn't happen. Going elsewhere to get them fixed and this time, I will never go back there again. They did the same hack job to my friends nails as well. I do not and will not ever recommend this place ever again!! read more

I can't get over how bad my nails look! I have never had a gel manicure that looks bad but this is awful. I wanted to cry on my way home looking at these! It looks like they just dropped gel onto my nails. There are huge globs at the end of my nails and they got it all over my skin! I went for a manicure a couple days ago. I chose a hot pink color that said "with hardeners" on it and asked the woman doing my nails what that meant. She had no idea and none of the other girls she asked knew either. I said thats ok i would still try it and when i agreed to get a pedicure too she got up from the manicure station and filled the pedicure bath and asked me to come over and put my feet in. I then assumed she wanted to just paint my finger nails after she did my feet for whatever reason so i went along with this. She surprised me by starting to paint my nails holding my hand while i sat in the pedicure chair and her on a stool in front of the pedicure bath. I don't like to complain and as much as i thought this was unprofessional i didn't say anything. After the first coat i could tell the "with hardeners" nail polish was starting to peel and would not last more than a day for me so i reluctantly told her i would give up my pedicure paint job to have her paint my nails again with a different color and i would still pay for both because i had to work and was running out of time. She talked in Vietnamese to a young girl working there and then told me "i will paint your nails she will paint your toes ok"? i said "oh ok thank you sorry im just running out of time i didn't know the nail polish would come out this way, it is peeling." She was nice about it and said no problem then another woman walked in and wanted a pedicure and the girl who was supposed to paint my toes sat her down for a pedicure and ignored me as if she hadnt agreed to paint my toes. (There was another woman working there who was currently doing nothing) I was pretty annoyed at this point just wanted to get out of there so when the original woman AGAIN started to try to paint my finger nails at the pedicure chair i said "Can you sit me at a manicure station please?" She said ok and then painted my nails at a station with a different color and they came out pretty well. She said to me "Come by any day next week and we will paint your toes no charge ok?" I said ok thank you. I went back today and the woman did not remember me and i explained to her she told me she would paint my toes since i paid for both (and tipped her 20% might i add). She spoke in Vietnamese to the young girl doing a pedicure and the girl said something back to her then looked me up and down and said rudely "if you got toes done that day we not charge you but today we charge you ok?" I was so blown aback by this i was speechless for a few seconds then I said "umm no thats not ok. I was told i could have my toes painted since i paid for it. That woman told me any day this week i could come in." The other woman must have saw my frustration because she cut into the conversation and said "OK pick a color honey i do for you." The young girl looked away with disgust and at this point i wanted nothing to do with any of them because i myself was disgusted with the unprofessional atmosphere and the attitude of the young girl who had the nerve to ask me to pay to get my toes painted. I said no thanks thats ok! and walked out of there laughing and in shock with my toes not painted. I WILL NEVER go back to this little hole in the wall salon, not because it is a hole in the wall but because of the unprofessional staff and the way i was treated. read more
