Been a big fan of this company and have used them for many services b/c of the initial great job they did with a skunk issue, but the business management/office management has become a major issue and the overall service has declined. They cannot keep up with details, especially in scheduling and billing. Everyone is nice enough, but this is NOT a professional, well-oiled machine that gives customer confidence anymore. I believe they have hired a new office manager that can hopefully turn it around, but it was a little too late for me, and I'm sharing this info so that hopefully they can get back to being a good company. I am still getting calls for a "scheduled" specialized lawn service treatment that I haven't had with them in years, which I dropped b/c it was originally quoted as part of a full flat fee 1 yr overall treatment plan, only to have them tell me many MONTHS later that they had to bill me separately for it as it was listed incorrect on the treatment quote (contract) that I had already paid! I actually dropped them for lawn service entirely last year (and was called again this year about having an appointment); while they were treating my yard, it actually got worse, and I brought it to their attention multiple times, and was given various other reasons as being the issue like - when I water, or how I was cutting it on time of day, height, etc. After a few years of this, I decided I had to try someone else. Once I switched to a different company, doing same as I always have with watering and cutting, my lawn was considerably better in a few weeks and has continued to be better than when they treated it. They also sprayed my flowerbed and burned all my flowerbed plants but tried to tell me it was water issues, though I saw the guy spraying my flower bed, and prior to him, i had never had that issue, nor did I have that issue this year with the new company I am using. Their pest service is reasonably priced, and unlike Terminix that had to come back multiple times in a quarter for lack of effectiveness, their quarterly treatments do seem to hold up. Only problem here has been with the scheduling/rescheduling and communication of appointments which is important to me b/c I have to be home for them to treat in house fully, and it has been a huge hassle getting appointments set and followed up on in timely manner. Even had an appointment, saw the tech pull up, but then they drove off and nothing was said. I called 30 minutes later to find out what was going on, to be told they had something come up and couldn't make the appointment, and I had to ask why they didn't call me to tell me that and it was a vague response that was clear it never crossed their mind. And then I they didn't get me rescheduled for almost a MONTH later, that I had to keep calling them to ask about. So maybe regular service treatment plans just isn't their thing and one-off projects are it. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This is not a professional company. We called them for raccoons that were in our chimney. Someone came out and all he did was put a rope down the chimney and a strobe light in the chimney. He said that would "lure them out." Then let us know he would be back in 5-7 days to put a cap on the chimney. After 3 days the tech came back and said the raccoons were gone and put the cap on the chimney. This happened when we were not home! However a few weeks later it started smelling like dead animal in our house. Then I (yes me) got back on the roof and put a camera (a goPro) down the chimney and notice something was in it. We called the company to let them know but they didn't answer. We couldn't deal with the smell so we decided to try to clean it out ourselves. After a full day of cleaning out the chimney and another full day of cleaning the house and disinfecting the house we were able to get 2 dead baby raccoons out of the chimney that were COVERED in maggots (hundreds of maggots). It was a very stressful experience and now the company still wants us to pay them the $250, when they didn't remove the raccoons and in fact trapped two raccoons in the chimney and killed them!! The manager wasn't willing to work with us and is very unprofessional. In short, Above and Beyond is an unprofessional company that does not take pride in their own work or customer satisfaction. They won't return your phone calls after multiple messages. They should have the proper equipment to check to confirm the animal isn't in the chimney. For those who have a raccoon in your chimney there are other companies that can actually physically relocate them or there are many other ways to lure them out yourself. Good luck!! read more

I called multiple times and left messages before I got a call back to schedule an appointment for sprinkler repairs. Day of they cancelled. I had to call back again multiple times before I got a return call. They finally came out and made the repairs and the guy seemed real nice. Unfortunately he seemed in a big hurry and didn't fix an issue with pressure in 2 zones. I called again multiple times to schedule the additional repair and I never got a return call. Horrible, horrible, horrible experience! Never again. read more

We have used this company for the past two years, but no more. The services have been fine and the techs knowledgeable and friendly. But.. on multiple occasions we have paid them and while our checks are quickly cashed, they are not applied to our account. Time and again they threaten collections action, and we have to prove they cashed the check! Accounts receivable is a disaster and not worth our frustration. read more

First time service went well, but the automatic return and charge of service while I was out of town was not what I wanted. When I called to get refund, they did offer me my money back, but then harassed me about when I could be available to pick up the rodent traps. Avery tried to be helpful but Brandon was not very customer service oriented. Sorry to say that I was considering other services, but just could not deal with rodent trap pick ups at the moment due to work. I'm open to hearing back from the company if they would be more understanding of schedules and made a greater attempt to make customer a priority. read more

Excellent company! Excelllent customer service. Owner, Jeff, is extremely knowledgeable, honest and ethical. He advised me not to do the extensive & expensive treatment program that had been recommended by other companies. He did a single treatment which totally eliminated the aphids. We also discussed treatment for Emerald Ash Borer (insects) as a preventive for my large ash tree. Other companies had said that it needed to be treated immediately and several times after that. Jeff said to wait until Spring & only one treatment. His prices are way below all of the companies that had bid on my problems. I'm going to call & schedule the Emerald Ash Borer treatment now. This company is a very nice honest family business. I am blind and used them before for cockroaches. I live in a town house and had very dirty neighbors who thank god have since moved away. I thought I had hives because I kept getting bumps on my arms and back. The doctor didn't know what the bumps were so I called Jeff for a peace of mind bed bug inspection. He told me everything he was doing. And when he took the mattress off the bed he said yep yep yep. I felt sick so he talked to me and told me that he has treated bed bugs many many times and not to worry. So he set to work and came back for a follow up and now they are all gone. I have been dealing with skunks at my house for 2 years now. I used another company (A ALL) last year, and they trapped 7 skunks. They then offered to seal up the hole where it dug for $95/square foot! What!? I opted to only do the minimum, and seal the hole where the skunk dug. Well, a few short months later, the skunks returned, and dug next to where the hole had been sealed. I hired A All again, and this time they could not catch any skunks, but continued to charge me a fee every 5 days to re-bait the traps ($95!!!) So, $700 later, and no skunks caught, in addition to a very rude technician...I fired them. I tried every home-remedy I could, to no avail. So, a few months later, I hired Above and Beyond Services. The technician that came out was very courteous, friendly and professional. They do not charge a weekly fee. My skunks are gone, and they did a great job sealing up my deck...for a fraction of the price of the other service. I will definitely recommend them! read more
