So I called Vicki, who claimed to have never seen my response to her email. Said she would try reach Jarra. Jarra called awhile later to let me know how fortunate we are that "the company has cleared my afternoon so I will try to be there to take a look between 1:00 and 4:00 pm"-and that's with a cleared afternoon. Jarra also inquired about my email, claiming that no one can find it "Vicki can't find it the owner can't find it, everyone is looking but it isn't there." There were no problems with our email exchanges in December, so I am sure Vicki is simply having more trouble. Jarra texted around 3:15 to tell me he was headed our way from Eagle Point and arrived at our door at 3:50. He explained that he was on the phone and speaking with a technician about the codes I had told him about and that he would start trying to track the problem at the heat pump while talking with the technician. Jarra then came inside the house to the air handler while still speaking with the technician on speakerphone. The technician was explaining that there was no communication between the controls, the heat pump, and the air handler and he was quite certain of the cause. He told Jarra what he could do to test the theory and eliminate other possibilities, but again, he was certain of the fix needed. While they were talking Jarra answered a query from the technician saying "this unit is a 950, not an 850" which gave the technician pause before he said something like "oh, ok, I didn't realize that. Well, it is what it is but I am still betting that this is the fix." Jarra then explained that he needed to remove our thermostat from the living room wall and try to hook it up direct at the air handler to both the air handler and the heat pump to see if he could establish communication between the three. He then proceeded to do this. When I asked Jarra why the technician became sympathetic when he learned that this unit was a 950 instead of an 850, with some hemming/hawing Jarra explained that the 950 has some "peculiarities that can cause issues" or words to that effect. He further explained that there is now a 1050 that is supposed to address those issues. After connecting the thermostat direct to the air handler and heatpump control located in our closet, Jarra explained that he could not figure out how the wires were run from the thermostat in the livingroom to the air handler and would need to "check with my company to see when the can free someone up to come help me. You will need to leave the closet open so the the heat sensing unit can tell how warm it is. I will be back to finish this up as soon as we can arrange it. He then left us with nothing but a hole in the wall with wires sticking out where the thermostat was and the thermostat sitting on a toolbox in the closet with the air handler and instructions to leave the door open. Feb. 18, 2026 Jarra called this morning, inquired as to whether everything was still working. Then said something along the lines of "well I've talked with everyone I need to talk to on my end and we are ready to come back and complete the repair and I was wondering, , well management was wondering if we do that, would you be willing to withdraw your unfavorable Google review?" Not having expected to have my repair completion held hostage, I began to say that I would have to think about that, given that these issues have been ongoing since this company carelessly/recklessly allowed the computer motherboard in the system to get soaked. I further explained that along with the constant extra costs and uncomfortable temperatures, the constant interruptions to our lives having to wait/be available for 3-4 hours waiting for a technician, etc. have gone on for years as well and the company has remained completely unconcerned until right now. Jarra then did some more hemming and hawing and I asked him if what he was trying to say was that the company was trying to end our relationship hoping to further avoid responsibility. Jarra confirmed that it was his impression that if I am unwilling to reconsider and withdraw this review and forget everything that has gone before then the company wants to end the relationship, but said he would need to speak with them again and would call me back. Jarra called back about 10 minutes later to inform me that the company was quitting without finishing the current repair and was voiding the regular maintenance contract, "but they decided they would refund to you what is left on the contract. And at least it is working, but if you don't want to leave it like it is you will need to find someone else to finish the job. You could leave it like it is and it should be fine for awhile but it won't be as convenient.", or words to that effect. Was disappointed but unsurprised with Allied's decision, and sorry for Jarra's part in it. Shameful conduct all around. read more

I contacted Allied Comfort Pro for a duct cleaning quote. I was informed they could only provide a quote after their Installation Manager did a brief inspection. Well, he called only to inquire how many registers (vents) were in the home. Apparently, 11 registers is above the normal 8 registers and we were quoted $890 over the phone and via email. I then called Jim Williams who was recommended by the very dependable Mark at AirTec. Jim arranged a time to come inspect and provide a quote. So pleasant and professional. We were quoted $400 and he was able to schedule the duct cleaning within the week! House air is noticeably "fresh" and we were so happy with his work! read more

Do not use this company. I was told it would take at least a few hours to clean the ducts and it was under 15 mns. And the air duct in my kitchen is still filthy and I can't be in my home because I get sick when I turn on my heat. And now I have an ear infection and get dizzy. $500 for under 15 mns is a scam. They did nothing and then want you to buy and sign for more contracts. Why would I pay for more services when the first one was'nt done right. I called and complained and never heard back other than sending someone out a few days later to try to get more money for future services. He said he wasn't involved with the cleaning part just sales. He said he'd let them know. Still never heard a word from anyone. I guess the other great reviews are either fake or they got someone who did it right. I did not! But they don't care once they have your money. WOW! Right on time, personable and professional, and a great investment in the upkeep of my heating and cooling system. Earlier I had to beg-off maintenance for reasons of poverty. But I'm so glad I was able to re-confirm for a twice-annual maintenance schedule. Good thing I did. The seemingly endless forest fires in our neck of the woods had my five-inch filter looking like a mohair blanket. "Obe" was my service man, and he did a great job. In addition to his expertise, he was a lifter, just like me. However, my balance now prevents me from cleaning the upper vents on a ladder, unless I have a harness and a spotter, which I don't. I think of the money I've saved from hospital bills. Obe even gave me tips on better maintenance between visits, such as how to clean pigeon droppings on the outdoor unit. (Don't even get me started on the subject of pigeons.) In past times, I relied on a service for my HVAC from a business that is now defunct. I don't mean to wish them any ill will, but I'm glad I found Allied; a great replacement. Five stars, Allied, for healthier breathing. Never, ever hire this company! They over-charge, they are incompetent, impolite and their communication skills are non-existent. My original gas furnace and ductwork was done by SpringAir in Jacksonville, Oregon. They did a superb job, but for unknown reasons went out of business shortly thereafter. Allied Comfort Pro bought them out apparently, so I continued with Allied for yearly maintenance. This year, Richard, who has always been the person who came to service the system, showed up and informed me that there was a big problem with the heat exchanger, which was leaking and starting to crack. He showed me pictures he'd taken with his phone. He said furnace was 20 years old, and I should now replace it because that was the maximum lifetime of an American Standard Furnace and air conditioning compressor. The cost estimate for replacing just the furnace is over $7,000. Now I'm in process of getting bids from other HVAC companies. I found out that there is actually a lifetime warranty on the furnace itself. So a new part will be ordered to replace the heat exchanger, and my only cost will be labor for the installation of that part. Furthermore, according to the HVAC company who has given me this information, the current problem with the heat exchanger is not a recent one. It could never have accumulated this much rust in one year. Since Allied came a year ago to just do maintenance, they should have discovered this leaking and cracking a year ago. I seriously doubt whether any of their maintenance has been done in the past. Beware of Allied Comfort Pro. There are much better companies in the Rogue Valley for sure! read more

Waiting to see if the technician returns to fix what he missed when he checked it and said it was fixed. Charged $450, he left and it quit 20 minutes later. Cant believe he said it blew the fuse because it was too hot outside, to pour water on the unit to cool it down and try it again... 3 young children in a home thats 92 degrees inside and he was unwilling to return to fix it without most likely charging an "emergency call out" fee because it was a holiday and then time and a half minimum on top of that, because HE did not do a thorough inspection of the unit when he was first there. Should know in 24 hours if this review gets better or much worse... this was not my unit, it was for someone I know... WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! Technician mis-diagnosed the problem, won't return to fix unless they agree to pay for another call out and additional labor. Terrible customer service, he WAY overcharged and failed to fix the unit properly. Ran for 20 minutes, right back to square 1. I would strongly recommend against using this company. We used Allied comfort pro to install a minisplit system in our home 2 and a half months ago. I could not be more displeased, disappointed, or, frankly, angry about the treatment we have received. f We gave this company over 7K and are extremely unhappy with a yet unresolved issue involving a malfunctioning unit. First, the company promised that after installing the system they would send a technician for a routine check in 2 weeks...6 weeks later we'd heard nothing from them and hadn't seen them. The office manager/scheduler, Vicki, was patronizing to my husband when he called to ask that the service call be provided as promised. Additionally, and more importantly, it seems that one of the units installed in our home may be a lemon, because it has unusual problems (it makes lots of noises, waking me repeatedly throughout the night). The techs who have come out to investigate have basically told us that everything's fine in spite of the fact that the problem continues. There has been poor communication within the company, because each time a tech comes out, they seem to not to know about the problem and what has already been done and communicated about it. Although two of the technicians they've sent have been professional and respectful, and the technician, Damon, whom my husband spoke to on the phone was professional and knowledgeable, I am particularly boggled by the unprofessionalness of one of their technicians in particular. This company has twice sent out a toxic technician named Richard who has been disrespectful, rude, and unhelpful. In his two visits to our home, he has interrupted myself and my husband we're explaining what's going wrong or asking questions, has walked away from my husband while he was the middle of a sentence, and speaks down to me in an incredibly condescending way all the while being unclear in his communication and not helping to solve our problems. Just now he walked out of a service call before finishing when I called him on speaking disrespectfully to me. Damon Cochran is the real deal. He tells you the truth and doesn't quote you something that isn't needed. Their office staff is friendly and proactive as well. My only complaint is the lead time on getting my furnace replaced. They quoted 4-12 weeks and am scheduled me and appointment over 15 weeks after my signed contract was approved and accepted. I hired this company not knowing how dishonest are. They charged $70 for diagnostic than charged me $875 for labor but made me believe that it was the cost of the furnace replacement and labor. I asked for a discount it wasn't in their belief and we are new in this town, after the work was done I found out that the $875.00 was only for 2 hours of labor and I was furious I called the furnace company to have them help me but it didn't happen. After being without air conditioning for two weeks during one of the record heat waves in Southern Oregon and after being left high and dry by another company who failed to keep their appointment I called Spring Air. I called on a Friday and the person I talked to apologized for not being able to get to me that day, but assured me they could come on Monday. From the person in the office, Vickie, to the technician that did the repairs, Al, there was an air of professionalism. They called me twice to let me know they were running a little late and then again to let me know they were on the way. The charge was very reasonable and it was less than an hour and I had cool air blowing through the vents. A little over an hour later the house was cool and comfortable. From the receptionist to the technician, I was treated politely and had a quick and economical fix to my problem. I had trouble with my Nest Thermostat--regardless what Nest says in instructions, you do need the blue common wire hooked up--I did not have one in my old thermostat. After a few months, I was not getting power to my thermostat and it was delaying starting. After numerous calls to Nest, they finally agreed to reimburse me if I found someone to come out and fix it (their service that they hire was going to take 3 weeks to get to me!). They gave me several numbers, I called one and had to leave a message, then got Allied Comfort. The receptionist was not only very friendly, but also I had an appointment that afternoon! He came out, and after only a $70 fee, he had everything up and running. I had managed to hook up the blue common wire in the Nest box, BUT I needed it hooked to the unit itself in the attic and it was not as easy because they had a different system of wires. Can't say enough about how professional everyone was that I worked with, especially Steve who was the technician who quickly and thoroughly checked out my system, fixing the issue. read more

We bought a house in the area and Allied did the inspection on the Air condition and heating system for the house as part of the inspection process. We have a receipt from them stating that everything was good to go without any problems. After the sale and our first week in the house the air condition was not working. Of course it was a 101 degrees which happens here in the summer time. We could not get them to come out and look at it in a timely manner so we called a different place. Come to find out that all the wiring was jerry rigged and that we need to pay to have to get it rewired which could be $400- 700.00 plus more. That is something we could have included in the repairs needed for the house before purchase, but due to their negligence we have to pay for it on top of purchasing a home. We called Allied several times with our concerns and asked them to come out and fix it. They did not call back and they never fixed it. They just ignored us and told us basically it was not their problem. We were shocked by their clear dishonesty, unskilled work and/or inability to throughly check something, terrible customer service and that they actually put it in a writing on a receipt that it was it was good to go. I would not use them again and had not planned on doing a review, then the last straw came. I encountered multiple negative issues with Allied and now I'm having a problem with the rebates. It seems Energy Trust did not receive it and now I'm a week away from the 60 day deadline. It took them four full days to install an albatross of a furnace. The snake oil salesman advised me the unit would be much smaller than the existing one. I addressed this before it was completed and was told I had no other option. Once the job was completed, I had to re-light my water heater and could not access it. I had to use a mirror to fit in a 3 inch space to see if I lit the flame. During the final inspection another employee was kind enough to act on the albatross and make it a much more tidy unit (the reason for two stars). The installation staff were very kind and were not in a position to modify the unit, the Salesperson made no effort to address it. A positive, they did show up and the furnace works. read more
