I have had great experiences here with many of the technicians, but recently have been very impressed with Jason. He is thorough and cleanly - he wears gloves from start to finish, which in my mind, just makes sense. I've always struggled with dry cuticles, hang nails, and aberrant nail growth on my right thumb. I can't cover it with nail polish due to my work, so it needs to be filed and buffed. Jason got to work, and my nails look great just to my liking - a buff manicure. It felt unnecessary and honestly quite humiliating. On top of that, the colors I specifically asked for were not done, which was frustrating after already feeling judged. The overall tone and attitude made the experience feel unwelcoming and embarrassing. They also have the tools in "sterilized packets" and they are not as evidenced by not seeking the color seal To make matters worse, when I still chose to leave a tip, a comment was made implying it wasn't enough. That was the final straw. I left feeling embarrassed and disrespected. No one should feel that way while trying to enjoy a simple self-care service. According to my lady, Melanie "...is an artist..." and is the reason why she gets so many compliments from others about her hair. The location is in a shopping center on Bluemound Road and Calhoun. Minus the star for that: it was the most uncomfortable massage I have ever had from a chair, and was actually a little painful at times. The pedicure was lovely. I have extremely ticklish feet, and the tech never got me once! From there I was moved out into "general pop" and received my manicure. Again, a lovely experience. I had artificial nails put on where needed, and opted for a dip powder. Best decision ever! My nails didn't show any signs of wear for at least a month!
