Go to any Yelp page and scroll down to the section that says "Reviews that are not recommended" and notice how many reviews from brand new accounts there are. I chose Camellok because it was one of the only schools that doesn't inflate their rating with fake/bribed reviews. Thank you for your honest business practices! I had a behind-the-wheel lesson this March at a rate of $145/2 hours. My instructor Louie was straight-to-the-point, experienced, calm, professional, and reassuring. He drove to my house in an electric Ford sedan with a set of brakes/accel on the passenger side. We begun the lesson with him explaining a few concepts (braking, gears, honking, steering wheel, etc) with toy cars and flashcards. He then instructed me to begin driving which was terrifying, but he reassured me by emphasizing that he's taught a great number of students and that he was certain that I could succeed as well.

My daughter's first and second lessons were with Endy and he was great! My daughter felt very comfortable and confident after those two lessons. Her last lesson was with a different instructor and while he was good as well, there were a few things that made her uncomfortable, such as the instructor talking politics with her and grabbing the wheel to redirect her. I understand the redirection if it's due to safety, however this sounded like it was to direct her over towards the bike lane sooner and move into the next lane on the freeway, which could have been verbally communicated. Anyways, that's not the real issue here. The real issue is that I attempted to contact All Good Driving School to share the feedback of my daughter's last lesson. The phone number on their website is a text only number, so I texted asking for a phone call back. Their response was ''Good morning, our customer service is handled via text and Email only, but we would greatly appreciate any feedback you can provide.'' When I responded back that was unfortunate because customer service should be a personal experience and I would notate their lack of that for future needs or recommendations, they 'thumbs up' my message, passive aggressive much. They had no problem taking my money for all three driving lessons but can't even talk on the phone with their customers... super disappointing.

The instructor was kind and patient, however, always showed up late behind at least 20-45 minutes to every appointment and contact me at the last minute, so I never know until then. Moreover, my 4th lesson was cancelled at the last minute, even though she decided the appointment day and time. She ended up wasting my Sunday since she scheduled it in the middle of the day on Sunday. To make matters worse, the instructor provided feedback about my final lesson only after my behind-the-wheel driving test was already over‼ I informed her about my test day, but I didn't receive her feedback until after the test was over‼ This made it impossible to review effectively and rendered the feedback meaningless. As a result, I failed the test. Therefore I had to take extra lessons with another school. ※Update based on the comments below: I personally do not think this is fair‼ Was I treated differently than other students⁉ I didn't feel completely prepared because all lessons except the final one(DMV mock test) always finished earlier within 1 hour. Especially when a student specifically requests to work on their weaknesses. I took an additional lesson and asked to practice areas where I struggled, such as parking, lane changes, and merging into heavy traffic. However, you barely focused on any of these, despite my direct requests‼ Instead, you spent most of the time having me drive in a straight line, leaving me still uneasy about lane changes. I'm pretty disappointed that I did not receive the instructions as she mentioned below, or even the promised one-hour duration except for the final lesson‼

Amazing school; passed my driving test first try! The…read moreinstructors were super patient and allowed you to learn at a comfortable pace. They're informative, show you what's important, what to look out for during your driving tests, and any habits you need to either make or break! What really helped me the most was their optional payment to pick you up an hour before the test; Although it costs a lot of money to do so, being able to drive through both the DMV routes will help you know what to expect & to ease into driving right before the exam! Most importantly, I will repeat again, the instructors are very patient. In just four lessons and a total of eight hours, I was able to cover all basics thanks to this amazing driving school! If you want to learn driving and have a good shot at passing, I absolutely recommend this. Believe me, I was the least confident about my driving abilities before this, but I was able to pick it up very quickly!

She would sometimes arrive late to pick my daughter up and occasionally drop her off before the lesson was supposed to end -- at one point, about 30 minutes early. My daughter also had a little difficulty understanding her because of her accent, though she was always kind and patient. On the positive side, this was one of the cheapest driving schools we could find, and in the end, my daughter did get her license.
