I am calling my bank to dispute the charges since Minute Clinic didn't submit to the insurance, my insurance has negotiated rates for items that are not fully covered. I'm also contacting corporate. The doctor cannot refuse our insurance, or simply bill us how he sees fit for services.

But Oct 30, 2025 visit after arriving sick from overseas was processed as Out of Network. Reason was twofold: the nurse practitioner (Hyo S Choi) I saw was an Out of Network employee and she marked the visit as a Primary Care Visit, rather than Standard Care. So while Minute Clinic IS In Network, if the person you see is Out of Network and the care is charged as "Primary Care", you will be charged as Out Of Network. The actual storefront is In Network, but the person you see may be Out of Network. Only way to know is to ask the nurse practitioner, if they are In Network and ask them to bill your service as Standard Care. Personally, I will never go to this or any other Minute Clinic again because of this little money grab move CVS has found to get more out of my insurance and me.

It didn't feel like going to a small room tucked away in the corner of a pharmacy but instead seemed like being in a regular doctor's office. In addition, when we were given prescriptions we could conveniently get them filled right there. My only issue is the check in process. The appointment times aren't particularly accurate. Both times we were notified to go in but once we arrived at CVS we had to wait for some time to be seen. This was after we had already been waiting at home for 1.5 to 2 hours. All of my experiences with Minute Clinic have been positive (not just this location but others as well) so I would definitely recommend them for minor issues.
