My car key broke off in my door lock. I went to the kiosk for Absolute Locksmith in the Albertsons/CVS shopping center off Alicia and Pacific Island around 4:50 PM and explained my situation. Since I had groceries in my car I live around 5 minutes away and they told me someone would call me in half an hour to fix the issue. Half an hour later I got a phone call from Ben the Service Manager and met him at the kiosk shortly. Ben was very professional and friendly and proceeded to extract the broken key piece from the lock. As I have many clients he informed me of the services that they do for commercial, residential, and auto. You want to use these guys for your auto as the dealers will rake you over the coals for lock services, fobs, keys, etc. Service price was reasonable given how late in the day it was. Ask for Ben as he is very personable and knowledgeable. I know when I get great customer service and he was one of the best technician's I have met after living in South OC for many years. Ben was our locksmith and arrived in less than 20 mins as promised. I lost the last "chup" e-key for my Lexus IS-250. Ben was fast, professional, has a $295 base fee, cost 1/3rd of the Dealet fee after tax, and almost 1/2 the other mobile locksmith Lexus Dransrship quoted $700 for to cut & prorgam key + $250 for the new key/faub + tax...and I needed to tow the car there, and arrive by 5pm (close @ 6pm). $1K+ for 1 key I called another mobile service (yellow pgs) that quoted $500 + rush "Trip Fee" to come in 1hr + tax, so total over $700 for 1 e-key, or almost double Ben's rate. I ended up having him make 2nd (backup) e-keys for only $195 for my other 2 cars. ive used Ben before to rekey my house S well. Wanted to say thank you for an incredible save! Went to a friends house last night for halloween party and locked myself out... Yes, i know, doesn't suit me. But it happened so what can you do? Looking around for a locksmith at 5am isn't the best thing to start the morning off with. Anyway, gor on yelp, got a few numbers and the only ones that actually picked up the phone like it was 4 in the afternoon was these guys. 20 min later james showed up, did a clean work with no chip an elctrical problems like evrybody else said it's going to be and sent me on my way. Dan answered the phone, I explained the lock out problem, he understood what might be needed and agreed to be meet me at the tenant's door in about fourty-five minutes. Within the hour he arrived, assessed the problem,and advised me of best possible solutions (very old lock, really needed replaced). Dan had the correct tools and a new replacement lock on his truck. Adjustments were required the next day, but after calling him on Sunday afternoon, and explaining the problem with closing the screen door (after installing the new lock on Saturday) he came right on out--no additional charge. This was a weekend call, and I was pleasantly surprised that there was no surcharge for the Saturday, and back on Sunday service call. We would readily call them again, if and when needed. read more

I woke up in the morning after working on a presentation for work all night long. Of course, I was running late when I realized my entire set of keys was missing. You can't imagine my panic and hysteria. Well, I called my girl friend who knows everyone and everything. She gave me the number for Absolute Locksmith. I called looking to have a transponder key made for a used car I had just purchased. Jennifer was fantastic in explaining the cost and different types of keys available. She helped set up a time for the next day, and called me the next morning to let me exactly what time to meet the tech at their office. I never thought it would happen to me. I lost a one and only factory car key in the pouring rain in a parking lot and the car was a friends to boot!!! I contacted Absolute by phone and spoke to Ben. I called the office and they shows up at the appointment on time. However, they quoted me some charges and when the technician came, he used scope creeping techniques and managed to change the estimate to twice as much. When I contested, he said, everything in the phone call is minimum and there is no maximum.
