Short version: outstanding prices, with fast and friendly service -- what more could you possibly want in the unfortunate situation where you need car glass replacement? This place is such a gem! Longer, more meandering version: I needed a car window replacement for a passenger side window on a new Grand Highlander (don't even get me started on the gravel flying on Hwy 50 these days!) and I knew I wanted to find a place in South Sac where it's fast to get in and high rent real estate isn't being built in to my repair costs. In a sea of fake reviews on the internet, including yelp, I saw the ever-active, ever-helpful Carol P.'s review of this place and reached out at night through the yelp app. Jimmy responded quickly (like later that night) with a quote and an offer to get me it the next day. He even followed up the next day with specific parking and location instructions that were super helpful. I was in and out in 45 minutes, just like they said I would be. The guys did perfect work and were professional and friendly. There is a basic waiting room, but really you should wander next door to Hi-Fashion Fabrics. That store is freakin' great, and you probably don't go there enough and explore it. It's not just fabric -- it's craft supplies, beautiful buttons for upcycling a vintage coat (which is what I ended up buying), feather boas for like $6 (which you probably need). So, while I hope I never have to go back, I know that if I do end up with cracked auto glass, I'll be back here for sure! read more

Called, got an answer. I had a less than quarter sized chip. Person was very nice and gave me the options for chip. $80 and I was able to make same day appointment. In fact I was able to drive over after call and get serviced. When I got there, they let me know the possibility the crack may run in the attempt to seal it, something like %30. The service took 30 minutes as stated. I sat in the office while waiting. The office/sitting area is very garage vibes lol but they had "Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story" playing so it was cool. Shoddy workmanship. Take your business elsewhere I got my drivers window replaced here, they had same day availability and pricing in the range of the other quotes I got. The replacement took only 30-45 minutes. When I got the car back, the glass was making a loud sound as it shut. It was also shifting side to side irregularly when rolling up. I found this immediately when I got the car while it was still in the lot. I talked to the gentleman that handed over my car; he brushed it off as a possibly window regulator issue that may have happened when the glass broke. When I got home I took off the door panel and found the issue. They used a wrong size bolt to secure the glass (pictured). The bolt got stuck, and was not secured all the way. This allowed the glass to shift on the regular bracket and make the sound. This is something the repair person either knew or should have known. There are only two bolts, so he either lost or dropped one of the old ones or ??. Removing the wrong bolt took me much longer than the what it would have took just doing the whole job myself. While working on this, I also found they used painter tape to adhere the water shield plastic back (pictured). This was also disappointing/shotty. I sealed everything back with some $4 silicone from Home Depot. I went back to the shop with my findings. They did not offer my any partial refunds or credits. They did offer to fix the work, but I had already done that and I don't trust them to touch my car again. If you do decide to use this shop, I also attached a picture of the terms and conditions on the BACK of the invoice they ask you to sign before you pick up your car. This seems underhanded as these terms are not shared before the work or called out before signing. I suggest you inspect your car before signing or paying anything. They don't open until 10. So that's the first issue. They "fixed" both my window regulators a few months ago and they are already broken. They are using the cheapest parts possible and not even giving customers the option to purchase factory parts. When I spoke to someone about it they could not even tell me what the warranty was on the parts they used. They may be fine to use it you have a simple issue. But not something that involves mechanical issues of any kind. read more

These guys were helpful in explaining why my windshield was leaking and the end result was I had them remove the windshield and I took it down the street to have rust removed from the flange. I put a lot of effort into getting the body work done nicely. This allowed the window mastic to seal. So I did this and they put in a new window. After I got home I realized that the window gasket was crooked and the whole piece of glass was off to one side about 1/4" and too low 1/2". I went back to point this out and they told me it was fine. They said it would not leak as the seal is below the gasket and the gasket is only for looks. Well it looked terrible and yes agreed that it won't leak but the gasket is also there to shed water away from the primary seal. All windows and water exclusion systems have multiple layers of defense and the gasket is there to shed the majority of water away from the critical seal. This will also help keep out debris and standing water under the gasket and around the window which will limit rust and corrosion which was the problem in the first place. The guy who did the work stood right in front of me and denied that the gasket was not even touching the top edge, that the gasket was crooked at the top and the the whole window was too low and off to one side. Honestly he may have needed glasses. He took a few pictures and sent to Jimmy the boss. Jimmy could not have cared about the gasket. He didn't even want to look at it. I offered to come back in so he could see and he said there was no use. These guys are nice, fast and affordable but they could care less about doing a good job. I'm working on my nieces car and it is a 2004 camry so maybe they just thought who cares? But I was really hoping to make the car nicer and not get a cheap job done. If you care about a good job I would go elsewhere. It would have been only $100 for a new piece of glass and the labor for them would have been free as they were not busy the 4 times I stopped by shop. If they had acknowledged it came out like crap I would have even offered to pay some of the cost of glass. A good shop for that amount of money would have just redone it and apologized. read more

My dad has been using Absolute Auto Glass services for yrs and has said nothing but good things about them. He's had at least one of my cars I used to have yrs ago serviced here to replace the windshield. Initially, they quoted me a somewhat higher price due to my 2020 Toyota Camry needing it's sensor re-installed that's inside of the car behind the rear view mirror and attached to the windshield. This sensor system has a camera and is used for the pre-collision feature and the feature to avoid swerving or drifting into other lanes. I'm not a car person and didn't know this system needed special care or a windshield service that had the means to correctly re-install it, run diagnostics on it, and to recalibrate it as well. They agreed to the lesser amount they originally quoted my dad over the phone for my 2020 Toyota Camry. All I was made aware of is that they'd have to put it back or re-install the system with the new windshield prior to the installation. Their service was quick and that was when I got the bad news unfortunately. They told me after the service was done and I had paid, that the sensor may need to be recalibrated. That each time they take it in and out for a new windshield there's a risk that the car will say to recalibrate it. I get into my car and the warning lights are on for that system saying it was off and warnings saying the same thing on the digital screen of the dashboard. I asked if there was anything they could do if they could try again re-installing it or try to fix it. They said they couldn't or were unable to. They stated they didn't have the diagnostic tool or computer to see what the issue was, cannot recalibrate it, and stated I'd need to go somewhere where the business had the means to recalibrate and run a diagnostic for an additional cost. I paid I believe $363 if I remember correctly for my windshield to be replaced here. The Toyota dealer wanted to charge over $600 to recalibrate the sensor system and a few other businesses with the means to properly handle the system quoted around $250, this is an additional cost I'd need to pay on top of the $363. Then of you don't have cash you're charged a small fee to use your card. Customers shouldn't have to ever cover the service fee to run an ATM machine when businesses write this off on their taxes and it's an expense to run a business. Cards are used a lot in business so I'm not sure why that's on the customer and who carries over $200 on them just in case? I was very disappointed by the lack of transparency from Absolute Auto Glass. If this was the case, then they should've been honest with me and warned me about the risks involved before they serviced my windshield. They didn't share any of this information until the service was done and paid for. They also said how it doesn't happen every time when they service my car model for other customers. Ok if that's the case still a warning of what might happen would be nice. So the customer can decide if they'd take the risk. Then maybe charge less to cover the potential cost of going to another windshield business to possibly recalibrate it? I ended up taking my car to another business with the means and knowledge to properly handle the sensor system, run a diagnostic, and to recalibrate it. Luckily, it did not need to be recalibrated but, this other business found that a wire wasn't properly plugged back in when the sensor system was reinstalled by Absolute Auto Glass. That was the cause of the warning lights. The dishonesty to make money on top of the hassle of going to another business, the time, and potential additional cost of having my car serviced is the reason for my low star rating. If you have a 2020 Toyota Camry or another car with something similar on the windshield then have it done elsewhere. read more
