AI explained that weekend service was available, but it would cost more. We called back Monday at 0800. A technician, Eric arrived within an hour. He covered his shoes and checked our hvac system. He explained that the fan on our 26 year old system froze up and had to be replaced. He explained what replacement would entail and provided an estimate for the repair. Since our hvac is 26-years old we asked him about replacing whole system. Eric said he could only give us information about fixing what was broken and another tech would have to talk to us about whole hvac replacement. Bobby arrived about 2 hours later. We researched CR for recommended whole hvac replacement before Bobby arrived. We knew what CR said about quality and pricing before he arrived. Eric had briefed Bobby and he knew where everything was. He rechecked everything and discussed with us parts and labor. Bobby covered his shoes also. Replacement was expensive. CR recommended getting repairs if you could due to costs, but in our case our hvac was on its last legs. And temps in triple digits were expected. The system was top rated and the cost was reasonable. Veteran's discount were applied. And we got a hospital rated filter too. Next morning at 0800 Zack arrived within two other techs. The covered their shoes, put canvas over all the floors and by 1600 all new systems were in place, inspected and Zack provided tutorials on maintenance and use of thermostat. I recommend Janhke H&A 110% . I could not imagine more professional and considerate service. 0% financing is also available.

May 2025 I spent $15,885.00 on a new furnace and heat pump. When installed it did not work properly. Service call two days later, still not working properly. Did not use over the summer. November the service calls started again, until the repairman stopped communicating with me. It took a complaint to the Construction Contractors Board in January, eight and one half months after installation, for Warren to call me. Warren and Brandon came out, hooked up a loose wire, problem solved? They needed to order a part so he came back within 2 days of the part arriving to install it. Everything is working efficiently now. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is they forgot to call me back with the specific timing of the part's delivery arrival, which Casey told me he would do later that first day, and no one called to schedule the install of the part. The install was only scheduled because I called them and then it took them 15 minutes to figure out why I was calling when I did call to follow up on the install.

What I'm still really unhappy about is: * Lack of communication with ME, the homeowner, the one who made the call for service. "When you called for service you were offered a sales call to provide you with a proper quote, or T&M if you have the parts already and just want to pay for labor. You told the CSR who took your call that you have the parts needed. You chose the T&M option which is $150 per hour for one tech and $250 per hour for 2 techs plus material (marked up)." * No check in with me to see what my budget was. Was I ever asked? No. "When budget is a concern a hard number can be provided with a sales call. T&M can be the cheaper option but not always if you dont provide all of the correct material. We have most common items available on our vans and mark up that material and have it available for your convenience. If we dont have the material and have to go to the store you pay for that time." * Leaving and coming back THREE times - once to get self-tapping screws to make the fan I bought work (don't your guys carry this very common item?), second time to buy a new fan when they realized it wouldn't work, third time to buy a dryer hose. "When you choose T&M you need to have all the material needed or we have to go get it. He arrived within 30 minutes. Excellent communicator and really an expert in his field. One morning I heard an alarm going off and to my dismay, it was my Carbon Monoxide Alert! I turned…read moreoff my furnace, ran around opening all my windows and went outside to call Kevin Jahnke. He had been referred by a friend who spoke very highly of his professionalism and work ethics; my friend was very happy with the furnace that Kevin had installed for him 2 years ago. Kevin made sure I had turned off my furnace and came out as soon as he could. When he turned the furnace on, he quickly assessed that my carbon monoxide level was dangerously high and this was caused by the heat exchange. To replace the heat exchange on my 20 year old furnace was not feasible due to the cost, so he quoted me a price of a new furnace that was not a Trane, but had the same warrantee and reputation, and was much more reasonable. He worked really hard on getting my old furnace out and spent wayyy more time than he anticipated, but did NOT charge me any extra at all! He made sure the new furnace was installed perfectly, making sure to correct the mistakes that the last furnace had, (the old furnace was not level, had air gaps, etc).... Kevin made sure it was perfect! Before he left, he checked all the carbon monoxide levels, and they were fine. He also refilled my air coolant for me and just charged for the coolant, not the evaluation or labor. All in all I feel Kevin Jahnke is an extremely compassionate, professional, very reliable Heating and Air Specialist... He will be the first person I call when I need servicing for my heating and air. Oh.. by the way... he is not affiliated with Jahnke's Heating and Air any longer.. that was a family business and now Kevin is out on his own.
