I don't know how these people can have any less than five stars plus. I wish I could give them a tip somehow. I finally got tired of the hotel's spotty laundry facilities, with broken washers and dryers and people's dirt and fingernails and pet hair! So I decided to start using their send out laundry service, absolute cleaners. My clothes always come back sparkling clean, crisp, well folded--think Marie Kondo. These people fold better than I could ever think to do. They put small papers in between. They wrap the dry cleaning stuff in plastic. They really are meticulous about how they pack the laundry. I dropped off a vintage suede jacket at Absolute Cleaners on March 20, 2024 for professional cleaning. They told me they would need to send it off to another location to be cleaned properly and that it would be 4-6 weeks before it came back. In late April I started to call them asking for a status on my jacket as the 6 weeks had passes by and they didn't return it. They told me sometimes it takes longer and they would call me with an update later in the day. I have either called or stopped by their location in Long Island City every week since then asking for an update or an admission that they had lost my property only to be met with the same excuse that they needed to follow up. It has now been 13 weeks and no accountability or remediation has been done and I'm met with unsupportive and confrontational push back every time I call to ask about my property. I want them to be held accountable so this doesn't happen to anyone else. We entrust a Cleaners business to take care of our belongings and they often have sentimental value. This business has been careless and disrespectful and after giving them the opportunity for weeks to remedy this, I would like to escalate this for others to see. read more

I've used Absolute a few times and they are always fantastic. Today's delivery reminded me that they deserve a 5 star review for how excellent their service is. They do not miss a detail! I attached a photo of one of my shirts that they cleaned. They stuffed the sleeves to maintain the shape. Are you kidding me? That's elite service. This is the pinnacle of quality and convenience. I drop my dry cleaning at the front desk of my apartment building and they pick it up. It's returned to the front desk and they charge my card on file. Doesn't get much easier than that! Love this local cleaner! They do a wonderful job with any of your clothing needs from shirts, pants, and general laundry. I particularly appreciate how friendly and service oriented the staff are. You are greeted with a hello and smile and you can see how hard they work as the cleaning is done in house. Prices are reasonable with your clothing returned in a timely manner. I made a mistake of falling for the first timers discount and used this cleaner. They ask for your credit card info ahead of time and boy don't they go to town with it. They charged me $6.5 for each cotton regular botton down shirt, even though their price list says $1-2. They ringed it up as a "women blouse". The first time I didn't realized I was scammed because I had many pieces and got the first timer's discount. The seconf time, I was shocked how much I was charged for a few pieces. So I went over my receipts and here it was. They charged me whatever they wanted shamelessly, despite the price list they provided me in advance. The quality of their service is okay to good. But the absolute lack of moral will keep me away for ever. read more

This cleaner picks up and drops off my dry cleaning from my apartment complex within just a few days: the ultimate in convenience, for a fairly reasonable price. But when a bag of expensive clothes, including my favorite jacket, wasn't returned, I was dismayed to call the cleaners and hear that they did not have it. The building concierge said the same and a second call was fruitless. I was quite angry, but before the end of the day, the owner, Barry, called to apologize and say the items had been found, mysteriously without the ID tag that had been on the bag when I dropped it off, but the important thing is they found it and he promised to deliver the items soon. I don't know who made the initial mistake, but anyone can make a mistake. I very much appreciate the fact that the items were found and owner reached out: that goes a long way on my book. I started using them around 2019, for the period that I used them they damaged Four of my clothes. I gave specific instructions to them for the care of my clothes they never follow the instructions. As a business strategist along with 19 years in the hospitality industry; I am not easily impressed. However, I am blown away by Absolute cleaners. When I initially called I requested to have the driver come up and pick up my laundry, bc I have a neck injury. Usually, this is not part of their service they leave in ur lobby with concierge which is still amazing. Issue w me right now is 3 herniated discs in my neck. Within 5 mins a very sweet girl called back by the name of Marisal and assisted to this request. I was so grateful. I am extremely meticulous & OCD with my things and requests. Sometimes annoyingly so she was calm and dealt w my requests respectfully, calmly and was assertively. The prompt response was impressive. Absolute offers Same day pickup within a few hrs 80lbs of laundry was picked up. They do next day drop off too for wash & fold and dry cleaning. And delivery it to ur home . Phenomenal business concept. Impressive to say the least! It is worth every penny. Esp for the convenience. I was unaware that throw blankets are a separate additional charge. When Mike called to explain; I was not pleasant w him and to be honest was not going to use them permanently (considering I had a lady who did my laundry private as well as being irritated ) UNTIL he dealt w my irritation and was kind enough to wash the throw as a pound price. I was blown away by him and Barry. Why you may ask; bc nothing in life is for free nor do owners care enough to help their customers on this level. Barry & Mike are extremely professional, kind, assertive & understanding. They will exceed your expectations by all means! This establishment deserves a 5 star review all around. The worst of the worst of the worst of the worst of the worst cleaner company ever in the earth. All my four suits that I have put here have shrunk completely and I can't wear them anymore. Once I let them know of the problem and they said they will fix it. Later, they said that they enlarged the suits and charged me $60 dollars for that. Wow, they messed up and said will fix it and charged me again? And when I tried the suits again, nothing changed and I visited here again and their final answer was they can't do anything. They said that kind of the situation is their first time? But I just read the others' reviews on Google and Yelp and some others had the exactly same problem? What did you guys do with my suits? Did you guys do real dry cleaning or just wash to save costs? You must know I can't wear the suits anymore (please do not say I can fix it by alternating like you guys said last time, I never trust you anymore and why do you guys even try me to do anything else in your store? No thank you). Now I have to either throw the suits away or send them to the original store in Korea that might take a look at the problem and fix it "PROFESSIONALLY." But I have to wear the suits for work everyday from 9am to 10pm from Monday to Friday. The worst of the worst of the worst cleaner in my life. I will never go back to this cleaner and please never put your suits here. The worst cleaner goodbye forever. I will tell everyone around me about this store to help them find another cleaner and will post about ABSOLUTE CLEANERS all the websites that I can visit as much as I can. They are by far the best dry cleaner and tailor in the area! I spilled red wine on an expensive white skirt. The owner, Barry, said he couldn't promise me it would get cleaned because the restaurant sprayed "wine out" on it to remove the stain. A week later, I picked up the skirt and it looked as good as new. I wouldn't trust anyone but Absolute cleaners with my clothes and alterations by Connie. I've been going there for over 15 years and never had any issues. They are real pros. read more

Wow my experience was the opposite of the other reviewers. We forgot about our dry cleaning and 9 months later (we were using an in building service that started and closed within a year) when we dropped off some other clothes they brought out 7 of my husbands shirts! I thought that was pretty good. They seem to do a good job and the tailor is very nice and good. read more

I recommend staying away from this cleaners based on my own negative experience. I had been using them to pick up and drop off my dry cleaning. One time they didn't bring back my clothes. When I called to say they forgot to drop off my shirts, they told me that they had nothing of mine to return to me. I asked them to search for it because I was sure they had picked up some shirts from me during the previous pick up and owed me some shirts. They never returned my call and I had to call two more times and kept asking them to search everywhere. Finally they found my clothes. If I hadn't kept following up, I never would have gotten my clothes back. I won't be using them again. read more
