Additional hourly/material rates for extra repairs listed so we had no surprises. No high pressure sales tactics. Very tidy Cleaned up at the end of each day with a magnet and blower so our dog could go into the back yard. Only opened up the section of roof that could be worked on that day, then made sure that the membrane covered the roof so the rain could not get in. Repaired multiple issues with our roof, plus added flashing which the previous roofers had skipped. Kept us informed of the running total (we had a multiple building project.) When a gutter was damaged by the delivery truck, Gruwell took charge and hired a gutter repair/replacement company at their own expense. Removed every last speck of debris. Highly recommend these folks.

BEWARE! I'm an…read moreelderly, small scale landlord and my only income is from my 3 rental properties. in nov '24 I hired canterberry to investigate a moisture problem my handyman had discovered in the attic of one of my rental homes. while there, they stepped on & broke a water line and flooding ensued. after they managed to stop the flooding and had taken up as much of the water as they could, they showed zero consideration or empathy for my tenants, who were understandably freaking out. instead they stonewalled, claiming that there had been no water damage (because they "had managed to take up all the spilled water"). they refused to call their insurance company to have them come and assess the damage and let me know in no uncertain terms that would fight any damage claims in court. my tenants had to take time off from work, cancel their x-mas holiday plans and move out of their home temporarily while the repairs were being performed. since canterberry was still stonewalling, I filed a complaint in small claims court. in response to the court summons they requested a jury trial (which my attorney explained to me is a "standard power move" because it ups the ante - lawyers now get involved and legal fees will easily eclipse the original damages; it is often used to intimidate the plaintiff) so my attorney filed a 'regular' complaint (suit), which we sent to canterberry and their insurance company as well. rather than going to trial, their insurance company settled for damages and some attorney's fees ($12,800 altogether), but in the end I'm still out about $5,000 in legal fees which I won't be able to recoup, so BEWARE!
