The best doctor I've seen in years! Dr. Wolf is a real kind-hearted, hands-on, skilled pulmonologist at Cedars Sinai medical center. (My favorite hospital.) The office is clean and professional, COVID 19 safety measures are in effect throughout Cedars Sinai medical buildings and offices, masks are required and worn, masks are available for patients who need one as well. Nice! I sometimes wish the whole world would adopt the mission statement that Cedars Sinai adopted a few years ago which helped Cedars improve their hospital ranking and save a lot of lives. -"Always put the lives of people first." This mission is why it should come as no surprise to me that I'd find another incredible doctor here. Lucky me for being referred here by another amazing Cedars Sinai doctor. Lucky you for following this friendly neighborhood yelper! Dr. Wolf took his time while reviewing my long (and sometimes pretty incredible!) medical history, he asked me a lot of questions and took notes about everything. Dr. Wolf ruled out a long list of potential reasons why my lungs are filled with fluid since February 2021, from heart failure to allergies, hereditary conditions and illness by reading and reviewing every test I've been given along with every medication which had no affect. (A lot!) If you or a loved one have allergies, asthma, emphysema, shortness of breath, long term COVID-19 breathing problems, or pseudo pneumonia for a couple of years, this doctor is for you. Breathing problems, chest pain and fluid in the lungs can be a sign of something serious, so get checked out! Dr. Wolf gave me the most thorough and thoughtful exam I've been given in a long time! Afterwards, Dr. Wolf ordered additional tests and gave instructions to his office who helped me get expedited tests and medical clearances. You will be in good hands here. When it comes to one of the best in the business it's Robert Wolfe. He has taken amazing care of me for the past 30 plus years. When I lived in Hawaii I would always see him when I came to LA. I originally saw Dr Robert Wolfe many years ago for asthma-related issues. He also became the primary care doctor for my late husband who absolutely revered him throughout his life. There are no words to express his deep care for Roderick and great medical attention. I developed adult onset allergies about 4+ years ago - hundreds of them - from grasses to pets to many foods. Another doctor referred me to an ENT. After over Four years of allergy shots I still have breathing and coughing issues so in frustration I recently returned to Dr Wolfe. In his amazingly natural, friendly and common-sense fashion - after lung X-rays and other tests - he gave me a newer type inhaler to try (only once per day) that has helped me enormously in just 48 hours. Dr.Wolfe does not want us to just give into all kinds of meds. He wants us to evaluate how the pills, chemicals, even herbal treatments - whatever doctors keep prescribing- are really making a difference in our lives...he's truly practical and down to earth. Kinda surprised this doctor had high reviews. My husband was seen by Dr. Wolfe for a cough he was having for 3 months. Dr. Wolfe told my husband he had asthma, told him to "stop coughing" and said the work up my husband got at the ER was "bullshit". He was prescribed an inhaler, more steroids (even though my husband took 2 rounds of steroids with no improvement whatsoever) and told to come back in a week. Not trying to negate all these 5 stars reviews he has, but just documenting my husband's experience. read more

I've had a bad run with doctors blowing me off and not taking the time to delve into my medical history so I was skeptical of finding anyone that would help me and dreaded having to go to the doctor. What's not to love about a doctor who rides his bike to work? It's refreshing that this pulmonary disease specialist works hard to keep his pipes healthy. It's only natural that he'd be the man to trust with yours. I was a little wary at first-- I thought I was in the wrong office. The waiting room had a geriatric feel but I soon learned that the old folks were indeed wise. Dr. Wolfe was professional, personable, relaxed, and knew immediately what was going on with my funky breathing issue. I returned to the office later in the day for a breathing analysis that was a fun little science experiment - running some stairs, breathing into a tube, running more stairs. Dr. Wolfe seemed excited about it, making it fun for me as well. Let me preface this by saying I never write reviews. I am too busy. However, my experience with this office was so terrible that I am making the time now; others should know about this office before making an appointment to see Dr. Wolfe and his colleagues. I worked in a dentist's office for a number of years. I know the pressures and I also know how a medical office runs and how to treat people - patients and staff - professionally. I was treated so rudely and unprofessionally by the office staff as a new patient - I was yelled at by Verdell in billing who then hung up on me when I asked to speak to the office manager, Kim. I was trying to get clarity on what I could expect to pay as an out-of-network patient, and I don't deserve to be yelled at for that. I left Kim a message, who I spoke to a week and a half later when *I* called back - she never did. What a piece of work Kim is! She continued to talk over and interrupt me, told me that Verdell said I "pressed and pressed her." Excuse me?! First, this is a gross exaggeration. But even if it were true, this office believes asking billing questions and asking to speak to the office manager warrants yelling at a patient and then hanging up on her?! WOW! In my conversation with Kim, she contradicted what Verdell told me about pricing, and said I could expect to pay $350 cash price plus an additional $150 for a breathing test and she said that I might consider looking for a doctor who is in-network. I explained that I had recent CT scans and Pulmonary Function Test, and she brushed me off and said 95% of patients have this other breathing test. I got the feeling from the start of my conversation with Kim that she was trying to drive me away from the office. She continued to interrupt me and tell me that she was going to hang up on me, but I ended the call first. She then called back to say that they've cancelled my appointment. GOOD!! A doctor is only as good as his or her office staff. Do yourselves a favor and don't subject yourself to the rudeness and total lack of professionalism that you'll get from the staff in Dr. Wolfe's office. read more

He's thorough, no nonsense... and won't prescribe a medication or test unless he feels it is necessary. I recommend his practice with out reservations. read more

Dr. Wolfe is beyond exceptional diagnosis of my acute Sinusitis compounded with Bronchits has finally and at long last being resolved at to what I have exactly. After testing and testing and testing negative for Covid, I finally sought out diagnosis with Dr. Wolf my pulmanary doctor who solved my sleep apnea problem as well. Many problems occur and don't nessisarily involve Covid. The world we live in now determines you have Covid or need several covid tests when in fact this is not the one size fits all remedy to all illnesses. I had the vaccine and boosters. What a wonderful doctor and pleasant to be with. I discovered Dr Wolfe after high praise from a nurse who used to know him. I had given up on my symptoms. I had seen a Pilmonologist & was told that my "lungs are fine & no asthma." Yet my symptoms were quite real & still persistent. Very frustrating, but I wasn't about to give up & throw in the towel. I sought a second opinion. The usual preliminary breathing assessments were done, & then Dr Wolfe walked in. After reviewing the results, he said that a chemical detected in my breath that indicated asthma & that I had some sort of damage to my lower lungs that although did't require immediate attention for, he wanted "to keep an eye on it." I shared that the other doctor hadn't even taken X-rays. Aghast, he said "HE BLEW YOU OFF. HE JUST BLEW YOU OFF." I'm finally on my way to recovery. And he's always such a pleasure to deal with.
