Hello! I'm Crystal. I took the teen classes from Mr. Tran when I got my drivers permit, back in 2017. Thanks to Mr. Tran, I ended up passing my test with flying colors! He gave me all the education about how to drive properly, and paperwork for me to study as well truly helped. Now I'm returning to him with my boyfriend who had recently passed his permit test, but had an issue on his first attempt with the behind the wheel test. Great service. I had him teach me driving school in 2006 like 12 years ago. I always call him to ask question about something and he was always there to answer it. I called him few years later and I told him I'm sending customer to him family members and he took care of them I just call him few days ago and he knew me few years after talking to him in 2012 5 years later he still remember my name and all my family members that went to him. The only reason why i picked this driving school was because it was the cheapest I could find. So i made an appointment for after school...he never showed up and i was waiting for him for a good couple of hours. then he called and told me that he cant make it so we rescheduled. the second time, he picked me up from my house. it was so sketchy because he has tattoos all over and he wears really weird shirts with demons and skulls and whatnot...im not really a judgmental person so i dont care about his appearance, but he looked very unprofessional. his car was a piece of junk. literally. I was afraid to go in his car. if you have strict parents, there's no way they would let you go with him, because he makes a really bad first impression. So we get in the car, he asked me a couple questions, like "you know how to drive, right?" and i said no because it was my first driving lesson. he kept telling me not to worry about anything and just make sure that i dont hit anyone or any cars. I didnt learn anything from him. after an hour of driving around a really bad neighborhood, he told me to park in the Raley's parking because he needed to use the bathroom. I was honestly really scared. so i kept my phone on me just in case. so he went to the bathroom and came back after 20 minutes. we hopped back in the car and started driving around a little bit more. overall, he made me feel very uncomfortable by making fun of me and saying random things. I laughed along with him because i wasnt sure what he's capable of if i made him mad so i kept calm. he is very uneducated also. if you really want to pay less money for your behind the wheel classes, find some coupons on groupon or amazon. i found one on yelp for bond driving school. read more

He was very professional and told my son what to except on the driving test and the top 3 reason why he would fail. I don't understand the negative reviews. Hieu was extremely friendly, courteous, responsible, and flexible. He's a bit of a free spirit, and maybe some people prefer someone a little more buttoned-down, but he developed a very good relationship with me, my son, and his mom. We had a bit of a scheduling crisis at the last minute, and Hieu was willing to adjust his schedule and give my son his final lesson just in time to take his behind-the-wheel test, which he passed with flying colors. He came highly recommended and I will recommend him to others. The fact is, my son passed his test the first time, the price was right, and overall it was a pleasant experience. Personally I took this school for written and behind the wheel. I never had a problem. I originally took him because my older sister did. And my little sister tool him because I did. And I also recommended my friend to take him and I also had other friends that took him as said he was fine. I had taken him in 2007/2008 one of those years I don't quite remember. He never took bathroom breaks with me personally. He alway arrived on time, and he was easy to reach. Even to this day, I see him time to time. It quite interesting and he remembers me, except he mixes my name up with my sisters or some random name. I personally don't know how he teaches now, but from what I experienced it was fine, and I passed my tests. read more

Of course when my son returned from his lesson, I grilled him about every single detail. My son said he was learned a lot and was felt more comfortable behind the wheel. Mr Tran is the best driving instructor i have ever had (Other than my grandfather) he explains everything you need to know is very nice and tells you what will be on the driving test has you practice everything multiple times and is very patient . i did the dmv short program and he helped me to get pass my driving test. This is the only driving school that I will recommend as i have been to others and he is by far the best instructor. read more

If you want the cheapest guy in town use this school, but it's true you get what you pay for! I used mr. Tran and every single time I had an driving appt. I'm waiting and he has the nerve to call me at the last second literally and says gotta reschedule ad always has an excuse! Honestly, Mr. Tran was funny. I signed up for lessons during the summer of 09. Yes he is funny and make a lot of jokes but heres the thing he was unprofessional. It's one thing to make jokes but don't be late. I'm the type of girl who likes to make jokes and make people laugh but being late like 20 minutes late is just not acceptable. One thing also unacceptable is taking long bathroom breaks like wtf. One time it took him 20 minutes wtf. A bathroom break is fine but not 20 minutes that cuts my lesson short. Another lesson after driving around for 20 minutes he took me to the auto shop to check for a car alarm wtf that was not cool. I waited for 20 minutes like wtf. Cool as he is it still pissed me off. Like it's one thing to be chill and funny but it's another thing to waste people's time on the lessons we paid for. Another lesson my last one after driving around for 1 hour he took me to a tattoo place. It took him 30 minutes inside I was pissed. Idc how funny you are but when you can't be professional than I'm not giving you more than 2 stars. don't choose him. He may be chill and relaxed and may feel like driving with a buddy but that's all he is. he lacks professionalism. Trust me one can be funny and be professional at the same time.. Scheduled three days of behind the wheel training for my son with this business. Today was his first day with Hieu Tran from the school. As my son was on his driving test the driving instructor took it upon himself to remove the last few pages of our DMV paper work. Not a big deal you say? Well...an adult was with my son when he left with the instructor and why wasn't the paper work offer to my sons dad? Why didn't the instructor just suggest to leave those pages at home for the next day? Why didn't he just not worry about what papers my son had with him seeing as it was only a 2 hour class? Nope none of the above happened. I left a message asking for the return of my DMV paper work which included a copy of my receipt for the DMV fees I had paid and various person info. Hieu Tran returned my call to say he could not "find" my paper work and he did not know where it was. So i called him on it. I asked if he had thrown away my papers and he said ...yes. In this day and age of identity theft that was very inappropriate to do. There was an adult present to give the papers to or simply not worry about a trivial thing for an instructor. The decision to keep my paper work was taken away....acutally thrown away in a dumpster god knows where. Maybe I should hope it's in a dumpster and not being used by this company. Hieu Tran's option for me was to recover the paperwork by going to DMV and getting copies. Oh thank you can I please stand in line for hours to fix your mistake. I would reconsider letting your minor child go with this company. Needless to say I have cancelled the next 2 days of behind the wheel training with this company. At least this right was not taken from me. I'm not going to pay $40.00 an hour for someone to steal from me.
