Updating my prior review. I've had some good and some bad experiences with Absolute. They did an excellent job replacing our furnace, and matched the lowest bid I found from another company. Their quotes are always on the high end if you don't shop around elsewhere too. I've also been disappointed by their customer service after a recent negative experience working on a plumbing issue. After calling several times in a month to get my concern addressed, they did finally reach out and offer to correct this, but only after leaving a negative review. I'll consider giving them another shot to re-earn my business in the future. read more

tl;dr: since 2019, we have worked numerous times with Absolute to improve our home. Respectful folks who really emphasize quality service. Here's a list of the work we've done with Absolute: * 2024 - Nicholas and colleague whose name I promptly forgot - Shilily or similar, please accept my apologies - came to do duct cleaning for what was probably the first time in over a decade these ducts had been cleaned. Great work. * 2023 - Wayne showed up on short notice as my home office breaker kept tripping just for the fun of it, and he installed surge protection while he was at it. Fewer old-wiring fires for THIS house! * 2021 - Isaac and Devin came to install a Quiet Cool Whole House Attic Fan, and I almost look forward to warm weather more to use the fan than I do the actual niceness outside. * 2021 - Jovanny, Isaac, and Devin all came out to install a trio of ceiling fans in our otherwise-uncooled house, which are running in one direction or the other basically 24/7/365 * 2021 - Andrew came out to service our furnace which had gone out during the April cold snap. It was broken in a way that would've been paying ~the cost of a crappy furnace to repair a crappy furnace. Donald arrived a day later to install the furnace Andrew sold us, a nice midrange American Standard. * 2019 - Hector installed new 220V line for use with our EV charger. We had a problem with the unit months after installation, but Hector came back out to test and verify their work was not the issue - and he was right, it was the unit. He made it easy for me to reach out to the charger manufacturer with the details needed to expedite the resolution of the faulty unit. I'd highly recommend Absolute for work on your electrical box, wiring in your house, furnace installation, and other larger-scale jobs. If you just need a couple plugs or a ceiling fan installed, you might balk at the pricetag, and might consider looking to a local odd-jobs tradesperson instead. read more

I hired Absolute to do a complete sewer line replacement and above ground repipe in my duplex. I was quoted 4 days and its been almost 6 weeks and the job is not complete. They have lied to me, there are issues with the work, and now they are not returning my calls. They did not use drop clothes and ruined so many things. we were left without running water and toilet for 10 days. This has been an ABSOLUTE nightmare. That must be what absolute stands for. I have heard they have a new plumbing manager and several homeowners have been messed over. Patrick and TY are not communicative and straight up do not respect the homes or owners they work with. I would give Absolute Plumbing 0 stars if I could. I contacted them for an estimate, and one of their plumbers came to my home and provided a quote. I told him I was getting a few estimates before making a decision. He asked what price range I had been quoted, then came back with a price about $500 lower than the lowest estimate and said they wanted my business and could complete the work just two days later. Based on that, I hired them and paid for the work. After the job was completed, another licensed plumber inspected it and informed me that the work was not up to code. I immediately contacted Absolute Plumbing and asked them to correct it. They sent someone out who confirmed that the work was, in fact, not up to code. However, instead of fixing it, they told me the plumber who performed the work had allegedly done the job "on the side" and pocketed the money instead of submitting the invoice through the company. They claimed they had since fired him after discovering similar behavior on another job. Despite acknowledging that the work wasn't up to code and that the individual was their employee at the time, they refused to take any responsibility. They claimed that because there was supposedly no official contract or signed paperwork in their system, I was out of luck. They then told me it would cost an additional $5,000 if I wanted them to redo the work correctly. What makes this even more frustrating is that the plumber presented me with an estimate bearing Absolute Plumbing's company information, which I signed before the work began. The company later denied having any signed estimate and insisted they had no liability. I was shocked by the lack of accountability and remorse. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. If a company won't stand behind work performed by its own employee, customers are left carrying all of the risk. read more

They then rescheduled, and never showed up.- again. I spoke to several people, and no one could give me a straight answer. I was promised a follow-up call from a manager, and that never happened. We had a new AC unit installed last month by Absolute. Twice now folks have been out to "fix" it. Still not functioning. The first time the issue was poorly installed electrical wires- over the edge of the air handler instead of the holes made for this purpose-. This had worn away the insulation around brand new wires from the vibrations, I shudder to think of what could have happened in my attic if it wasn't caught. The tech said he'd be back in two days to put the attic hatch back on as he couldn't do it alone, so hot attic air just leaking into our house. No one came two days later and I was told by the customer service rep they didn't have record of this needing to be done. asked if she needed a pic of the gaping hot hole to our attic... My husband and I got the hatch back on ourselves after a scavenger hunt for the screws. The second time the issue was the tube from the air return was not connected to the air handler- seems bizarre if someone had just fixed it? Anyway maybe that wasn't the issue as now our AC has been running all day and it's still 80 in here. A new issue just now is one of the vents is now blowing attic insulation into our home. I never do reviews and here I am because this is so ridiculous and time consuming and EXPENSIVE. Do not recommend this company- are these reviews all bots? Beware: predatory company! Overcharges for basic services and says you have issues that don't exist. The tech charged me literally 5 times the amount for Freon, did recommend checking for leaks and said the furnace needs cleaning because there's caked on dirt and debris. I find out that when Freon needs to be added, there's most likely a leak so I called a different company, they tested and found the leak, repaired and filled the Freon for significantly cheaper and didn't see any caked on debris in the unit. Make sure to get multiple quotes and do your research. This company is garbage and should be exposed on the news. read more

I'm writing this review based on repeated poor experiences with this plumbing company, primarily due to a serious lack of communication and reliability. I scheduled an appointment with a service window between 8 a.m. and noon. Noon came and went -- no technician, no call. I had to reach out myself, only to be told, "Oh, sorry, we had an emergency call." Understandable once, but this exact situation happened three more times after I rescheduled. If this is how they handle basic scheduling and customer communication, I can't imagine trusting them to work on my plumbing. Emergencies happen, but failing to communicate -- repeatedly -- is not acceptable. I won't be using this company again. read more

Several calls to Absolute over a two week period, and no call back from a manager. I left detailed messaged each time I called, asked for a manager, and asked for the return call to come to my number because I signed for the work, and not to my senior mother. After two weeks of leaving messages about every 2-3 days, I finally get one of the Call takers to tell me that there was a manager still in the office and he put him on the phone. He tried to tell me that he had made a couple attempts to call back and that he had left a voicemail or two. I said it's pretty sad in this day and age when somebody lies like that because my cell phone records all incoming calls and voicemails. He stuck to his story and also said he called my mother's cell phone number which she told me was also untrue. Why would a manager say he had made a few calls back and that he had left voicemails when everyone knows an iPhone has a call log? In the end, I tell him that we paid $398, now that's what a senior discount and first time customer discount lol, for a 19 year-old kid to come to our house and work on a dryer vent for 30 minutes! When I originally signed for the work, we were told that the technician would go on the roof as well, which made the job sound more extensive. The technician did not go on a ladder and did not go on the roof, which made the job much simpler and the bill should have been reduced, but we had been billed the full amount within five minutes of the initial appointment with Nick Tafuri, who said we would be billed half upfront. $398 shut up on our bank account before he barely pulled out of the driveway. The manager assured me, they have the best equipment and highly experienced technicians, yeah, he sent a 19 year-old to our house who can't have a whole lot of experience at 19. The equipment looks like a standard vacuum type machine with a tank that held the lint, and a device that went up the vent with rubber fingers on it that cleaned out the vent. When I said the price was too high and that he never did go up on the roof as originally stated by Nick who came over to see the job, the manager finally agreed to refund $160. Have we not made this phone call we would've been billed $398 for 30 minute simple dryer vent cleaning. Beware this company! Overpriced, and extremely poor business to not ever return a customer's call to discuss, and then lie and say he tried a few times and left a voicemail! read more

Hiring this company was my worst mistake as a homeowner. They are extremely overpriced and provide poor customer service. Overpriced: I bought a fixer-upper two years ago that needed major updates--furnace, AC, electrical panel, water heater, plumbing, and more. Lacking renovation experience, I found this company through an online search and hired them for most of the work (thankfully not all) without comparing prices. I learned my lesson the hard way. I later discovered I had been significantly overcharged. Many reputable companies offer equal or better quality at far more reasonable prices. For example, they quoted a furnace installation between $7.5K (basic) and $12K (best). Another company later installed a comparable furnace (better than Absolute's basic option and equivalent to their middle option) for $5.2K. I also paid this company $500 for a simple electrical work, while another company charged only $200 for the same job. This pattern was consistent--their prices are often double or more than their competitors. Poor service: Despite the high prices, I continued using them because they included a two-year "free membership" as part of the furnace, electrical panel, and AC installations. However, I was only able to use their "free maintenance" once because they repeatedly canceled my appointments at the last minute. Since free maintenance isn't profitable, they clearly prioritized other customers and disregarded my time. As the only adult in my household and an hourly worker, I adjusted my schedule to be home for these appointments. Their last-minute cancellations caused me to lose work hours, and this happened many times. I eventually realized the "free membership" was simply a lure. They would come out "for free," then claim additional work was needed and charge inflated prices. Because they were already there, I often felt pressured to proceed. I finally stopped using their membership program and hired other companies--only then did I realize how much more ethical, reliable, and reasonably priced other service providers are. read more

I called Absolute plumbing when I found a ton of water on my floor. The guy did not find my issue but found several issues in my house for me to address. For this I am greatful. I agreed to have him fix the pipe under the kitchen sink which was definitely where the water came from. Also he changed the thermal expansion tank and installed a pressure reducing valve. My big complaint and reason I will NEVER use Absolute Plumbing again is he picked a number to charge me out of air. He didn't give an itemized receipt, just a receipt where there is a description. The total cost for the job ended up being $2174 which after doing my research and asking a friend who is a plumber in the area, that is extremely high! read more

Had maintenance contract with Absolute to service HVAC, electrical, plumbing twice a year. On recent maintenance visit A/C condensation line was found to be clogged due to "dirt getting into the system from lack of filter maintenance". Cost $329 to clean line which was not covered under contract (and seems a bit excessive!!). Was told filter replacement was not covered in maintenance contract. Seems to me that this would be a priority maintenance item! Technician comment on last visit 5 months earlier stated filter was "still clean" and not replaced. Needless to say we will be finding another company to do our maintenance from now on. read more

Don't hire this company! The technician wanted me to pay $491 upfront. I asked him what the electrical issue was, and he said, "I don't know yet." Wow! $491 before even diagnosing the problem! That on top of a $68 trip fee! Talk about unethical and unprofessional business practices designed to rip customers off! I told him that without a diagnosis, I would not pay him. I am 65-years-old and, over the past 30 years, have owned multiple rental properties that I have had renovated. I have NEVER in all those years told a technician to pack up and leave my property. Zero stars if possible. Paid them almost $4k to upgrade our back panel and to put in GFEs in the kitchen. They did not complete the GFE work and they upgraded the back panel incorrectly. We gave them a chance to fix the back panel and they did something that made it arc out which could have started a fire. As a result, I didn't have AC during the summer. They offered to fix it and I refused. They had a technician that had been doing shoddy work and they were going back and fixing that work (but only if you caught it). Absolutely Unethical is what they should be called. They were unwilling to refund us initially. They also charge you a high amount to come do an inspection before buying a house and you only get the money back if you complete the work with them. If your realtor recommends them, know that the realtor is getting a financial kick back. Do your own research and get your own electrician to come out. read more

I hope others find this review helpful. I was referred by someone to Absolute after trying to find a HVAC company that would install mini splits (heat pumps) on my condo. Initially my interactions with Absolute and Robin were good. I was impressed by how knowledgeable and overly friendly Robin was when it came to the initial planning and preparation of the install. I would have liked to have the compressor installed on my external wall, but I trusted the expertise and experience of the Absolute and Robin, and we agreed on a rooftop installation. Everything was going well until I asked about rebates on the mini-split installations. My first strike against Robin is that he didn't mention any rebates, and I had to prompt him to help me with this process. 2 of the 4 rebates (state of CO and Xcel) require the HVAC company to be part of the rebate process. Robin did get back to me with rebate information and adjusted the price accordingly after I requested that the CO rebate be applied. He also sent an email advising me that a $1,500 city of Denver rebate was available. This is a strike I could look past, since Robin was timely and professional when helping me navigate rebates. My second strike was when Robin told me that the city of Denver heat pump rebate had expired. Although it was not his direct fault that this rebate expired, it was a difficult pill to swallow since he was the one that found the rebate and offered it to me in the first place. I asked him if he was able to go down on price for the installation due to this, and he very firmly said there was nothing he could do. This is the point when the initial positive customer service started to shift. I found his responses to be blunt. He said something to me like "you're already getting a really good price" and "tariffs are going to increase the price soon". I didn't feel it was appropriate to use such language when I was merely asking him to reach out to his boss to see if there is anything he could do. This is also something I decided to look past, because I was so far in the process of getting these installed. The third and last strike came down to the actual process of accepting the proposal and lack of price transparency. After a phone call with Robin about finalizing the proposal and securing financing and the deposit I was ready to accep. I clicked the link in an email he sent regarding the pricing, and saw that the price was $31.4K, which made sense to me because the previous proposal without the $500 CO rebate was $31.9K. I made sure that every line item for equipment and service was correct, and accepted the proposal which included a digital signature. From the initial webpage to the final page showing that I had accepted the proposal, the price showed $31.4k, and for my records I screenshot the whole process. Six days later, I had a call with Robin to discuss logistics of the install once again. He emailed me a copy of the proposal I had signed, and I noticed the price had jumped to $32.5K and it included my signature. I thought to myself that this had to be a mistake with the system they used to sign the proposal. I told Robin about this discrepancy and his reaction was very unprofessional. He told me that there was no way that he would be able to do it for the $31.4k, and that he has the proposal I signed for $32.5k. I told him I would text him the screenshots of the proposal via the link I used to accept it, and we could have another phone conversation about it. After sending him the screenshots, we talked on the phone again. I merely asked him to escalate the lack of consistency between the weblink portal price and the document he sent me, to try find where there was a potential problem. I also told him I don't think it is fair that I pay $1,100 more after I had done exactly what he had advised me to do using the web link he sent. The following phone call with Robin was incredibly odd, personal, and unprofessional. He said things like "You are putting a gun to my head, and I think you are going to write a bad review if I don't honor the price", and "I don't think my company is a good fit for you". He also begged me on the phone to forgive a mistake, to which I replied this is a very expensive mistake to forgive. I ended the conversation telling him that I would like him to figure out why there is a difference in price. I also told him that either way I would escalate this situation because I don't want other customers to be affected in the same way I was. Two days later I received a call from him that became incredibly heated. I told him that I'm not blaming him personally for this difference in price, but that I need him to help me get to the bottom of it. After his pleas and manipulative sales tactics, I told him I would like to speak to his manager to try to find a solution, and that I would prefer to push the project back 2 weeks. He said that that his company is not a good fit for me, and hung up. read more

Very deceptive pricing practice bordering on bait and switch. They say it's $69 to come out but the tech makes you sign a form for $158 before he even looks at anything. When I argued and said they didn't explain that on the phone when i booked, he admitted they do that on purpose. When I asked on the phone if i could use the online coupon, they said, "Sure just tell the tech" but the tech said "that doesn't apply to this service". In the end he fixed my problem but not before he tried three times to sell me the subscription package. When I asked if it would have covered anything he did that day, he said no. Unreal. read more

Omar did a great job updating my electric plugs and installing my Ring doorbell and floodlight cam. He is very efficient and courteous.

This all starts 4 years ago when we bought the house. When we did our inspection we were told that we had aluminum wiring on some of the outlets. And they would need to be changed sooner than later with updating the electrical panel. It was on our list of things to but other stuff just got pushed ahead of it. So come the past 2 weeks. We started using a space heater in one of our rooms. And each time we used it we would smell plastic burning. We thought it was the space heater. Come come to find out after moving some stuff around it was the other outlet in the room that was burning and melting the outlet and wires. Good thing we caught it when we did. So on Tuesday, March 9th we called 3 electrons companies. One was out of business, another couldn't get out until Thursday and then Absolute could send somebody out in a couple of hours to check the situation out. They sent Jeremy. Jeremy was very friendly and attentive the entire process. He explained things thorough and what the best options were. He explained he just fix just 1 outlet but there would be no warranty on it. He explained that going through the entire house and putting Alumiconn Connectors on all outlets that were aluminum and replacing/upgrading the electrical panel was the best option. Yes, it would be pricey but it would be worth it. Cause we didn't know at the time but there was another outlet that was already melting the wires inside the wall and could of started a fire at anytime. So we scheduled the next for Jeremy to come back out and replace the electoral panel and put Alumiconn Connectirs on all outlets and switches that needed it. He came with 2 assistants who's names were James and Brandon. Both very professional and attentive. They all wore masks and gloves inside our house and cautious of our dog. The work was very good. It did take all day but they were replacing and fixing a lot. The experience was great. Again, they explained everything that was happening. Will definitely hire them again. Everybody was very professional. They got their work down and there wasn't a lot of down time or just hanging around. From start to finish a great experience. The facts: I knew I had to pay a flat fee of $68 for an inspection. But I was not told BEFORE the task was accomplished how much the repair would cost. I assumed he was still evaluating the situation. He was here for 55 minutes and charged me $485 without telling me previously. Not only I was charged an outrageous amount of money but the heat is barely working. I emailed with a complaint, they told me they would call me. They never did. Unethical business. Still can't go above 3 for reasons for original review. Scam alert - VASTLY overcharged. These guys seem SO professional when you first talk to them. The phone staff is very polite and responsive and proactive. And, my technician Hector was very nice and prompt. But, they really are scamming people. I was quoted $450 for a ceiling fan install (I already paid for the fan myself) and, after 3 hours of (very good) work, then presented with a bill double that. Guys, that comes out to over $300 per hour! In addition, I asked for two drivers/transformers to be replaced to fix some under-counter lighting, and they quoted me $978 to replace two drivers. After the debacle with the ceiling fan, I decided to order the drivers for myself (that simply plug into the wall). The cost for all the parts (2 drivers)? $19.98. So they wanted to charge me $978 for purchasing $20 in parts, and plugging them into the wall. How can a business have no ethics to do this to someone? This is a very dis-honest business. Buyer Beware To their credit they do have great customer service. That's about it. They have just acquired Better Plumbing and I had them out to repair a few sink drains whose pop up functionality failed. They wanted $800 to replace 2 drains pop ups. They would not give me the part number they were proposing to use so I could look up the price. Turns out the parts were $37 total. So they wanted $763 in labor costs for a job that took a different plumber 45 minutes to fix for $200. I even texted to clarify and this was definitely the case. I thought I was missing something because the price was so outrageous. When I asked if labor was $763 for the job and how that was possible Deshaun said they have said pricing for a specific jobs and there's no way to do time and material. I called and left a message for a supervisor, and he never bother calling me back which tells me everything I need to know. I won't be using them again for work and I won't be renewing my agreement with them for maintenance, etc. So disappointing. read more

With so many A/C installation companies to choose from, I suggest going in a different direction than Absolute. Despite solid customer service before our installation and since thanks to Chad and Andrew, we had numerous issues with our new A/C installation as highlighted below: - Condensate pump emergency shutoff power not connected/installed to new interior A/C unit - Condensate drain line not routed into washing machine drain - materials (piping, copper, zip ties) left for self-install (see photo) - Thermostat backplate not installed, thermostat installed with only 1 of 6 screws needed, thermostat installed crooked despite having a built-in level on it - Large hole left in wall around new thermostat - needing third party drywaller to patch (see photo) - Tamper-resistant refrigerant locking caps not installed per code on exterior A/C unit - Old condenser pad not disposed of and left outside next to unit - Gutter drain removed for placement of exterior A/C unit and not reinstalled Should you choose to have Absolute install your new A/C unit, my wife and I hope you have a more thorough job done then we did - especially given the significant cost of such a system being installed. read more

We called Absolute for a few small jobs. The technician came out, looked at the jobs and then went back to his truck for pricing. Before he even gave me the pricing for my jobs, the tech was trying to sell me on other jobs as well as an annual membership. I told him I don't want any of those things. When he finally gave me the individual prices, they were far more costly than necessary. Price to diagnose (not fix) a broken door bell = $393. Price to replace one light fixture in the basement = $393. Price to install smoke detectors which I provided = $884.25. Look at the other 1 and 2 star reviews. They all say the same things. I can't speak about the quality of their work because I told them no thanks. But if you want be upsold and overpriced--you may like working with Absolute Electrical. read more

AC went out on Thursday and they were able to come out on Monday afternoon. The found a bad capacitor and charged 580 to replace. Repairman then talked me into replacing the hard starter kit for 638. I then found the part was around 50. It took less than 30 minutes to replace. Scheduled an AC service appointment weeks out to have it canceled by Absolute on the morning of the appointment. Kicker: It was at the cancellation phone call follow-up that I was finally informed that Absolute doesn't even service the type of split level AC I own. Absolute garbage! read more

So we recently bought our first house, very exciting, but as we are trying to get more things done we are realizing that the previous owners were definite DIY'ers but not in a good way. We recently bought a fancy thermostat but when me bf and his friend were unable to get it installed we had James from Absolute Electrical Heating come out and try to do it for us. He was incredibly professional and I really appreciated his honesty! We knew from the inspection that our furnace was 20 years old and would need to be replaced within the first 6 months but what we didn't know was the absolute rats nest of wires down there by it! Some weren't even attached some were halfway cut (probably not safe) some soddered (is that even the right word) together. Basically a poop show if you know what I mean. James was straight up with me; and was like look if you want me to do this I can, it will be about $700 but when you replace your furnace in the fall you're going to have to cut all these wires and start fresh anyways, so it it completely up to you! I appreciate that honestly instead of just trying to get a job he values the client and tries to save you unnecessary expenses! We will 10000% be coming back to Absolute Electrical for electric needs in the future due to James honesty and professionalism. First off the work was fantastic. They had a few techs come out while diagnosing and fixing my AC. Everyone was super friendly and I learned a bunch about my system. Found out later they charged us for a service plan without permission or even telling us about it. Finally spoke to the owner via phone (after we reported them), who repeatedly lied and attempted to manipulate me. Ugh. Just so slimy. read more
