Ben was great over the phone. He talked me through my problem I was having. Had a solution and backup solution in case the first didn't work quite right. Then scheduled his visit the following week. On the day of service he communicated well with arrival times and was within his window he promised. He then got to work quickly taking apart the old door and installing the new lock. The prior install was poorly done but he was able to salvage the current state and work the new lock and handle on without major frustration. While the lock works and I am 100% satisfied with the toggle action, it isn't perfectly how he knows it can be ( due to the poor install) and adjusted for a bit to get it better. He has great attention to detail, excellent communication and on time. I would recommend him to anyone else looking for locksmith services. read more

This review was almost going to be a 1 or 2 star review. I had an appointment scheduled for Ben'z Locksmith to come rekey our new house. They were incredibly responsive and I had something scheduled the next day. Cut to the day of and they were supposed to be there within the window and no one showed up. I called the office and left a message. I ended up responding to the e-mail to let them know someone never came. 10 minutes later he called and was sincerely apologetic. I know it's very easy to assume it was a fake apology but his actions definitely showed otherwise. He came by the same day, got my lock rekeyed and was gracious enough to give us a discount for the trouble. Had an issue with one of the technicians jobs and owner was quick to refund me and make sure I was satisfied

It was a normal Saturday morning until my husband asked me I had seen his keys? Apparently, he had been quietly looking for them literally everywhere, all morning, with no luck. I was worried about getting anyone out to change all our locks on a Saturday! I checked Yelp and found 5-Star rated Ben'z Locksmith. I called and at 3:00pm Gal arrived as promised. Wow! In less than an hour we had a couple of new locksets that needed to be replaced anyway, the rest of our locks reset and all the key copies we needed. The total cost was not as expensive as I thought it might be. That said, peace of mind is valuable and we got that back, really fast! Must add that Gal is very professional, highly skilled, altogether great to do business with. Thank YOU! How should I say this in a less offensively way...This guy a is professional thief. I called and scheduled a quote, he came out to check out our main door and sliding door. The main door with a smart lock was quoted $690. I'm not sure which smart lock brand he was ordering, but when I asked for service cancellation, it ended up costing me 35% restocking + shipping. My boyfriend thought we needed the locks done the same day, which wasn't the case. My boyfriend ordered 2 Kwikset smart locks, sliding door lock, and another deadlock for $500. Service was better than Ben'z Locksmith and done quickly. Ben made $150 for a trip to check out our main door lock. This is good for 10 minutes of work kind of business. Would never recommend a thief to come to anyone's home. read more

I have a French door that was unable to lock. It is one of those doors that you pull up on the handle and then turn the deadbolt. I was told by two companies that it could not be repaired and a new door was required. A new door was going to run $8000. I called Ben and he answered immediately. We wanted a new front door lock. My husband was there for this on a Sunday and I wasn't home. Happy that Ben was available to come out on a Sunday evening to accommodate us from a far distance. The most important thing for me when hiring a contractor is trust. Both quality of work and knowing you aren't getting ripped off for services you don't need. Ben easily could have charged me almost $1000 for a lock set I didn't need. How would I know if the whole mechanism was broken or not. I had to trust him. He was honest told me it was fine but needed some maintenance, but it didn't need to be replaced. That is the integrity one wants when hiring a contractor. So I don't believe I gave him 5 stars.
