This rumor has been floating around for well over a year, but this time it's fo real. Don't believe me? Then stop by. This place used to be filled to the brim with anything and everything you could image needing to fill the set of a movie no matter the movie's genre. At this point the owner has sold at least 70% of his stock and isn't stopping until the place is fully cleaned out. In fact, at this point he is basically giving things away. So long as you have a vehicle to haul it off, then it is yours. Everything left will be generously donated to various charity organizations in need. I paid this place one last visit to scrounge through what is left in search of hidden and buried treasures. At this point the main bulk of merchandise remaining is furniture, soooooo if you are in the market for furniture, of all sorts and styles, then I suggest you hightail it down to check out what is left. From what I understand, doors close permanently next week. It truly will be a sad day in Hollywood as this 40+ year old business closes for good. I can only wish the owner much success in future endeavors. I know giving up something you spent your entire life building must be hard. Tear.

John Moran auctioneers (Bob Cullen) got back to me saying they too could not identify the artist but they were very interested in putting the painting in an upcoming auction. I was totally interested in consigning. It wasn't my first rodeo as I sell vintage and sold through Swann in NYC. Swann has handled individual prints for me but not a painting. So I was hoping to find a local auction house for the painting to avoid shipping it. Swann charges 15% commission. I was waiting to hear back from Moran as I was planning to drop the painting off. That is until I heard their fee would be 35% plus a $50 fee for photography. To me that is highway robbery. I reached out to Swann as, at that rate, I'd rather ship it to them.

I had it installed and called the Sears/Craftsman repair center when it stopped working. Craftsman wouldn't honor the manufacturers warranty the people at Craftsman told me that my unit was slated for destruction, since it was a bad unit, and somehow through some back door it ended up with LA Liquidators. LA Liquidators invoices in very small print state that ANY MANUFACTURERS WARRANTIES ARE VOID WHEN YOU BUY FROM LA LIQUIDATORS. I didn't realize that until it was too late, I trusted their sales rep who told me the product was new, it was never communicated to me that the manufacturers warranty is VOID, and I never bothered reading the fine print of the invoice until it was too late. When I called LA Liquidators, and tried to address this issue the owner/manager was extremely rude and belligerent on the phone, cursing and insulting me.

With the store in my sites I pulled a hard right without rolling the SUV I was driving and parked... Amazing surf shop for goodie , surf boards and skateboards. Grabbed my Val Surf logo sweatshirt and a weird Nike shirt cause it was kick a$$ white with hot pink drawing... Now I explored and found great surf gear from major brands I won't mention but the shoe selection was amazing, especially the VANS. The suede leather Vans were awesome and I desperately wanted a few pairs but I didn't have room in luggage.... As I was walking past UGG's display they had the sand color version and again if I had room I'd bought a pair... Super cool " Dude " handling cashier duty's was awesome. The over the top skateboard decks blew me away located behind him and I only wish I was 12 again so I pester my parents for one... we had a good laugh about age and away I went...
