Do not buy a car from these thieves. They are pushy and dishonest. I am well aware that you take your chances buying a used car from a dealer. However, there is an expectation that the dealer has done a full inspection of the vehicles they're selling and that they will disclose any major issues to you. This is not the case with Absolute Auto. My 19 year old daughter purchased a car from them. She paid every penny she had saved, $4,100. We brought it to the mechanic, thinking the brakes might need replacing. We paid $1,100 to have the sub-frame bushings replaced. Less than 30 days later, she was broken down on the side of the highway. We had it towed to our mechanic who told us there were two holes in the engine and it would need to be replaced. $3,700. When all is said and done, we will be out almost $9,000 for a crappy old 2007 Nissan. If you're thinking of going here, think again. I have filed a consumer complaint against them, so hopefully something will come of that. Just wanted to also put this out there, so some other unsuspecting Mother/Daughter duo don't get robbed. To be frank, I hate writing reviews like this but I'd highly recommend anyone to STAY AWAY from this place. We reached out last weekend to put a deposit down on a vehicle prior to traveling to NJ from Georgia, and that according to very inaccurate pictures and the words of the staff at this dealership was in "great condition" and "drove very well".....that was most certainly a mistake. Prior to placing our deposit, we asked for more pictures of the vehicle and were essentially told no because there were "tons of pictures of the car already on our site." We were also informed over the phone before making our trip that we'd be able to take the vehicle to a mechanic (of our choice) for a pre-purchase inspection. Upon arriving at the dealership, we were rudely told that we could NOT take the vehicle to a facility that we'd chosen because it was "too far away" (after submitting a 20% deposit on the vehicle) even though it was a 20 minute drive away. Now we go outside and take a look at the car....apparently our definitions of "great condition" are very different. Before stepping inside of the car, we notice tons of rust on the trunk, roof, and side body panels of the car in addition to the fading paint on the roof. Once we look inside of the car, it's gross and there's damaged leather on the steering wheel, seats, and an entire tear on the backseat that was never disclosed to us or documented in photos (they covered with their logo). In addition to all of the cosmetic issues with the car, once it was started, we knew that this was definitely not a purchase we would be making....the Check Engine Light was illuminated along with the car displaying faults with the ABS system, Traction Control System and Electronic Stability Control system. Needless to say, we wasted tons of money and time to see this vehicle and didn't purchase because of the very sketchy practices of this dealership and their inability to cooperate with us on making the purchase after submitting a deposit that they will refuse to give back to us even though the vehicle was nothing like the pictures they posted. read more

Last week I purchased a phenomenal 2007 Nissan Pathfinder LE with a 100k miles on it, for only $6000! I went to this location to look at a 2007 Subaru for 4K it looked good in the pictures and what not so I called and they said it was still available so we took a 40 minute drive to go check out the car. The first red flag was when they grabbed a battery and jumper cables than after it started to smoke like really bad from the oil. Within the first week this "car dealer" had to flatbed the car back to "bandaid" a problem, it's now been 4 months, and we've had more problems than I have time to mention, two of which were major and more costly. I would not call this a used car lot, I'd call it a few other things. They are all about money with no care or concern for their customers. People pay a lot of money for cars and rely on dealers to guide them. When someone may not know much about cars, I feel they take advantage of that. I'd definitely suggest bringing your OWN mechanic to look before deciding to buy as if their mechanic actually did clear this car I'd be afraid of what else he'd claim is safe to drive. These people are the kind that give used car dealers a bad name. I called twice about a Nissan Cube they had on the internet, then drove 40 miles to see it. At first the guy tried to steer me onto a different car, but when I insisted on seeing the Nissan, he told me the car would need to be jump-started. So, something wrong with the charging system perhaps? he didn't say. Then I asked about taking a test drive, and he said that he would only let me drive it if I was going to bu, because it needed a new clutch, which he could have mentioned over the phone and saved me an hour trip each way. He insisted that a replacement clutch wold only be about $400, which I knew was wrong (it turns out to be over $1000). But since they had the car priced $2500 under market, it would still be a good deal for me. Then I asked him why he hadn't replaced the clutch and just raised the price, and he said he didn 't have the time yet. Since the car had been sitting unsold on his lot for a month, I thought that was a little hard to believe. Obviously there was something seriously wrong with the car, and he didn't want put any more money into it. The employees are very nice and they will work with you on several levels. We recently purchased a vehicle from them and it was in useable condition until we got it home to New York. At the dealership they know about the minor problems but not the big ones. They need to hire a new mechanic. Their mechanic told them our BMW had minor cosmetic problems....... not true!!! We have to replace damn near everything electrical. The air conditioner doesn't work, the heater started smoking last night as we were driving home, the ceiling came off and now the rotted insides of the ceiling falls on whoever sits in the back. There's a lot of problems but we're just going to take our time and fix it up correctly and we won't do business with them again. If you go take your mechanic with you. On Saturday, May 23, I visited this dealership and purchased a 2000 Nissan Maxima for $1900.00. I understood that the vehicle was 20 years old and I was purchasing it "as is", so I even thought if I put another $750-$1000.00 in repairs, it would be worth the 10-15K miles that I wanted to get out of it. On Tuesday, May 26, I took the vehicle to a mechanic for a diagnostic test to address any issues. What I wasn't prepared for was that I was sold a death trap. Not only were there 7 computer codes, the check engine light was conveniently disconnected as well as the passenger side floor rotted out, passenger side tire rod was falling off the card, driver side lower ball joint was falling out of the control arm and someone has sprayed painted the rot on driver side to "hide it". I was told that I was unable to get my money back or return the vehicle but instead get an itemized statement of charges to repair the vehicle and they would then take that same statement and have their mechanic look at it to possibly get better costs. What happened to your mechanic looking at the car before it was sold? Unwilling to provide a refund but willing to steal my money and lie about the condition of the car. It should also be noted that I purchased a CARFAX report that stated the vehicle failed NJ inspection in 08/2019. Based on the report, I don't see that the vehicle actually passed inspection in the report but the sticker on the windshield states inspected until 12/2020. In the state of NJ, a vehicle inspection is valid for 2 years so if the vehicle failed in 08/2019, how is there a sticker for 12/2020. As a dealership, one should either disclose the issues that the vehicle have in their entirety and not use a generalized statement that the vehicle is 20 years old and there will be some repairs that will need to be done. My son drove that car on a highway at a rate of speed of 60 mph with the tires being in an unsafe condition and not disclosed at the time of purchase. This dealership went to great lengths to lie what they were selling and should not be in business to rip people off. My son could have had a fatality on Sat and for that, ALL SHOULD BE AWARE and NOT GIVE THEM THEIR BUSINESS EVER!!!!!!!!! read more
