Absolute Tree Solutions is the absolute best. I had a 70 ft. ash tree that died and needed to be removed. It was sandwiched between my house, garage, and deck. The tree had seven large limbs that hung over my house and garage.  I was worried about how they would thread the needle with those large branches and limbs to avoid hitting and damaging my house, garage, deck, and gutters. John explained how they would climb the tree, tie rope around each branch,  and lower each section piece by piece, guiding them to the ground.  They put down plywood around the tree to protect the ground, deck, and landscaping.   They took care of my property as if it were their own. And everything they said they would do they put in writing. And they performed the work exactly the way they explained. Expectations were set and met. John communicated clearly, professionally, and courteously throughout the whole process. He is a role model for how all contractors should conduct business.  A job well done, exceptionally well. Absolute Tree Service is the best! Called John and he came for the estimate the following day - was super knowledgeable about tree types and how and when to prune them. Got the estimate that same evening, called him the next morning to give him the go ahead, and he was out with an army of guys that afternoon doing the work! Great work - his crew trimmed several large trees, cut down problem growth areas, removed 2 decent sized hedge bushes and a stump, and relocated a 7 foot evergreen to another place in the yard. All that work done in the span of about 3 hours. High quality work done by knowledgeable professionals at a great price - doesn't get any better than that. Update on previous review. We had a lightening strike on a Sunday morning. My husband called numerous companies and John was the first to respond. His crew came out and tied a rope on a large branch that was hanging over our home and said they would be back by 3. At 6pm, the branch fell on our home after my husband had called several times to be "reassured" that the branch was secure. The crew eventually came and pulled the tree from the house after many heated conversations and the tree was taken down the next day. They left large logs in the yard that we had to take care of also. Ov er all, I have used this company three times. Two times, they were great. This time I think they promised more than the crew wanted to do on a Sunday morning. read more

John and his crew does excellent work. They removed 2 very large and 1 medium size trees during the summer (was planned). In November, following a snow storm an additional tree was removed because of damage to it caused by the storm. John replied immediately to my phone call, and the tree was removed within a few days following the storm (when it was safe). His crew does a fantastic job cleaning up. John stands by his guarantee to do things right. Our landscaper wanted additional grinding on the stumps that John had previously done. We just had 8 Elms taken down by ATS and they did a great job. The owner John and everyone on his crew were very professional and they did exactly what was quoted, no tricks, no extras and no nonsense. Right from the start I could tell that the crew leader was a quick thinker and very organized which played out well as the crew worked very quickly and efficiently through the whole job. I got a brief look at some of the equipment they were using and everything looked well cared for, including their truck and stump grinder. Absolute Tree Solutions removed a 60 ft Ash in backyard today and did a GREAT job. A crew of 5-6 arrived promptly first thing in morning and made short work of removing this tree, starting with strategically removing large limb overhanging house. Crew was very efficient in hauling pieces to be mulched/shredded, while others manned the ropes. Lead guy in the tree was fearless and worked chainsaw like an expert. Upon completion, job site was clean and appeared as if they were never there, except for the missing tree and ground up stump. Price was competitive. Needed to have a tree stump removed from my backyard. Small job, small cost. However, John responded to me immediately and had a quote to me by the next morning. The job was completed within 2 days of when I accepted his quote. I asked for proof of insurance and he supplied it to me. Also, called JULIE for me. On the day of the job, John was the one that came to my house to remove the stump. He was very professional, and did a great job. Being that we utilized Absolute Tree Solutions previously, my husband had the company contact information handy. He emailed the company at 1 a.m., the owner of the company responded at 7 a.m., and was in our yard evaluating the situation at 8 a.m. The company proceeded to work carefully to remove the fallen tree limbs and take down the remainder of the tree the same day. This really is the company to call when you have a tree problem. They are fast and freindly. I am a Wheeling native and like to keep my yard and home looking up to par. After one of these horrible wind storms a silver maple tree branc came down and grazed my garage and gutter. I called around and got a few estimates from 3 local companies and Absolute was one of them. I went with them because the other two companies just didnt convince me with there knowledge and pricing. John and his staff were excellent. They were very aware of everything in the yard when they cut down a very tall tree for us. Our tree was very much over our house and they were very cautious with taking down the big branches. They cleaned up everything including blowing off the roof from sawdust. We wanted someone to do the whole job with nothing left after and they accommodated. John was great with keeping in touch and making sure everything was going well. I used Absolute Tree Solution for the first time couple years ago when due to micro-burst one of the branches broke and landed on my roof. They came right away to remove branch from the roof and on top of that they trimmed all broken branches on a tree. Just last week I ask them to come and trim three huge trees (about 70 ft tall). They did excellent job, did it efficiently, and cleaned up before they left... and all for a very reasonable price. We needed several large, overgrown trees removed. Three of the largest ones were growing through the power lines. John came out ASAP with a fair quote and proof of insurance. After getting a few other quotes, we went with Absolute Tree Solutions, which turned out to be a great decision. They arranged with ComEd to cut the power while the trees were expertly removed. The crew was fast, efficient and cleaned up nicely. They ground out the stumps, and now I can't wait to plant some new, smaller trees next spring. I called John out about two weeks ago and he came right out to give me an estimate about an hour after I called. He was very polite and knowledgeable about trees. I had two Pine trees that always clog my gutters in the spring time and I needed them gone. Both trees were a pretty good size so I asked if he was insured and he handed a copy right over. The price was right and he came out the following week. They got there in the AM and were out at about Noon. I have to say the clean- up was great and I highly recommend John and his crew. read more

I hired John about two weeks ago to remove a pretty decent size Elm in my backyard and some bushes along with the stumps. I heard about them from a co-worker and he told me good things. I called John and he came buy with in the hour gave me and affordable price, presented his insurance and workman's comp and we had scheduled the removals for the end of the week. I had a 40ft Mulberry Tree and a Scott pine tree removed. As well as Silver Maple and a couple others trimmed. I was VERY happy with the service. Well what can I say they are good. I called them up for an estimate and John which is the owner came out and checked out our three trees. I have no idea what the were but, John filled me in and was helpful on making my decision. He is a young guy and a hard worker. The only reason I did not give him the 5th star is because it took a couple days to get the stump ground out due mechanical issues. Other than that I recommend using them. read more
