Paid out of pocket about $100 more than the actual insurance deductible thinking that I would get a better quality of glass than Safelight provides which is who my insurance recommends however I got the exact same windshield and had to return because my windshield wipers were offset by 2 inches damaging the paint job to my hood and I have a whistling noise that did not exist before. Also had to clean grease off of my fabric headliner and the handles of my doors. Additionally the windshield provided blocks a portion of my VIN #, I guy that's good for parking infotainment but clearly shows poor quality on the part of the manufacturing of original equipment manufacturer equivalent products.! read more

Did a good job installing the new windshield and got it done just short of an hour. So good there. Unfortunately it was clear there was no effort to protect the inside of the truck from debris during the removal and installation process and no effort to clean up afterwards. Including greasy hand marks on the outside of the truck. This was very clear because I just had the pickup washed, vacuumed, dusted and vinyl dressing applied inside and out the day before at Suds Car Wash & Detail in El Dorado hills. So no recommendations and no repeat business for Absolute Glass in Placerville. If you should decide to give them a try ask them what they do to protect your vehicle during installation and cleaning up afterward and carefully inspect your vehicle before driving away. read more

We bought a used car and noticed a couple chips in the windshield. Brought it in to get them fixed, they said it would be about 30 min. We went to get breakfast but Crimson called us just as we got there. Crimson told us our chips had already been repaired, but they put another layer of resin on them to seal them up well. They could have charged me for fixing them and I would have been none the wiser. They charged us nothing. Will take every vehicle that has glass problems to them. While on vacation in Lake Tahoe, our vehicle was attacked by a pine cone, which shattered our windshield. Having two days left in paradise, we needed to find a company to fix our windshield quick. The local company was booked until next week, "sorry can't help you" not even fake empathy; a national brand company was booked for three weeks "oh no, wish we could, but we can't" there was my fake empathy! I did a very stupid thing! I left my Jeep back window open. So, when I went to open the garage, it locked against the window and then finally exploded all over the place! I couldn't believe how much glass there was. It looked like a bomb had hit it. The mechanism that works the wiper, and arms that open the window were all bent and torn. I take very good care of my car, and I was upset that it would never look great again. I called Absolute and they got me in the same day and in one hour, they not only finished it but it looked as if it had not happened!!! I could not be happier.
