I really feel like Dr, Ansari saved my life. He is extremely thorough and listens to his patients. My only regret is not seeing him sooner, as I would have saved myself two week of suffering. I was misdiagnosed at an urgent care and was given wha he caled was a "whimpy dose" of steroids. He diagnosed the problem was probably not stemming from my lungs, but rather from my sinuses. He provide me with a quick lesson on how the lungs and sinuses are part of th same breathing system.(if the upper part is leaking fluid or germs, the lower part usually gets irritated. The doctor placed me in a medical regimen that worked. I am finally able to go back to work and regain my life. I cannot recommend him highly enough. read more

First, when I called the office about an on-going cough/illness that I feared was going to travel to my lungs, Carol was able to get me in to see the doctor the very next day. She was very helpful and accommodating. We arrived early since I live in the area, but I was seen right away. The office was clean and comfortable. Horrible, rude, dismissive office staff who insists on speaking over neurodiverse patients instead of allowing them to communicate their needs. It is deeply rude and irredeemably ableist to gaslight and constantly interrupt a patient with a complex set of needs who is struggling with cognitive differences to communicate those needs to your practice, then cop an attitude when the patient tells you flatly that they need you to stop interrupting and speaking over them so that they can finish their thoughts. Dr. Ansari and his staff are very friendly and remember you. When we went into the office the receptionist remembered talking to us and our case. Dr. Ansari himself is a very friendly man that explains the condition of sleep apnea and what it entails. We didn't feel rushed and got a thorough response of what to do and why. There were ample times for questions and he also tries to explains the situation in terms of what we would understand. I saw Dr. Ansari for a sleep study. He explained everything very well and did an excellent job analyzing it. I have had a few sleep studies before and never had a doctor take the time to analyze it as thoroughly or to explain it as well. After 10 years of trying to figure out what was going on, I now have a full understanding of my sleep disorder and can do something about it. He also has a wonderful person at the front desk. I will never be a return client here just stating that from the git go. For one they don't have parking and they do cover any of parking underground which is 15 dollars just to see a doctor because there was no street parking. Upon arriving into the office it was very clean and nice I was not greeted by any of the two staff members sitting at the desk I had to walk up say hello and still no one looked up. Seriously? I then said I have a appointment at 10am can I check in they say yes and then ask my name which I gave them and from there they hand me new client info and say "here fill this out" ok fine I will do I do and hand it back I had my service dog with me of course I understand your a pulmonary doctors office however service dogs are allowed I don't care what room you place me in because I get it people with lung issues are coming there. I hear them go off to get a room and the hospital manager or some lady never saw her face but I heard them arguing which you should never do where a client can hear you but the front desk staff were defending my dog being there to her she was like no absolutely not then they stated he can sue if you refuse and reluctantly she said yes. They stick me in the back room which no patient should be placed in a room with security cameras why I was in a room with survalence cameras is beyond me and it was creepy one was looking outside but the other was watching the room. Confidentiality is important at a doctors office and I didn't feel that with those cameras. Secondly it looked like a storage room with all the cameras and extra stuff they have I. The office shoved inside. Also the bathroom had a second entrance so everyone using it I was hearing it just nasty. Oh and upon waiting for the doctor a guy was there for a sleep study and he didn't feel comfortable in the dark room and I was hearing him be threatened to take the test. Just rude and again ridiculous. The doctor entered the room he seemed nice and then I expect a pulmonary doctor to ask questions about my lung why I'm here and nope not a word for the first half. He starts asking why I don't work why I'm retired and then proceeds to explain how I can make money without the government finding out and I'm sitting there wondering are you my fucking financial advisor or a damn doctor? Like seriously half the appt was him giving me financial advice to cheat the government it's illegal idiot. Finally we get to discussing my lung for about 10 minutes he says here's two samples of inhalers I'll put you on let me know which your insurance covers and which one works best for you I called him 1 week later said the breo was best and got a hold of a nurse or front desk. Can you have the doctor call into my pharmacy it's been two months and still nothing has been called in I finally said screw this doctor called my primary and said all of what I posted above because they referred me to ensari and can they call in drug about 2hrs later it's called into my pharmacy seriously how difficult is that. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone if you care about someone's lung health take them elsewhere by the time this guy gets going they will be dead. Oh and the office was empty he literally had no other appts so it's not like he was busy. Avoid Ensari if you care about your health. Otherwise beyond all this the guy in general was nice but put his appt time and speaking in wrong place. Received this letter in the mail from the doctor and office manager about my review basically using excuse after excuse that's a first. Don't think they realize that they could have responded direct on here. Secondly this was sent over months and well after review was posted so definitely shows you how little they give a damn this was more to make them feel better. read more

My doctor suggested a sleep apnea test and referred me to Dr. Ansari. Dr. Ansari contacted me personally. After a detailed discussion he told me that even thought his offices are closed for the holiday, he would come in to give me the necessary testing equipment to take home. Before leaving, he told me that if I like the process to be expedited, even though his office was closed, he would come to the office the next morning which is today December 25, 2020 so that I can drop back the equipment. Unfortunatly, as paitients we have had to endure extra challenges in 2020, but Dr. Ansari made this experience a breeze. I recently had an experience with Dr. Ansari that I would have thought impossible in Los Angeles. I was referred to Dr. Ansari to provide me with an authorization request for a sleep study. The first indication of incompetence was that prior to my initial meeting with Dr. Ansari, he couldn't find the form I had previously submitted. I had my meeting with Dr. Ansari during which time he concluded that I needed a sleep study. I resent the form I had already submitted and didn't hear from Dr. Ansari for 2 weeks. I left 2 voice mail messages and sent 3 emails to find out why I had not yet received the insurance authorization. In response to my 4th email, Dr. Ansari informed me that he could not directly request an authorization because I had HMO and not PPO. He said he would send the report to my primary care physician so she could request the authorization. Another 2 weeks went by and my primary physician still hadn't received the report. I again left a voice mail message and sent an email telling Dr. Ansari that in 4 weeks he had not provided the report and my sleep apnea was increasing to the point that I was unable to stay awake to work and drive a car. Dr. Ansari responded to my email that he had sent the report to my primary physician. As you probably are predicting, Dr. Ansari still didn't send the report. My primary physician called Dr. Ansari to request the report and it has now been 5 days since that call and Dr. Ansari still hasn't sent the report and has not even returned the call of my primary physician. I am certain that the fact that I have HMO insurance resulted in Dr. Ansari not making as much money for his efforts as he would if I had PPO. In other words, these so-called Dr. now has failed to issue the report after 1.5 months and obviously has no intention of sending the report. For those of you considering Dr. Ansari, please be aware that he is running a medical volume business where patients are just numbers. You should also be aware that he evidently has no staff answering telephone calls because every time I called I receive a voice mail message with his voice telling me that he is busy and will return my call as soon as possible. I met with Dr. Ansari yesterday. I must admit I was a bit leery and started to cancel my appointment. I am so glad that I did not do that. Upon entering his office I was greeted by a friendly staff member. The office was clean and smelled refreshing. I'm really into smells. I have a sensitive nose. I waited about five minutes before I was called in. Dr. Ansari came in about two minutes later. He was very professional and thorough with me, which made me feel at ease. He allowed me to talk and I never felt rushed or disregarded. He's also a nice dresser. I agree with Saba S., Dr. Ansari is an amazing doctor. He knows what he is talking about. I left his office feeling inspired, motivated and encouraged. I now look forward to getting good nights of sleep regularly. I'm actually excited about it! I have called EVERY week for an update and the first response was that they have lost my records and had no info on my hour long appointment! Next they continued to pass me off from one person to the next promising to look into what is taking so long. Dr Ansari is committing fraud. He's engaged in massive over billing and when we questioned it he described a casual practice of over billing insurance companies to make more money-- 'everyone does it'! Beyond his description of insurance fraud he was unable to tell me why I should pay those same inflated rates for devices I could buy off Amazon for 1/5 the cost. My insurance company covered 60% of actual costs of these items and it was somewhere in the neighborhood of 250 dollars but his first bill to me was 1800! The lead-up to this convo with him saw my assistant suffering the insults of his wife at the front desk when we asked for an itemized billing of supplies we were receiving. We wanted to know what we were paying for. They could not provide that but insisted we owed them 1,800 for supplies. When we complained they haphazardly changed the price of bill to 1,350 (for nose pillows and plastic tubes) and when we pursued actual cost questions they were unable to keep up with their own lying from emails and calls-- its gone on and on. Today he told me to 'pay up or lawyer up', dropping names of litigators patients he's watched sleep. This is a bad guy. I intend to take this to small claims court and report him to the BBB-- im not co-signing or paying this criminal. I hope this review saves you the headache. read more

This doctor and his office are the absolute worst. If yelp allowed zero stars, that would be my rating. Dr. Ansari had me take a breathing test. After the test, the administrator of the test literally yelled at me and told me my breathing issues were all in my head. I am not exaggerating. Even worse, when I showed up for my follow-up visit to discuss my test results with Dr. Ansari, Dr. Ansari WAS NOT THERE. The receptionist offered no explanation, no one called me to warn me I should reschedule, they simply informed me when I arrived that I would not be meeting with the doctor that day. In my subsequent attempts to get in touch with Dr. Ansari, he never returned my call. I called several times... I am still waiting for a call back. This was four years ago. I never got to discuss my test results. I can say with confidence I've never had an experience quite like this one (and I hope I never do again). read more

About a year ago, I came to visit Dr. Ansari in regards to my mom's weight issue that he resolved so quickly and amazingly. Well, I had more recently started to see a difference in my own sleeping patterns, noticing that I was unable to get a full nights worth of sleep with constant interruptions throughout the night. I visited Dr. Ansari, and he spoke with me so throughly and so meticulously in order to address my issue. He ordered me a sleep study, and talked me through the entire process with ways to help better my nights sleep. And again, not once did I ever ever feel rushed. I have genuinely never seen a doctor who has cared so much for the well-being of his patients as Dr. Ansari does. He truly treats you with the respect and kindness that a patient deserves. Dr Ansari conducted a sleep study test for my father and treated his sleep apnea. He was extremely warm, friendly, welcoming, caring, and patient. He spent an enormous amount of time at each visit explaining what to expect for the sleep study, the results once it was completed, and how to work the sleep apnea machine once we received it. His front desk receptionist was also very sweet and considerate. She even helped me get my father in touch with the Uber driver that I had called over to pick him up. Given that their office is upstairs, she actually had to walk him over and was kind enough to do that. The sleep study technician was just as nice and friendly as the doctor and front desk staff. Making an appointment was easy, reaching them via phone and email has been easy, and they have always returned my calls and messages in a timely manner. I cannot speak any more highly! This Dr. didn't explain the risks of CT scans before ordering a chest, abdomen and pelvis scan for me unnecessarily. There are risks you need to discuss with your patients. FYI - Ionizing radiation such as that created by radioactive decay or in cosmic rays causes breaks in DNA strands. Low-level ionizing radiation may induce irreparable DNA damage (leading to replicational and transcriptional errors needed for neoplasia or may trigger viral interactions) leading to pre-mature aging and cancer. read more

Finally he referred me to Dr. Ansari for pulmonary evaluation. He listen to my longs and told me he thinks my right side has a pneumonia but to conform that I need a chest X-ray. I done the X-ray as I left the office. 2 hours later he called me and conformed my right long has a pneumonia. I'll start off by saying I never leave negative reviews, check my history. I helped my 70 year old mother book an appointment for a routine sleep apnea test and Dr. Ansari was a referral. When I called in I told them the doctor's name that referred her and asked if they needed her medical records sent over. They said since she had no prior history and had requested the test from her primary, that I didn't need to send medical records. The day of the appointment my mother mistakenly forgot her cell phone but had her medical insurance cards. After the appointment, the office called me and said the doctor needed to speak to me. When I returned his call he was very angry and asked me what we were thinking of her coming here and she didn't know the referring doctors name (which I had already given them) and we didn't have her medical records. She didn't remember her home address because she had just moved but I hardly think that's a good enough reason to yell at someone. He could easily communicate with his staff to get the information I had already given them. He made it clear that he was a 4 times board certified doctor and he had never seen anything like this before. Maybe he should have dedicated more time to customer service since that's the industry he is in.... he didn't get the memo. After yelling at me he said he wasn't office staff so he couldn't give me his office email and that I had to wait on hold. So if you want to be treated like garbage, go here. read more

I have been trying to find out what is wrong with me for 2 years. I seen every dr in the book and no one knew what was wrong with me. I have had excessive sleepiness and weakness in my right side of my body when I get emotional in anyway (excited happy sad stressed) I did a at home sleep study with the help of Dr Ansari asstinat Raul. I got my results the next day. They told me to come in and see the Dr he explained he thought I had narcolepsy and cataplexy. I had to come back and do an in lab all night study and stay the next morning. I had to wait for approval from my insurnace company. They denied me right away the first time. They called me and said don't worry we won't give up till they approve. DR Ansari pushed for two weeks and finally got them to approve the test. I did they test and they staff was extremely helpful and kept me comfortable. Raul made sure they nexts day stay was very peaceful they even had the phones turned off all morning and no patients scheduled so I felt very at home. They gave me breakfast and lunch for free. After about a week I got called back in. The Dr was right! I have narcolepsy and cataplexy. He was very informative and is going to help me adjust and get used to my new medicine.
