Basically a good dentist and salesman. No problems here. The problem, and it is a big one for me, is his business practices. He quoted a price for his services and then, without any mention exacted significantly more for a "consultation" after the work was done. In this case, tripling the price. Specifically, I visited his office for a cleaning and imaging and was quoted a $ 225 fee. While I was there I asked about tooth pain. He looked at adjacent teeth, never mentioning charges. Upon leaving, I was billed $610 for "Consultation". Some may feel this is fair. No discussion permitted; just my problem. You be the judge. Imaging, which was included with the cleaning must be read by a doctor. So a cleaning must include some consultation. No explanation offered. Just pay up. If a patient feels so bamboozled, eh - robbed - that he is posting in every Internet forum and telling every Rockville Centre resident he knows, Dr. Hasday has failed him. Dr. Hasday might review his billing practices. An otherwise fine practitioner should not be leaving his patients feeling they were dealing with a lier and were ripped off.

There's a free three hour lot off of S Front St between Main St and Elizabeth St as well. Hi Dental is actually considered out-of-network for our dental insurance, but every single member of my family hates the dentist so it was of the utmost importance to find one that we actually do love. I spoke to Kate, the receptionist, about our insurance situation. I stressed that I didn't mind a reasonable cost but that I was concerned about extreme, surprise bills. She got our information, spoke to our insurance, and was able to be very transparent about the charges that we may incur. I also received handy text reminders on my phone before our appointments. The office itself is clean and brand new. We actually lived in the same building when Hi Dental opened and I'd been eyeing it as a potential dentist for two years before mustering up the courage to bring my family. There's a restroom right off of the waiting room that's large enough to accommodate our double stroller and myself. There's also water, tea, and coffee available. My daughter enjoyed the little reading nook and kid's books. There's also free wifi available that was easy and reliable to connect to. As aforementioned, no one in my family enjoys going to the dentist. My young daughter and husband straight up hate going. My daughter refused to even open her mouth up for a dentist up until her appointment with Dr. Im. So that meant she never had a successful dentist visit until now at the age of five. I mentioned this on the paperwork new patients fill out before being seen. Dr. Im read it and had a brief chat with me before they brought my daughter back for a cleaning. I was able to stand in the hallway by the exam room and observe her appointment. I knew it'd be a home run as soon as Dr. Im offered to play something on Netflix for my daughter to watch during her appointment. Dr. Im and Kate explained everything that they were doing before they did it. A positive time at the dentist for my child is priceless because it makes my life easier. For my husband and I, Dr. Im showed us the x-rays of our teeth before doing a cleaning. My husband is an orthopod and seeing our x-rays clearly on the large flat screen tv was just a nice, quiet confirmation that Dr. Im is being honest with her suggestions for further dental care. We both found it easy to talk to her about our respective dental concerns. I also thought Dr. Im had a light, gentle touch when it came to the actual cleaning and Kate was also not overzealous with the suctioning. We got a clear breakdown of the cost of our visits and a bag of dental goodies at the end of our appointments. Dr. Im and Kate transformed our family's negative perception of dentist visits. Given that it was a front tooth is was really scaring my 3-year-old. I made an appointment with Dr. Tamara Yelizar and she has found every way to uncharge me for simply gluing of the crown. 1. She has not walked out of her office to actually speak to me nor UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM SAPCE. 2. She wanted $100 for an emergency visit - I am not sure how it's an emergency visit if I made an appointment in advance. 3. She wanted $100 in addition to temporary glue the crown - which is insulting, to begin with, to even offer or $200 to permanent glue. If I would choose the correct option the total bill would be $300. After walking out of the office I phoned my dentist friend and ran that story by him. He found that entire approach to that situation highly unprofessional and unfair. I really hope that this practices become more customer-centric.
