Buyer beware if you purchase a BBQ here…read more I purchased a Charbroil Commercial Series Grill and Griddle Combo where Lowe's will put it together and deliver to your home for free because the purchase price was greater than $400. Sounds good so far. They deliver my grill and the griddle has some kind of industrial grease on it. Please note that this is not part of seasoning the griddle as Lowe's does not preseason griddles before delivering. The delivery guys agree that this is strange and they take it back and arrange for another one to be delivered. The second grill and griddle show up with the exact same problem so I send it back again. I get a call from Lowe's asking for clarification on why I keep sending back the grills so I tell them and the rep says she will make a note in the system to make sure when they are putting the grill together that this problem does not happen a third time. Get a call a few days later that it must be a manufacturer's defect as all the the griddles have this exact same problem. Please note that as of a month later Lowe's still has this same BBQ on the floor for sale. I now have to completely cancel the order and get a refund but as multiple departments are involved I keep getting referred to someone else as the person to help me but that person keeps referring me back to the first person. After spending multiple days waiting for the delivery and time on the phone with them I have spend the better part of a day and I still don't have a BBQ. You would think that after all this someone at Lowe's management would call me and try to offer me a good deal on another BBQ but I have never heard anything from them.

The kiosk had my original key and was not releasing it. (Nor was it working to make my key) She, Ingrid, said, "That's not our machine, it's 3rd party" I asked her how I could get my key out of the machine? She said, "I don't know, it 3rd party" again. I asked her to get a manager. That never happened. I felt dismissed. I don't want anyone else to have this experience. If you want support, don't ask Ingrid and don't use the key kiosk.

While still on the phone with him, I go back to the website hoping he will offer a suggestion, and the link for the pump I called about shows that it is in stock 5 miles away and ask him why it is showing they have them if there aren't any in a "100 mile radius" he says "let me check....uhhh oh...yes they show that there are 3 in stock". Are you kidding me?? So apparently BOTH of these people were too lazy to actually check and see if there any in stock anywhere else? My most important complaint is that some of the categories do not make sense which makes you wander around for a while before you find what you need. For example, Plumbing is not a subcategory of faucets! Rather, faucets is a subcategory of plumbing, so why did they categorize the whole section as "Faucets"? Another example? Rodent xcluder fill fabric. If you ever manage to find anything of the sort, kudos to you! One of the sales people and I went isle after isle looking for it. For some reason, every body had a different opinion as to where it should be. Everybody agreed that they have it, no one including the computer were able to locate it. Prices are usually fair. Nevertheless, shopping here is one of the least pleasant activities I have to endure.

A few days ago I needed to get some key copies made so I was nearby and went in. I asked where the key copying was and a guy pointed to the far back corner. I went over there and sat on the chair near the cash register because I was not feeling well, and saw a guy 20 feet away with the sun behind him, he was not wearing a red Ace jacket like others there did, and I asked "do you work here?" His reply was, I've been pretty accurate here, "no I just like cleaning up stuff for fun in my spare time." I was sitting on the chair by the cash register which should be enough for him to say don't sit on the chair by the cash register, I felt that was very rude but perhaps he would follow up with a OK but how can I help you. No. That was all he said and then he continued cleaning up around the key duplication machine for another minute or two before I said that I would like some key copies. He had a short name perhaps three letters? I went and paid at the register, asked a guy if he was the manager and he said yes and I told him what happened. I said someone like this shouldn't be working anywhere, much less at an ace hardware store. If you're interested it did seem that they had lots and lots of supplies and things that one might need, but I think that there could be other better, nicer, friendlier and perhaps cheaper, do your own research, places to go by whatever it is that you might need.
