5/15/26 Came to the office as a walk-in for a pre employment physical. First- the office is beautiful. Second- all three front office staff are very professional, friendly and welcoming. Third- the assistant who helped me through the process was very good and very skillful with the blood draw. And lastly, Dr. Ishaaya was great. I saw Dr. Ishaaya twice after a CT scan ordered by another physician showed atelectasis in my lungs and I was referred to pulmonology for further evaluation. At my first appointment, Dr. Ishaaya did an initial evaluation and explained that I would need additional testing. We scheduled a follow-up appointment that was supposed to be the more extensive visit where I would complete multiple tests and get a better understanding of what was going on. When I called the office beforehand, I specifically asked how long the appointment would take and was told approximately two hours because of the number of tests that would be performed. After going through the scheduling process and insurance approvals, I arrived for my second appointment expecting that evaluation. Instead, I completed one allergy test and two breathing tests. Then I was asked whether I had already completed the more detailed CT scan. I explained that I had not because I understood that the testing and evaluation were what I was coming in for that day. I was then told I would need to schedule that separately. I left after about 50 minutes with no answers. My previous CT results, which I had brought in, were not reviewed or discussed in any meaningful way. My atelectasis was never addressed, and I did not receive any explanation of what it could mean or what the next steps should be. The appointment ended with me being asked whether I wanted a prescription for a histamine medication or paperwork to go get the scan. After two visits with a pulmonologist, I expected a clearer understanding of my condition and a plan moving forward. Instead, I left feeling like I had spent significant time, gone through unnecessary scheduling steps, and paid a copay without receiving the evaluation or guidance I was seeking. The communication from the office about what would actually happen during the appointment was also very unclear. read more

Dr. Ishaaya himself is great but there's something off about the way the practice is run. The staff is very confrontational, not helpful, and difficult to try to get access to medical records. I would advise to go elsewhere to avoid the headache you'll receive dealing with this office read more

I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Ishaaya. He's been my primary doctor for 2 years. He was my mother's doctor for 9 years and I had a lot of contact with him during this time. He responded to my calls late at night, visited my mother in a convalescent home on a Sunday... He's a great listener, easy to contact, conscientious, and isn't arrogant. My follow up visit was outstanding. The receptionist Dez is extraordinary working with clients and so professional making sure the appointments are made her follow up has been a wonderful experience, reminding me about my appointment overnight studies for the sleep apnea staying overnight. The rooms are beautiful clean along with Mr. Carlos who is extremely great and making sure all your needs are met. He has extremely amazing staff at the location. Dr. Quack had no desire to listen to me or review the medical records I brought to my appointment to prove my disabilities. It's obvious he doesn't want to upset his gravy train (ACCESS) so he just washed me out which if any sane person reviewed the hundreds of medical records and reports they would've easily backed my disability. Tuesday April 4 th 2023 I have been coming here since 2020 when I relocated back to Los Angeles. My asthma changed not for the better after relocating. Dr. Abraham Ishaaya, provides on-site testing and imaging with same or next-day results, and he can diagnose and treat conditions without delay for the lungs, heart, hormones, micronutrient deficiencies, allergies, sleep apnea, and more. Everything is in office , labs downstairs. Parking is in a parking structure I always pay 8.00 , nice , clean , secure If I could personally rate this entire office A 10 i'd do so. Let me say , who has ever been to an appointment wrong time day possibly? Well I showed up to a busy off at 11:30 am , a day early lol. However, I was kindly asked to sit down. I was assisted within 10 minutes. The receptionist said my doctor would see me. Bonus. Observing waiting patiently, busy office, huge team that plays as a team player. When was the last time you spoke to those tending to you. I had my mother in law with me who has Dementia. Blanca was so kind to offer her water and conversation. I was referred to Dr. Ishaaya by my insurance, as I was looking for a doctor that specialized in sleep medicine, which he claims to do. My GP had already referred me for a sleepy study at a clinic, which I had already completed, and I was looking for help as the sleep study ruled out sleep apnea (a condition that is prominent in my family history). When Dr. Ishaaya came into the room, he stayed across the room from me and opened his laptop. During the 10 mins (if that) he was in the room with me he never even came over to me to examine me. He looked at the results of the sleep study and told me what I already knew -- that I didn't have sleep apnea. When I explained that despite this my sleep was horrible for many years (waking up several times a night, exhausted during the day) he then attempted to placate me by telling that despite this, I was doing much better than most people are when it comes to sleep. I explained that this was not reassuring as I feel awful and sleep like trash and wake up 3-4x a night. He then suggested I could take supplements he sells, which I declined. He suggested magnesium which I told him I already take. When I asked if there was any lab work he could do for me to make sure there are no hormonal issues and things like that, he said no (which I found bizarre and untrue, after my own research). When I expressed my frustration he said he wished there was more he could do or say. That was it. Nothing more. A complete waste of time with a "sleep specialist". And now, I just got an invoice from him for $222.93 (total bill was $500 before insurance) for him doing and offering nothing. Just a terrible experience and waste of time, and money. read more

This office scams patients out of money. They run tests on patience and sends a bill 7 months later saying that money is owed. They don't tell patients that exams are not covered and will just make up random numbers for things. The care quality is not that best as you come with genuine concern to be told you are okay and if something comes up then come back. read more

Okay, so I went in to get tested for COVID-19. I told them that I have a high deductible for my insurance, and I would rather pay cash. They still insisted on checking my insurance to see if it was covered. Then the receptionist said," you were right; your insurance doesn't cover anything." Therefore I hand her $60 in cash. After two weeks, I received a bill from them for $73.77. I gave them a call, and they said I need to call another department because they do not handle billing. When I called that number, the lady told me to contact my insurance company. So I contacted my insurance company and they said I need to contact the doctor's office. So I contacted them again and they placed me on hold for 49 minutes and hung up on me. This place is so unprofessional! Why charge my insurance $400 for the COVID test? I told them I want to pay cash. So I ended up paying $60+73.77=$133.33 for a COVID test. read more

I recently had some issues with previous doctors so I was a bit hesitant and was not expecting much when arriving. The front desk, initial practitioner who checks vitals all the way to discussing my issues with Dr. Ishaaya.... Was a breath of fresh air. The " team" but truly Dr. Ishaaya went over and beyond in actually listening to my concerns, walking through it step by step with in depth explanations of my options and then even calling me with the results the day of my crucial exams. The amount of relief I've received and customer care from Dr.Ishaaya deserves to be recognized bc I have truly had some terrible experiences in the past and here I def felt safe and supported. Details: For my appointment, a physician's assistant came in first to understand why I scheduled an appointment and order any tests I needed. Someone then came in to administer a pulmonary breathing test. Dr. Avi then came in to discuss the results and how to move forward. The entire process went very quickly and there was very little 'wait time'. Both the PA and Dr. Avi listened to me well and offered reasonable solutions. He gave me natural medication and prescribed something stronger, as well, to see if either of those could help me recover when my breathing issue was particularly severe. He also said that he was available over text message so that I can avoid unnecessary trips to the office, which both take time and money. I really appreciated this. After the appointment, I texted him with questions about using the medication and also about a referral for a breathing coach. He responded to both over text. So convenient! read more

Leaving this review after someone asked recently for a referral to a doctor. I've been going here for about 8 years and have always had a good experience. Over the last year both my husband and I had some serious health issues. My husband was hospitalized at cedars and while Dr. Ishaaya doesn't even perform surgeries there, upon hearing of my husband being hospitalized, stopped by to visit him! Melissa the nurse practitioner there is absolutely phenomenal! She genuinely cares about her patients and went above and beyond with my husband's care. Beware of this zero star doctor. He misdiagnosed my friend 10-years ago. Last year, my friend was given a correct diagnosis by a highly recognized expert in the field at UCLA. He explained that Dr Ishaaya did not do a thorough assessment. As a result of Dr Ishaaya's misdiagnosis, my friend was prescribed dangerous & unnecessary medications that contributed to subsequent, so far, irreversible health problems. My friend had been reporting classic, negative side effects from the medications; yet, Dr Ishaaya failed to recognize them. IMO, Dr Ishaaya deserves to be sued for medical malpractice; however, maybe this review is a start. read more

I left a review on their other Google page, I had an excellent experience with everyone here, from the staff to the nurses and the Dr's themselves. Everything went pretty smoothly. I waited in between seeing everyone for a little longer than I wanted, but they were all apologetic about it and it doesn't seem like it's something they just always do. If this doctor tells you you need any kind of biopsy (which involves a general anaesthetic and gets him surgery fees), tell him you'd prefer to go to Quest and spit in a cup. I made an 8-page complaint to the Medical Board about this doctor. If you've had a bad experience you should do the same. Someone who read my 2017 review just messaged me. He's still performing unneeded surgery. If you read his reviews it will be obvious that he has paid for some of them. A couple of days after I posted my 2017 review, he sent me a bill. read more

The kind of place you want to be when you are sick. I was amazed when they assist on the transportation of their patients. They call and make it happen. On my other test that is needed, they call if I Have any issues at all and everything ok like when I went to CEDAR SINAI for my SNIFF TEST and CT SCAN ASH call them and me. The follow up is unreal you know. 1st time I went to an office that everybody treats you like their own relative. I highly recommend them.
