This people don't have respect what means froze your account they just keep taking money from my account even with having a contract. WOW when you call, they never know nothing $90 without putting a step at the Sens 9 months ago.

Tried really hard for a long time to keep any gripes about this gym under wraps, as it's not so easy to find a 24/7 gym these days. However, the quality of the environment/vibe and the level of service goes down as the gym expanded to occupy the entire building. The lat pull-down and the high-row machines have been needing attention for several months. Several cardio machines have been out of order for months - one even has a "will be repaired by 04-11-2022" (two weeks ago!) sign on it. Mirrors were installed to only be cracked and broken almost immediately, mostly by people be careless with weights. To which, member NOT re-racking weights is a HUGE problem. 45 lbs weights leaned up against most anything, waiting to fall over and cause an injury. There seems to be a marketing to local high school sports players. So... you get kids w/out supervision behaving like kids w/out supervision. Going from area to area in gangs, running other members away from their own workout. Not wiping down machines. Increase of these types go together with increase in things becoming broken. Within the past 6 months, they stopped having an overnight staff there after hours. Then someone literally ripped the "night access" door off the hinges, so the key fob access hasn't worked in months and the door is just propped open overnight for "whoever" to go on it. There are ladies that claim they are going somewhere else from not feeling safe about that. There are two saunas that may or may not be turned on. If they are, knuckleheads don't use towels and the wood is thoroughly sweat-stained and nasty. Aside from the music being vulgar, excessively profane, sexist, and racist, it is so loud that it's not a safe gym environment. And you almost have to listen to it, as the building and the insulation made the entire place a big Faraday cage that doesn't allow cellular signals to listen to your own podcast or streaming music. They keep promising wi-fi for members, but keep moving the date back again and again and again. Locker rooms should be quarantined. Floor and showers covered in funk. Locker doors ripped off the hinges. Men's locker room door ripped off the auto-closing mechanism. People going in open-setting locker rooms and setting up cameras for posing while others are getting out of showers with no dedicated changing rooms. People posing in locker room mirrors with the locker room lights turned out... creepy vibe to go drop a deuce and someone is in there posing with the lights off. Catering to kids and Neanderthals led to signs going up all over the place. Things like "re-rack your weights". "don't flush paper towels" and saying they will cancel memberships if people continue to use the out-of-order stalls that are marked "out of order" People that bring this up all say they get different answers from different gym employees. But the result is generally saying a solution is this week. or next week. or the week after. And it doesn't come. They ask again, and the same answer of moving goal posts. The owner spams the internet with videos of how much of a businessman and entrepreneur he is while flexing photos of the vanity vehicles that he parks in the handicap spots at the front entrance, then giving business plan lessons using his 6-figure monthly profit as an example. Sorry, but it'd be truly impressive if there were photos of him in the gym with a toolbox or a plunger or a mop, fixing broken door and unclogging the plumbing and keeping the place clean. Can't find overnight staff? A real business owner would cover that shift himself until the position was filled. Otherwise, all these never-ending resolutions simply show no real mind for running an operation. Why waste money on gates for the roll-up doors so the blowing wind can bring in dirt and dust and more stuff that won't be cleaned up? So if you're looking at Absolute Recomp, go in with your eyes open to know what you're getting. It's OK that things break, but man-up and don't feed paying members a line about when things will be fixed or upgraded

No where in this message does it say 2-3 business days.

I love all the different machines they have and they have a decent sized cardio area, but I use my other gym mostly for cardio.

I've done the gym membership thing, doing HIIT on machines, but I wanted something more personal to ensure I got the results I was looking for. Strengthening my core, losing some weight and improving my overall health were my goals, and Chase has worked with me along the way to achieve that. I love the free-weight workouts, the one-on-one coaching to make sure my technique was right, minimizing risk of injury. And I know that Chase has cared about my overall health journey in personalizing my plan. This made working out fun and something I could look forward to. Even when working out at home, Chase provides my "homework" plan and has reviewed video of technique to keep me on track. I highly recommend!

Loud, messy, very "watch your step." The space itself is huge, which I loved, and the music hits just right. I took a women's group strength class with Jess, who was super kind, checked in on my knee injury, and offered mods when needed. Overall, solid workout. Not easy, not killer, just right down the middle. I'll be honest though... I was fully distracted by a personal trainer on the side absolutely wrecking her clients. Like hi, I want THAT workout. Clean bathrooms, booked easily on ClassPass, and I spotted Hyrox signs which got me excited. There's also a physical therapy biz inside, and both seemed busy, so clearly something's working. The vibe felt a little more quiet and low key than my usual energy, but I can see the community is there. All in, a solid 4 stars. Not rushing back, but I'd try another class... and maybe sneak into one of those savage one on one sessions next time.

After researching Yelp for a new gym, I took advantage of the "free workout" (read: sales pitch) and ultimately decided to agree to a 25 session package after some haggling. Unfortunately, NexGen just didn't live up to my expectations for multiple reasons: 1. The service marketed to prospective clients is not delivered once the sale is closed. The training plan is not personalized, not shared with the client and often delivered by trainers that are not familiar with the client and their goals. Further, the initial baseline assessment, sold as part of the package, is billed as a training session. By agreeing to the training package, you should expect a trainer (often the same trainer, but not always) to push you through a general workout which is not designed for your needs and goals. 2. The trainers operate as though they are on a shot clock rather than focusing on truly coaching their clients. I don't think that this is on the trainers since I got the feeling that there is more focus on cranking out sessions, turning clients, and ending on time (early) to ensure the next session isn't impacted. For a discount trainer, I would say that this is fine, however NexGen is charging a minimum of $75/hr, a price that should command elite service and attention. 3. Questionable sales tactics and marketing. This is really what moved me to write this review. I went back and forth a few times, because the trainers are good here, and the service offering may work for some people. That said, I think it's important to point out that it's not a coincidence that NexGen has all 5 start reviews. They offer free sessions for reviews 5 star reviews!! One session for Yelp and an additional session for Google and Facebook. As someone who relies on the objectivity and quality of these reviews and ratings, I am appalled by this offer and the amount of people (with very few reviews) who have fallen for the tactic. Beyond the review issue, I just don't believe the value proposition is there for NexGen. If I had to summarize this training facility, I would do so by highlighting that it operates using a franchise, plug-and-play business model. I believe this approach conflicts with providing high-quality services, such as personal training. I think the trainers are talented and capable. However, the services and price point are misaligned. My advice: Look around and if you decide to give NexGen a try, don't be afraid to negotiate a bit before you sign (# of sessions and price/session).
