I had a good experience in the office & felt like they took me seriously & gave me a thorough exam. They confirmed nothing was wrong - and it was dry eye giving me the blurred vision. I left & continued the drops & night gel & still nothing works And i continue to have severely blurred vision. 2 more months & I couldn't stand it & looked for a third opinion & made an appointment with Wills Eye 2000 Hamilton Street in Philadelphia. I saw a Dr. Harris - who within 5 minutes into examining me said - you have mild dry eye - which absolutely is not the cause of your problem. An hour later after many tests I was properly diagnosed with posterior capsule opacification (PCO) & am scheduled for a YAG laser capsulotomy next week. It's a quick outpatient procedure for a fairly common problem that should restore my vision. Thank you 2000 Hamilton Wills Eye. Penn Eye Media - you had a big miss here.

I already told him to put it down... and the older lady at the front desk said some rude comments. Lady, I told my son to take his foot down. Just chill out. Then, he went to the bathroom.... and she went after he came out. She made some snarky remarks again. Geese... lady... I subtracted two stars because of the staff. The doc is good, very thorough. I did my exam and was given two weeks to try a new kind of contact lens, which did much better job to keep moisture. I went back and asked for some adjustment on my prescription and then I was given another two weeks to try that before I decided to buy. They didn't force me to order anything from them but I wanted to. I traveled a lot recently. Before my order arrived, they gave me some contact lens so I could use them for my trips. Today my order arrived but I couldn't get it as I came home late and their office will be closed this weekend. I'm flying out this weekend so I ask for help. They were so nice and were willing to drop the box on my patio. When I came home, saw my contact lens box sitting on my patio and a line of footprints in the deep snow, I decided to write this review to express my appreciation. I did see several different Drs for Narrow Angle Glaucoma, Endophthalmitis, Retina issues, Uveitis, Scleritis, RoP, Macular Degeneration, etc. I followed my last Retina Dr. to her new system. The wait time at all eye Drs is long. I have never had an extreme wait time. My sadness was the repeated turnover in Drs for my retina and uveitis conditions. The front desk in Springfield could use some customer service training.

Wednesday - May 8, 2013 - 9:00 AM…read more It's had been three years since my last examination. My insurance company listed several optometrists/ophthalmologists in my area. I selected Jahnle because of convenient location, free parking, and yes, examination, and eyeglasses. Stacks of eyeglasses in different colors and styles were neatly positioned ahead as I entered the office. The office was eye-pleasing, properly lit, and well-appointed. The staff was professional and courteous. An assistant promptly completed a questionnaire as I provided answers about my health status. She applied drops for the standard Glaucoma and retinal examinations. The tests were conducted quickly and comfortably. Best yet, no sign of vision deterioration and no need for replacement glasses. The examining physician, Dr. Mekel, indicated that I would not need another exam for two years. Although glasses could be ordered here, he provided a prescription in the event I wished glasses manufactured elsewhere. A pleasant experience!

I have been going to this facility for a while now and most of the time am blessed with having her as my nurse. Lacye always goes above and beyond, she is very soft-spoken, gentle and is so good at explaining things in simple ways for you to understand. I had an issue yesterday and I called the office; she returned my call and was able to address my concerns in a calm reassuring and professional manner.
