Wow what a great company/guy!!! (Abra Kadabra) Steve was here almost an hour and a half. He found EXACTLY where the mice are getting in and sealed it up AND EVEN treated the backyard/firepit/grill/patio area for ants AND Sprayed the trees, bushes, shrubs for mosquitoes He also gave me ideas to eliminate them being bad at night!!! I love that he sprayed for Mosquitoes and will double that down again in July!!!!! That's something they just do for their customers. Steve also got underneath the front of our house where it juts out and made sure there were no openings under there. He laid on his back to do so. This is a review for business practices not any service provided. Called with an inquiry about Bat removal service. The person who answered the phone confirmed my email and my home address immediately before discussing any service. Not sure why this needed to occur. A brief discussion regarding potential service and then they asked for my credit card information. You already know so much about me and now you want my payment information even though you've told me there will be no charge until the visit occurs. Reading previous reviews about unsolicited charges, payment plans and service charges, I am unwilling to give this information over the phone. When I expressed my concern, he responded, " Don't worry you can trust me". You already paid to collect too much of my information without my knowledge. Why would I trust you? read more

When I heard weird noises in my unfinished attic in winter (January 2024), I thought I had squirrels - AbraKadabra was the only local pest control service I could find who would go in the unfinished attic - they found it was mice. I had a great experience with Avery, my account manager. Ike, the technician was fantastic and came a few times last spring & summer (2024), even finding possible access points. But, after Ike and Avery left the company, the service when down. After several communications, with me having to explain so many times, it was determined they could "no longer" supply me with that "service"; there seems to be a lot of their good people leaving, and they are no longer able to provide good customer service. I canceled their service, even though the mice still find their way into the attic. Unfortunately, I can no longer rate this company as high as I would have last year. I hope they find their groove again and build their customer service to the previous high standards. read more

I called this Abra Kadabra about having someone come out to see what was making noise in my attic. On the phone they told me that this would be free if I signed up for their monthly bug treatments, which I said wasn't really interested in as I had another company do this in the past and it didn't work out. Long story short, they have charged me almost $900 for a service I never signed up for. I called them to get this credited back to me and they credited me $436. When I called again, they acted like this was my fault. How can you charge someone for a service that they did not sign up for! DO NO USE THIS COMPANY. read more

Pathetic customer service. Had them out two or three times. They fixed some brick work that needed to be done. Great job. No issues. After that I still had rodents getting in. Called three or four times. Each time I was told they would call me back. This was spring 2023. FINALLY just got a call (Dec 6, 2023) because I replied to one of their promo emails. Zero solutions. It wasn't the tech that called. My expectations are realistic. Just call me back when you say you will after three or four calls. NOTHING. VERY SAD WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS. I give up. read more

SCAMMERS!! We reached out to Agra Kadabra regarding a possible bat in our attic. We scheduled an appointment to have one of their technicians come out to assess any potential entry points which they said would be around $180-no one showed up. I called to find out where the technician was, they told me they wouldn't be able to make it until the following day. I arranged for someone to be at my home to let them in, since my husband and I were not able to stay home another day from work. It seemed the person that came out did a good job with $180 assessment. The family member that I had arranged to let them in put the $180 on their credit card. I received an overview via email with a $3000 estimate. It seemed high, so we opted to go another route. I then received an email saying that they received my deposit of $1500 and scheduled an appointment, none of which we agreed to. My family member's card was charged AND Abra Cadabra signed us up for a monthly reoccurring $30 payment on my family member's card to do "maintenance"!! I called the office immediately when we found this out and was told that a manager would need to call me back in order to cancel this and would do so within 48-72 hrs. Surprise-no call! I called and emailed and finally got in touch with a manager-Micah. Not only was he immediately dismissive and rude-he told me that I could cancel the service I never agreed to, but they would still charge me 40% AND a $95 "restocking" fee. I asked if there was someone else I could speak to, since he didn't seem to be understanding the situation, he told me no and that he would look into it further and get back to me. Surprise again-he never called me back or returned my email. As a small business owner myself, I can tell you that I can't imagine trying to scam my customers into payments they weren't aware of and didn't agree to. THAT IS FRAUD. read more

After paying monthly for treatment they suddenly decided that they were unable to treat my entire lawn. I called and was told I would be "grandfathered" in because they had been treating my whole yard for years. The next time they came out I was told it was now illegal to treat my whole lawn. Interesting that they waited to collect another monthly payment before telling me that. Very disappointed. read more

These guys are great! Always easy to schedule, always on time and they get rid of those pesky critters. We had centipedes in the basement even with our dehumidifier. Matt was exteremtly efficient and made a few different visits for multiple applications. I rarely, if ever see centipedes now and if I do they're already dead. It's been 2 years since Abra Kadabra charged me $1000 to remove and "permanently" exclude squirrels from my house. Well, they're back! I just got off the phone with Andy from their company who condescendingly explained that I need to expect to repeat the extermination process every couple of years because of the age of my home and because my Minneapolis neighborhood has far more squirrels than the rest of Minneapolis. Hilarious! My house was gutted and rebuilt in 2014, including new siding, soffits, fascia, vents and an entirely new roof. The squirrels are getting in through the soffit. It has NOTHING to do with the age of my home. So, I hope you enjoy working with the Abra Kadabra boys because they'll be back every couple of years to collect that $1000 check! read more

After a stomach-churning 2 week customer non-service nightmare with Terminix I CANCELLED the service I had scheduled with them (Oh, left out that they charged my credit card WHEN IT SAYS RIGHT ON THE CONTRACT IT IS TO BE DONE UPON COMPLETION OF SERVICE), & felt instantly better after my first conversation with Abra Kadabra. They called me back promptly. We had them come out for spiders and rodents in the attic. They were very nice and diligent with spraying everywhere for spiders. I was told it was a bat problem from the description of the noises and timing. He was very knowledgable. I will have him come out again when other problems arise. read more
