The locker rooms could use a refresh but the workout areas are solid. I'm not currently a pool user so I can't comment on that. I do feel like the cost to benefit ratio is worth it - especially for a family membership.

Due to the fact that I am not a large donor of the YMCA, those who do donate are basically buying a pass to be terrible people and the YMCA as a cooperation are allowing it. Everything they have to offer is awesome and a day pass for an individual or family is great price to do multiple activities. Overall a great time and easy to come and go throughout the day. I have used it nearly a dozen times and can't recommend it highly enough. First, the owner Mary Ellen is a former teacher and a mom herself and is marvelous with the kids. Second, the center is very clean and has a great variety of toys, games, educational materials for children. My two year old daughter loves it there. Each time I pick her up she asks when she can go back and play. The only negative to me are the hours as I would love to use it later in the afternoon or on weekends. One other great aspect is that children do not need to be toilet trained to use the center the way they do at a lot of drop in places. I encourage parents to try this out...you won't be disappointed!

There were, to my memory, zero firings in 2017. I can only say the best things about this daycare, where my 4 year old has been going since she was 6 months old. It's not a homogeneous group of kids but they do generally come from white collar families. The teachers have done a really good job of supporting education (my daughter could write her name when she turned 3) and social graces & behavior, including our efforts at potty training.

They are like a new extended family and treat us all kindly and like our concerns matters. Our daughter is learning Spanish, how to read and so many wonderful social skills. That was called the Downtown Branch. Anyway. This is not a great YMCA by any stretch of the imagination, and it has a strange layout and looks a little bit like it was built in 1952 or something. Nevertheless I was happy that it was here, and the pool was mostly empty, and while it smelled weird, it was so quiet and only one other person was there the whole time I was there. That was much better for my swimming than most others I've tried, especially my home one in Buffalo (Williamsville) where the pool gets so crowded, it's a joke. However, some of the equipment desperately needs replacing, so I can't really give more than a four. Rusted out and really poor for lifting. At least getting in here was no big problem.

My children were enrolled in TeddyTime Daycare from birth until they were old enough to not need…read moredaycare. The owner and all of the employees were fantastic and treated myself, my wife, my children, and everyone I ever saw them in contact with with the utmost respect. In fact, we started with Teddy Time in 2005 and I am still friends with the owners and two of the employees that worked there with my children and see them on a weekly basis. They work with the kids and there is always some learning activities disguised as games or some other fun interaction. They don't "watch" the children like some daycares. They spend time with them. Not sure why someone who is not a parent or legal guardian (like a fiancé) would write a bad review simply because a business owner did not disclose information to them that they were not entitled to receive. That's basic NYS disclosure law. And am I reading this correctly...this same person is complaining that this business did not accept an admittedly forged document? To me, that's protecting the child, so that just makes this business even better. The other bad review that starts with "I don't usually write bad reviews", is how someone who only writes bad reviews starts a review. I couldn't believe anything after that point. My kids were happy and healthy and they loved it there. My daughter, who is 12 now, still loves to visit. Bottom line, this is an awesome daycare. If I had more children, they would all be going to Teddy Time. Thank you for all of the great work you did while my children spent time with you.
