If I could negative Stars I would. This company is a total bait and switch rip off. Told me that they would come and diagnose my front door problem for $25. When he got here he then tried to charge me $55 more just to remove the lock and see the issue. He then told me that if he could fix it he would charge $195. If it was not fixable, he would charge me $330 to install a new one. I sent him packing.. so very upset. Such a rip off. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Total waste of time and money. I just hired a very nice honest locksmith from yelp that had 5 Stars and no negative reviews. He came and fixed my problem for $60. read more

I had lost my car keys. These was the one with the remote entry. The young man took my info and even took a picture of my keys to make sure he got the right one. That same day his partner came to my job and was able to reprogram my key. Both young men were courteous and efficient. I have already recommended them to my friends. read more

The week was going so well. A long vacation in Hawaii and early flight to make it back from Thanksgiving. Great Service! I was having a terrible morning, I had lost my keys and I called my insurance and they directed me to Absolute Locksmith. They were great on the phone, came within the hour they projected for ETA. Ben was efficient, friendly, and helpful. He did his job well, and quickly! I lost my keys and couldn't find my spare either. I was stranded on a rainy day and they got someone to come out with in 10 minutes, the service attendant Ben was very fast and knowledgeable, he even recommended that he could make me two keys since we were reprogramming the car with new keys, something I probably wouldn't have thought of until later. Their prices were very fair and I didn't have to get a tow to them because they come to you. I would highly recommend absolute locksmith to anyone I know. read more

I locked my keys in my trunk and called to have them come out to unlock my door to access the trunk release button. Eric the technician was very friendly and courteous.....I didn't wait more than 35 min for him to show up which I thought was a bonus. The pricing was little inconsistent but I paid and voiced my concerns to Eric, he said he would let the office know and apologized for any confusion. A couple of hours later I received a call from Lilly one of the owners apologizing for the misinformation that I received. She was very calm and had a great customer service attitude. We talked about the situation and she decided to refund me back some of the money that I spent. I'm a fair and reasonable person and when dealing with a business I would expect the same treatment. I believe Lilly and Eric are why they have excellent reviews. Thank you Lilly, I would have no problem referring you guys to other customers! read more

Needed key copies made for our office. Even though I saw the poor reviews on Yelp, I took it with a grain of salt (they were the only locksmith in the area) and decided to call them before attempting to meet them in person. Spoke to two people and they kept putting me on hold to "double-check" on my questions (can you make this key, what do I need to bring for proof of office verification, etc). In the end, I was not impressed with their customer and phone etiquette, and they did not have the key blank to make the copies I needed in the first place. Onto the next!! read more

In the midst of moving out of my rental and into my new place, I hadn't thought about getting copies of the keys made until AFTER I had moved out. Luckily, my new place is owned by my boyfriend's parents who do not need to have the key (it's a guesthouse), so I had time to make copies. On one of my last trips to the old place to grab some last left over items, I made a stop at their small (tiny but mighty!) location here in the plaza. I had 2 extra copies made on the spot in less than 5 minutes and it just cost 2 dollars. Nothing better than that. I know who to come to anytime I need keys made on the spot. read more

I would rate them ZERO stars if possible. My review is almost identical to P J's. Lock smith shows up after being quoted 29.99 to open the bedroom door. He spends approximately 10 seconds to pick the bedroom lock (a kwikset- possibly one of the easiest to pick), and says "This isn't going to work, we need to drill it out". After disagreeing with that, he pulls out a foil looking thing, scratches up the door jamb, and says nope, have to drill it out. Unfortunately there was a dog locked inside this room so they preyed on my wife's lack of knowledge regarding locks. $120 later we are left with a drilled out knob, scratched up doorjamb. I called Absolute for a simple re-key, and if that wasn't possible a new cam lock install. The technician was wearing an Absolute Locksmith shirt but the receipt says 24/7 Locksmith. ??? Anyways, I was taken to the cleaners!! Don't use this company!!! The guy on the phone said it would be a $25 Service Call charge plus any extra. Well, the tech charged me $120 just to remove the old cam lock (about 10 minutes of labor), and then he charged me $95 for a new cylinder (cam lock)!! I can get a new cam lock at Home Depot for less than $5!! A nearly 2000% mark-up! Then if that wasn't enough, he charged me another $79 to install the new lock (another 10 minutes) Lesson learned. read more

I DO NOT recommend this company. I called them to fix a lock that turns out was not broken. However, they sprayed W-D 40 inside the lock and got it all over my inside wall. I was charged $140.00 for this!! The service man was not nice at all! I called the manager and he told me that the service usually costs much more. I guess he thought I did not know any better. I felt scammed and taken advantage of. I was left with the clean up. After additional follow up calls, I was refunded $40.00. So, $100.00 for W-D 40 and a lesson learned. Check reviews carefully. (not just the ones you see upfront), before making that call. read more
