inept, unethical and spiteful. what culture do these people come from where it's acceptable to try and extort more money from a customer for a mistake they, themselves, made? they quoted me $200.00 for a key. two hours later the tech calls me from over an hour away in the wrong area (even though i asked them to call my cell once the driver was in route). then lilly from the office calls and tells me they can still do it for $575.00, if i like. this is at 5:00 on a saturday night. horrible way to do business. i called aaa and they had someone over in 30 minutes. what a waste of time dealing with these morons. ben: i spoke with jennifer and lily. Ben, It's 10 miles from Rancho Mission Viejo to my door. You sent the guy to San Diego because you didn't listen to my directions and were too lazy to call me once the tech was dispatched. So you and your team screwed up. Perhaps you should listen to the customer next time. This fiasco is a direct result of you and your team being inept. I had another locksmith out within 30 - 40 minutes after your team failed. Don't forget you still offered to come over at twice the price, what about that? read more

This company's service was excellent. I had spent the day with my family at Knott's Berry Farm and my stroller with all of our stuff was stolen. Wasn't the greatest experience. Explained my situation over the phone to get a quote and They stated it was around $95 for that job. Once the guy showed up, not only was he an hour and half late for the appointment, then told me the job was going to cost $145 plus $25 service drive fee? So $170 for the guy to drill out my lock old which took less then 5 minutes. I feel completely ripped off. I Don't recommend using them unless money and time is not an object for you. First call - paid close to $800.00 to have the front door to our company fixed. Bottom "skirting" came loose after 20 years. The skirting had been damaged and came loose. Issue was resolved (2 hours). Second call - top of the door came off the self-closing door mechanism within days of the first call. (Like having your tires replaced and then your muffler falling off...how the??) Technician came in - fixed it....but a few days later, door was off the self-closing door mechanism. Third call - was told on a Thursday that "he" would be on-site by noon. No show. Called Friday - was told he was getting off of an airplane in a few hours and would be there, and finished, by 5PM. No show. Monday - I called at 7:30 AM - left voicemail to that company that said: "Thank you for calling locksmith company..." (guessing he must have a few different company names)...anyway..got a call back at 7:45A stating "Ben" (caller ID said Hashalom, Meir) would be there in an hour...by 9 or 10am....ok...my math might be off...but 10A would be OVER 2 hours. So I "shook it off" and expected him there by 10AM. "Ben" arrives after 11AM. That is 3 HOURS after I was told 1 hour. Ben also told me this door (commercial door I found online delivered to me without a lock tumbler for $790.00) actually costs more than $2,000.00!!! I should have told him to refund us right there just because he thinks I am "stoopid" (misspelled to serve a point). This will be the THIRD visit...I guess the 800.00 was to cover three+ visits for our door at about 2 hours a visit. Ben loves his kitchen use designed step ladder...literally one you would use in the kitchen to say...clean the ceiling or reach the top shelf of a pantry. He also ground down (or I guess it should be ground up) the bottom of this "$2,000.00" door - instead of using the adjustments built into the hinges. I don't mind paying good for good work....but I strongly feel I paid good money for "poop" work...and a liar...and someone who feels that I, a person with 30 years of professional experience, 2 degrees, countless certifications and holding a high level position - is not "bright enough" to see past the BS this "guy" is shoveling. Next time - I'll order the door myself..spend an hour on YouTube - and replace the WHOLE FLIPPIN DOOR...for less time than I had to baby-sitting, calling, re-calling, baby-sitting...yeah, I think you get the point. Stay away from "Ben", Hashalom Meir, Absolute Locksmith in O.C. (probably services Riverside, LA and San Diego too). read more
