Super nice guys. Howard and Robert came to my house to appraise a broken pipe under my house and scheduled a time around my schedule to come back and do the job the following week. A day before our appointment I received a notice that my street would be closed for possibly the entire day so I called Howard to reschedule. To my surprise Howard and Robert stopped by to see if the street was reopened so they could help us out and do the job sooner than later. I found this company after reviewing Yelp and I cannot express my level of satisfaction with Howard. I have been managing property for 20 years but this year is the first time we went residential. We had a toilet that had been giving us headaches for about 4 years with several companies coming out pretending to fix it, charging enormous rates, and when called back due to same problem, would go into a long story about the pipes needing replacement and no matter how many times they came out...we would have the same issue. Yes I am talking about Discount Plumbing. When we became landlords, we knew this would be the first big expense and within a month we got that dreaded phone call by our new tenants. With our reputation on the line we reached out to Howard. He arrived on time and called me when he was not able to pull his snake out of the toilet because something was blocking it. I was stressed but not Howard. He said he just needed to remove the toilet and would be able to get a better look. 2 hours passed and I got a call. In 2 hours, Howard was able to contact the county, have them come out and turn off the water, remove the toilet and discover a tiny wooden flute that was likely flushed by my 5 year old , 3 years ago. In addition he replaced the wax ring and other parts that were so rusted that a simple nudge or bump could result in a full scale flood. You wonder how much??? 211.00. That's it!!! He didn't call me every five minutes asking questions. He didn't look for reasons why he couldn't fix the problem, he just took control and took care of it like a BOSS. You can tell he takes pride in his work and not in it for the paycheck. I will never use anyone else and if you value your home or reputation, I recommend you do the same. I had a plumbing problem with my kitchen sink. I checked out several different companies both here in Yelp as well as the BBB. Narrowed the list down to 2, and Absolute Plumbing ended up coming out to unclog the kitchen drain and vent pipe. I placed a call and recording said they were closed on Jan. 2nd. I sent E-mail asking if someone could get back to me by 2:00 the next day. Well I was surprised to see that Howard the owner had E-mailed me back and said he could meet me after 2:00 the next day. I had asked him for price to snake drain and run camera thru line because I was having problems. Well Howard was Polite enough to call me back and tell me he was just leaving Lodi and he was on his way. Howard put camera in line and saw that there was a sink snake that had broken off in line and was all balled up.He then proceded to snake line and after a few trys he was able to pull out broken snake with some roots. He then ran camera thru again and line was cleared. When we were all done he made the bill out and didn't even charge me more for the extra work he had done. They completed a underground gas pipe repair that had a gas leak. The plumbers were professional and efficient on completing the job. PG&E came out and the repair passed their inspection. Our waterheater finally gave out. Looked through reviews on Yelp and decided to call Absolute Plumbing. Called in the late afernoon to ask for a quote. Howard replied within 10 minutes. I discussed my needs. After discussing, he quoted a price on a waterheater unit that was very competitive and actually beat the price of a unit (different brand) at the big box store. After agreeing, he indicated that he would come by at 0730 the next day to take measurments and determine what he would need. He arrived at 0730, promptly. He indicated he would come back in 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours, which he did. Not only prompt, but couteous and profesional. He finised by 1030. I am absolutely thrilled that I saw this company on Yelp. Howard (the owner) was so nice when I called and explained my problem. I had another company come out to fix this problem a few weeks ago (they had to come back twice in the same day because they couldn't fix it the first time) but the problem came back so I started to look for a new plumber. Thank goodness for Yelp. When I saw the wonderful reviews for Absolute Plumbing I called and made an appointment. Now I am not going to lie, I thought maybe these reviews were a little too good to be true....I couldn't have been more wrong....thank goodness. As soon as Howard arrived, right on time, he was very personable and listened to me explain my problem again and he explained what he believed the problem was and he went to work to fix it. In explaining the problem I mentioned that my bathtub was draining a little slower then usual that morning but I thought it was hair clogging the drain. The water the was draining from my washing machine was backing up and spilling out onto my floor. Howard tested the drainage after fixing the problem and it worked great. But as I was filling my washing machine with water to test it Howard went to my bathroom and fixed my bathtub, which drained great this morning. His pricing is very fair and reasonable (less then the other plumbing company used before). First off, these guys are OUTSTANDING! I have an old craftsman house (1926) and funky plumbing throughout. Recently, while trying to repair my backyard sprinklers, I broke the very old valve which turned on the sprinkler water inside the garage. That valve was entangled inside a mess of ugly piping that also connected the set tub and washer (three overall connections to the same hot/cold copper. I called Absolute Plumbing to come out and take a look after I took apart the wall and capped off the copper pipes. Howard was able to come out the very same day and give me a quote. The quote was very reasonable and he scheduled the appointment quickly. They just finished up the project and it only took them two hours to complete (way under my estimate). The work they did was just awesome on top of being just great guys. Very polite, very reasonable pricing, great work. I do a lot of research prior to subbing out work in my home; so I read all their reviews here on their Yelp page prior to booking and took the gamble. All these reviews were right on the money as these guys are great. Howard and his other plumber (I apologize for forgetting his name) came over on Tuesday to do a job for us. The problem was that it took a long, long time to her hot water to the other side of the house. Before we called Absolute Plumbing we had gotten an estimate from a different plumber. His estimate was $3000! We were floored by the amount. (We don't know if he just didn't want the job, or...I don't want to say it. Maybe he had some other procedure in mind, but he did not give us any options.) Absolute did the job for $395. They did the job quickly, cleanly and at a very reasonable price, and we now get our hot water within seconds. (They installed a small, electrically driven device -- like a pump -- on the hot water output at the water heater.) Howard and the other plumber were so friendly and helpful. Howard even told me how to set the hot water setting on a shower head, which I successfully did and saved money. In my book, Absolute Plumbing is absolutely the best plumber in town. read more
