They are very condescending, unethical, and completely unprofessional. They seem to believe that,…read moresimply because they are a private practice, they can treat people however they please and do not abide to the fair patient treatment practice. They were extremely inconsiderate toward my mother--who is 92 years old and in poor health who arrived on time for her scheduled appointment with the podiatrist, Dr Yu. The staff member, G Yu was very insensitive toward my mom. I tried to explain to G Yu that my mother had an open wound on her back and was in pain; despite having arrived punctually for her scheduled appointment, she was left waiting for over an hour and was the last patient to be seen. I was attempting to kindly intercede on behalf of my mother, who suffers from dementia and cannot speak for herself. G Yu completely disregarded my concerns and in retaliation she told me not to bring my mother back again. G. Yu appears to be the person in charge of the facility--the one who initiated the despicable act of patient abandonment--since the doctor simply complied when she asked him to discharge my mother and hand over her discharge papers. They are clearly in violation of ACA and HIPAA. I would like to remind this family medicine practice that they are not in China. We are in the United States of America, and people here have the right to be treated with respect and fairly. They advertise this website that does not exist: www.advancedmedicalfootcare.org. I would not recommend them at all!

I received a confirmation call early that morning stating that the appointment at 4:00, so I asked whether it was at 3:45 or 4pm, and a woman hung-up on me. I had a lot going on that morning, so I just went on with my day and arrived at Dr. Tortora's office at 3:48 pm, where I was greeted by a woman with her chest out who arrogantly asked, "what do you want"? I told her that I had an appointment at 4pm and she abruptly cut me off, again in an arrogant tone saying, "you don't have an appointment", to which I replied, "yes I do, and I actually confirmed it with you this morning". She stated, "you said you don't have an appointment today" and I told her, no, I asked whether the appointment was at 3:45 or 4 o'clock, then you hung up on me. I told her that I wanted to see the Doctor, "immediately", and she went into the back of the office. I heard the Doctor yell, "we're done for the day" to which the woman in scrubs said something that I couldn't hear, and the Dr Yelled, "tell him to go find another Doctor". The woman in scrubs came out and said go find another Doctor then slammed the glass door in my face. I had never been treated with such disrespect in my entire life, anywhere, especially in an office of a doctor, who swore in their Hippocratic Oath, to take care of the sick & wounded. Needless to say, I shall never step foot again in that office for as long as I live.

I'm very pleased. One bandaid later I'm back to business. He has helped my husband, my father in law and my MIL. To boot (pun intended) he's a very nice guy. Thanks for the mobility and the laughs.

I was in constant pain for 6 months and still walked funny. By chanceI went to my old Pilates teacher to get some exercise that would not put strain on my knee. He had moved on to neuro kinetics -- inside of 5 minutes, with minimal exercises, I stood up with no pain. He said if I went to him 2Xs a week, he could make it permanent. After a year, am down to seeing him once a month when my knee acts up . My knee will never be the same but. am pain free. (Oleg Belousov, neurokineticspro.com in Norwalk, 203 247 1381 - truly a magician!) Also, my gait has been corrected and I walk perfectly. I am 72 and forever pissed I went to Dr. Greenberger. I kick myself that I didn't get a 2nd diagnosis; I have never found another doctor who suggested I fuse my big toe and and I forever question every doctor I see before I just do what they suggest.
