He talked through any prior water retention issues I had, and came up with a plan to future proof our house from any flooding that could happen with big storms. The crew were back out within a few days and executed the plan as Cliff specified. The laborers placed one of the pop-ups a little too close to the house, and without any intervention, the day-of-supervisor spoke with me to let me know they would extend it according to plan, and corrected everything. They also replaced my sump pump, which was not the easiest thing due to a seized grate closure (see pics), and at a fraction of the price quoted by plumbers. I was really impressed with how quick everything was completed, and for a job like this (digging long trenches to run PVC), my yard looks nearly immaculate. They gave me instructions to heal the grass patches so my lawn would look as it did before in no time. After the work was done, Cliff reached out to make sure all was working well when it rained. Alberto Iraola comes across as professional and mannered but I was extremely shocked by how he turned out to be, especially on the phone. First of all, he advertises his services at a rate that is unjustifiably high. We live in a very nice NW neighborhood but that does not mean we do not know the value of hard work and we're willing to pay for it, but with Alberto Iraola handling Rock Creek Landscaping, the work was hardly ever perfect and the accounting even worse... Half of the time the work charged was not properly done and we let it slide, even tipping the workers extra but when another astronomical bill came in the mail just to clean up our yard, we decided to question it.Oh boy, we realized quickly his temper and attitude was not someone we wanted to be working at our house. Before the end of the season, I informed Alberto Iraola (with a month notice) that we would not be needing his services anymore. Not only did he overcharge me on purpose to recoup some more money, but he also lied multiple times by saying he had never received a Zelle payment I made two months back. When I asked politely why there were so many"mistakes" on my bill and said I would not pay the balance until it is clearly explained, he first threatened to add late fees to the previous balance (which I had paid on Zelle) and then when he admitted I did make a payment on Zelle instead of apologizing, Alberto Iraola became extremely aggressive and threatening. I could not believe my ears, Alberto Iraola blurred out a whole slew of insults and racist remarks at me, for no apparent reason- especially targeting me being a "woman" and insulting my race and culture - which we've never even discussed... If you are a woman, have girls in your house, or are simply a respectful and decent human being, I would not hire Alberto Iraola and his team at Rock Creek Landscaping.

I had a few projects that he promised to finish in 2-3 days. After paying for the materials, he kept cancelling appointments. Now, TWO MONTHS LATER & after over a dozen cancelled appointments, the projects are still incomplete. Everything's started but nothing's finished. I've got dug-up holes that have been sitting for weeks, to the point where my neighbors and HOA are complaining. He trimmed my trees but left dead branches outside for 2 weeks & all the leaves blew into my neighbors' properties. I had to clean it all up myself after their complaints. The worst part? He repeatedly said he'd come by, and after waiting all day, he wouldn't show or even have the courtesy to call me ahead of time. I've wasted weeks and countless weekends waiting for him. I even went on a 2-week vacation, came back, and discovered he hadn't done any work at all. I'm beyond frustrated with constantly calling and begging him to do the job I already paid for.

Just to focus on what's within the contract like reshaping originally installed shrubs in a beautiful way, spraying chemicals on everything, and not cleaning up clippings. They just suck!
