Although the place was clean for the most part, the machines are so wack. I wish they had regular machines like 24 hour fitness. Even on the cable machine they have a limited amount of attachments. Also lots of machines where those ego lifters leave all their weights on. Gotta stop that, too! Overall I liked the planet fitness in highland village in Flower Mound. However I will tell you that the membership issues with these fitness clubs including planet fitness has not changed in over 40 years. When you when you go to cancel it always seems like there is a fee. I was paying month to month with no contract and then upgraded to the black membership. What was not transparent, was that when they upgraded me they switched me to an annual contract. So when I went to cancel I found out that I still owed a penalty from canceling early. The irony is is that when I was paying the penalty the sign right next to me said black membership for $24 a month no contract :-( read more

THIS PLACE IS CLOSED RIGHT NOW FOR CORONAVIRUS - 3/20 You really miss a thing when you don't have it for some time. It's been 1 week since I last went, and I sure feel slovenly. Most importantly, I just miss the place. The staff here is so kind. The overnight guy is a bit...strange...but I find the staff there about 6AM a joy. Jessica is amazing, most of all. Bright, even when she says "I'm so tired." The trainer (can't recall his name) is great, though I speak to demeanor - I haven't taken any of his classes. The place has ample equipment, and is always clean. Sometimes, about 6:45 (right around shift change) they need to fill paper towels, but so it goes. The other patrons are pretty great too. Regardless of the time of day I go, I see a lot of the same people. It's nice. Also, mad respect to PF for suspending dues while they are closed. I truly appreciate that. After going to this particular location for almost 1 year, I can say that it is top notch. read more

I was intimidated joining a gym but needed to for my health. My experience has been very good with staff. Always friendly and wishing a good morning. In addition to this what really made me feel good about my decision was, they continuously keep the machines, floors and bathrooms clean. I wish people would clean after themselves but at least I have assurance the staff is covering that & we have so many cleaning stations we can grab stuff and do it ourselves. Overall this is a great gym! The staff are always so kind! I usually go in around 4 in the morning and the gym is clean and picked up! It was bad for a little while with staff working out during their shift so you'd have to wait at the desk for help. One time a staff member was sleeping in a hydro bed. After months of contacting customer service and the club directly my membership was canceled. After 1 month of no charges, I was billed for 5 consecutive months. Again I am having to reach out to customer service and I am going to a lawyer to see what recourse I have. I have never stepped foot into that club and have explained multiple times that I did not authorize payments. They hide under the terms that say I needed to physically go into the club to cancel even though they do not have any signature from myself. I have asked to be refunded with no response at all. Do. I Visited this gym just to have a quick tour of it and see what the facility look like inside. Even though I did not decide to join I wanted to leave this really positive review for this place because the facilities were super clean, they picked up after the members if there were weights on the floor, the bathroom facilities were not bad, and the overall friendliness of the staff really wanna far away. My experience at LA fitness previously had not been the best so I was very skeptical about coming in here however it was definitely very homey feeling and not too big of a crowd either which is unusual. I do suggest this gym it is a little bit more pricey but it has good equipment and a fair share of cardio!! read more

This Planet Fitness is pretty new looking and most things are clean and nice. The staff is mostly friendly though one guy told me twice now that I look tired which is kind of rude. This 5 star review is solely for Jessica. I had a lot of back and forth on some information here and was being told the wrong things, and wasn't getting help with my account. I came in very flustered due to this being an ongoing thing, and Jessica was so sweet and polite the whole time- even kept a smile! Honestly the fact that this planet fitness has women clean the men's and men clean the women's is beyond me. Can't even take a shower because they take 45 minutes just to even clean it. They have the opposite gender clean them so that people are told not to go in (unless it's the women's bathroom.) They'll let the women go in when a man is cleaning. ‍fucking sexist assholes honestly. It's kind of fucking weird. And a lot of the time it just looks like the big guy here is just a lazy bum making her do all the work. Every time. I know it's a gym it's more than that lol. I am very frustrated. This is a national athletic club and they are unable to accommodate a guest and change the stations on the televisions so I can watch my favorite program while I do my cardio. The GM was at the club last week and they were able to accommodate me. However tonite, the GM had already left for the day and the Assistant Manager did not know how to work the televisions to change channels. It was very frustrating as it's hard enough getting myself up there. Want to be able to watch my shows. They have 30+ televisions! read more

I love the environment, the friendly staff and the multitude of options for different workouts on the app and different machines offered. My favorite is the 30 min circuit room. It helps me get a quick workout in to work the full body on a tight schedule. The staff has taken the sanitation practices very seriously and they're all wearing masks. I feel very safe. read more

However half the machines have been broken for weeks now and it sucks especially during busy hours to find a machine to use. This is the second planet fitness location that cant/won't adhere to their own corporate policies. The staff is very friendly and the facility is very clean. The one thing I want to mention as an opportunity for this particular location is that often when I come in the evening there is only one person working. Number one that is dangerous and number two they seem to also have several other cleaning tasks. In order for black card members to use their extra benefits it is necessary for staff to help them. I understand that scheduling is complex and that it seems like a waste to have more than one person when one CAN get all tasks complete but it's at a cost to the members. Nivea did a great job trying to balance everything tonight, but in order to get those tasks done she has to at some point be away from the desk. I also want to mention that she went above and beyond to give me a great experience. I use PF all over the US and I really appreciate this one. Thank you for all you do!! I have told at least four different employees that the hydro bed #5 is messed up- the water doesn't go all the way to the bottom of the bed and the screen will not let you adjust the pressure or speed. It has been this way for almost 3 months and I have complained about it for 3 months and the employees response is "everyone says that" there are 4 beds at this location and 2 of them are closed for social distancing there is no reason they couldn't close the two that are open and open the other two until the bed gets serviced. read more

I tried to sign up with Planet Fitness yesterday, but there was a problem. Although I was told that in order sign up at Planet Fitness for a month, it would cost me an astounding $2.86. That is not a typo, it was some sort of special, I guess. Unfortunately, even though I readily proffered my Debit card for payment, they insisted that I give them my bank account number and routing number, y'know, as I was told, "That's the way we transfer the money." And I was told this with a straight face too. Transfer the money, eh, all $2.86 worth? So I made an offer, "How about I give you 20 bucks cash? Would that cover it?" "Nope. Well still need your bank account and routing number. That's the way we do things around here." I was told. Be aware that Planet Fitness, and other such "Join Us Now", establishments cut the entrance fee to virtually nothing, because it's your bank acct numbers they want. That way, they can take money away from you in any amount and for any reason. Once you "join", it's like touching the Tar Baby, you will be stuck. Although they claim that you can cancel your membership at any time, this is not the truth. They will require that you submit written requests to cancel the membership (in triplicate" and include a copy of your Driver's License and blah blah blah.) The people at the desk who were so eager to sign you up, suddenly will claim that they are unable to cancel your membership (and the continual drain on your finances). These folks are not the honest people as they try to sell themselves. The folks at the desk are probably very nice people, but they aren't the ones who will be taking your money. I would love to find a gym that will sell me "x" amount of time in advance, and that's it. When my time runs out, fine, I either renegotiate or don't, the choice will be mine. read more
