My prior claim that my insurance was billed fraudulently was incorrect, but I stand by my decision to make that statement publicly because I came to that conclusion based on clear evidence within documents provided to me by the office, which they REPEATEDLY failed to address. That evidence was the result of a clerical error in the billing department. After weeks of correspondence with Dr. Yasharpour and her office, during which I was met with extreme dismissal and disregard to the point where I was certain they were trying to distract me from fraudulent practices, my concern was finally taken seriously, but only after I exposed the mistreatment here on yelp. I don't place full responsibility on Dr. Yasharpour as the poor communication came from the billing department as well, as did the clerical error, but I feel that both parties would certainly benefit from a significant change to how they handle patient concerns. The entire situation amounted to an error combined with an exorbitantly high rate for a service (more than 3x what is considered typical), but I have truly never felt more manipulated and disregarded, when I only ever wanted to understand what I was being charged. I hope this office learns from my experience and will strive to do a better job communicating with their patients and helping them to understand the bills they've received. read more

Dr Yasharpour was literally the answer to my prayers that I have been praying for when my skin decided to suddenly stop healing about 6 months ago. I have been to countless dermatologist, allergy specialist, and even 3 different wound doctors and not one tried to figure it out....Dr Yasharpour is the FIRST to order any test and seemed like she is up for the challenge! This was the first time I've left the doctor in a feeling hopefully that I have an advocate on my side. She is super knowledgeable and I wish that I would have gone to her sooner because I bet my face would be healed by now. I was left waiting for over an hour when i originally had the appointment. over a year later, i am still receiving notices from them over a billing department issue on their end (they were sending bills to an old address that i did not provide them with). their billing department and in office staff are terrible. michelle herself seems knowledgeable but i will never be back after the complete chaos that was the aftermath of my single appointment with them. read more

Dr. Michelle is a fine doctor - quick and basic allergy testing and then provided a nice service in sourcing RX from best priced pharmacies. That portion of the experience was good. But months after my visit I was billed just under $500. Called and spoke with the office and they acknowledged it was an odd charge and should not have been made. They said they would clear it up and get back but 4 months later and 5 more calls in - Nothing. Have also sent in 5x emails that have not been replied to. This is very poor customer service - I would avoid using this office - which is unfortunate because as I said Dr Michelle and her medical team are good - but the customer service is unacceptable. read more

Dr. Yasharpour is absolutely AMAZING! I came to her last year for allergies. Before becoming her patient, I had been getting allergy shots for 12 years and my previous allergist told me that I would have to keep it up for my ENTIRE LIFE. Within less than a year of seeing Dr. Yasharpour, I am completely off the allergy shots and will likely never have to do them again! I never expected to get to this point. My symptoms are so much more controlled now and my life can return to a sense of normalcy. I'm incredibly grateful for Dr. Yasharpour and her genuine interest in helping me. I am so grateful I have been referred to Dr. Yasharpour two years ago. My son had breathing issues since he was 3 years old. He has been treated by different Allergists and Pulmonologist for the past 7 years and has been on different breathing treatments ever since, without seeing any improvements until two years ago when he was first visited by Dr. Yasharpour. Dr. Yasharpour looks young but don't let that deceive you. I originally went to her because she was the closest allergist that was covered by my insurance but left very satisfied. She took a look at my case history, took the time to listen to my questions and concerns and discussed with me my options regarding the referral from my primary care provider. Afterwards, outlined what allergans to avoid and ways to treat them. Allergy tests were run quickly and follow up care had me in and out in about an hour. Which was amazing considering my appointment was at 11:30 am and she saw me at 11:35 am, something that is totally new to me when seeing a specialist since i normally have to wait around for like an hour. I took my 1 year old daughter to Dr. Yasharpour to evaluate an atypical rash she has had for 4 months. We had previously been seen by 5 different doctors with unsatisfactory work up and answers. She listened intently, asked salient questions that no one had asked before, and suggested a couple additional noninvasive workup options. She reached out to her other colleagues in pediatric dermatology on her own - and likely after hours - to collect more information, and then contacted me to follow up. However, what perhaps impressed me most was her honest and straightforward answers. She said she wasn't 100% sure of the diagnosis at this time, but could give me genuine reassurance that it was not dangerous or something to be concerned about. She is smart and seasoned enough to recognize subtle clinical clues and confident enough to say when a diagnosis is not obvious yet. Dr. Yarsharpour is one of the most empathic and conscientious physicians I have ever met which speaks volumes because I am surrounded by physicians at work. As my allergies continued to worsen, truly becoming the bane of my existence, I sought professional help and luckily landed in the hands of Dr. Yarsharpour. I was managing my allergies with zyrtec, allegra, decongestants, benedryl, irrigation, nasal sprays, etc. yet I would still get horrific symptoms causing me to leave work or even call in sick! Dr. Yarsharpour convinced me to undergo allergy shots and since then my life has changed. I am now only on a nasal steroid spray and no longer feel the mental cloudiness from my allergies or all the medications I previously had to take for symptomatic relief. I have been a seasonal/ environmental allergy sufferer my entire life. I'm currently 44. I've tried everything the market has come up with. Everything. It all "worked" for short periods of time, but nothing lasted. I just gave up and decided that this was my lot in life, and I would love in fear and misery every spring and fall, and every time I went near a tree or grass. The straw that broke the camel's back was two very bad reactions to mosquito bites that landed me in the er twice in a month. I decided that was not acceptable. She told me I wasn't being a psycho about my mosquito bites, and with the introduction of the allergy shot, and a zyzal at night, I am, finally, not wanting to jump off a building this spring for the first time in decades. I wanted to write a review of Dr. Yasharpour because she really stands out among doctors. My son saw her a few weeks ago and she was very kind and sweet and patient with him and prescribed a couple of things for his rash and it disappeared quickly. I liked her so much that I went back last week for myself. I have allergies but I'm not sure to what, so I had the allergy tests done (where they prick your arms) and I got a little faint. Dr.Yasharpour and her staff were really kind and kept checking on me and bringing me water until I felt better. And, the best part, she emailed me the next day checking in to see how I felt. I am very happy with my visit to Dr Yasharpour. I have had allergies that have been plugging my ears for the past five years or so. I have tried many nose sprays and allergy medicines and my ears still have been getting plugged. Dr Yasharpour recommended a new nose spray that I actually felt working after a week. I have had no plugged ears yet! Aside from being knowledgable, she is also extremely nice and caring! All the other doctors I have gone to could care less what I have tried in the past and just prescribe things to me without understanding what the real issue was. Literally just called to ask some questions about booking an appointment for allergy testing and the woman who answered the phone was chewing chips or something so loudly in my ear that I actually stopped the conversation to tell her how unprofessional that was. When a customer calls you need to be professional, this behavior tells me so much about the office. A customer was just lost and all she said was "okay" when I told her that she should not be eating and answering me with a full mouth when calling to speak to a professional. Wow. She sent me multiple messages back and forth, even after hours and weekends, to ensure I was satisfied with the outcome.
