The AC Hotel in downtown Denver is as close as you can get to the Denver Convention Center. The staff from the moment we arrived to the moment we were whisked away back to the airport were amazing. Here are some tips and tricks. This is one building with two hotels The AC and the Le Meridien Each floor has AC and Le Meridien rooms, and the elevators, while not distinct, are placed back-to-back to one another. The AC breakfast buffet is $22 per person, but the lounge area from the front lobby is thoughtfully decorated and inviting. Le Meridien has Corrine's and a more upscale lobby area. Shoutout to Mike, the barista with the mosta in the lobby at Le Meridien. He's phenomenal My room was just what I wanted - functional. I did find the bed to be very hard and not cozy. I had a difficult time sleeping all three nights. The gym and the rooftop bar were great, and I highly recommend checking out both. Tip: My room was on the 19th floor and had a fridge, but the microwave is located on the 2nd floor with the Ice machine. I would recommend staying at the AC if you want the Denver downtown feel or if you need to attend a conference at the Convention Center. read more

Great hotel and a fantastic value! Rooms were gorgeous, staff was amazing. Big shout out to Ariyanna at the front desk, who made check in super easy, and very time I passed by she was on shift with a smile on her face. Paul G and Erin, the bartenders, were great too! Valet service was fast and friendly too. Things were not totally perfect though. Our room had a few minor annoyances like the latch on the door was really hard to open, and the sliding door to the bathroom was stuck (and I wish it wasn't translucent so I could turn the light on without disturbing my girlfriend). The biggest ding, which cost them a star, was $67/night for valet parking and a little less for self park. That is far beyond anything I have ever paid elsewhere, and parking is plentiful and relatively cheap in Denver. There is really no excuse to charge that much for parking here! J.Ja read more

The location was perfect for our overnight trip to Denver. It sss walkable to Larinar square? The selfie museum, and close enough to other places do that our uber fees were very reasonable. The rooms were pretty decent and updated no complaints, the staff were all very friendly. There's a bar downstairs and also a rooftop bar with happy hour and great drinks. If you need to stay downtown, this is a nice clean, newly renovated hotel with pretty good soundproofing on the windows. There are a lot of spaces downstairs to chill out, whether on couches about four different rooms? one with the fireplace then the downstairs room also wraps around to the hotel next-door. I believe there is a bar or two I did not use. Walking down the hall, you can hear how sort of quiet it is soundproofed from the street. However, after a while, you realize there are these motorcycles that are really deep, sounding kind of diagonally from the corner, leaving late at night, it's a bar. There's some sort of bar with these motorcycles' sound that break through the walls and windows of the hotel that totally interrupts your sleep. But the beds are comfortable. The pillows are long and awkward, fold them? Stack them?, one night I actually moved to the couch, which was firm and more comfortable to use the pillow. The only real drawback was the modern sink area where there was nowhere to hang a damp washcloth or put your things. It was a weird cut out around the mirror which worked as a space divider with the room. The toilet doesn't have a solid door it has a sliding glass door. I know that would annoy some people so I'm just gonna mention it. If you're not too picky, this is actually really a great place. You can walk to everything downtown, CVS/ Walgreens (kinda sketchy people) and a block to the convention center. But if you are a light sleeper, it could be a bummer. If I had time to enjoy the downstairs more, I think I would've liked it and the little bit of time I did have it was great that they had the baseball games on even though I had to be on the phone, I could watch the scoring happen. Room serve was good too! Going with 4 stars over 3 as the lady late night, when i forgot toiletries, sorted me out kindly. read more

They have some nice decor, but that's the only good thing about this hotel. I booked their most expensive room, the one with the "premium King view". I got a room with what is probably the worst view in the hotel (see photo). They said their safe was laptop-compatible, but it wasn't. My average size (15") laptop did not fit. Housekeeping never cleaned my room. There were some problems at the front desk--their computer system was down during check-in and check-out, so it took longer than normal. read more

This bar shares the rooftop (and maybe with the lobby?) With le meridian but the weekend I stayed the AC was way more affordable than the meridian and still had great marriott service (which i always appreciate) and my room was on the top floor right down the hall from the awesome rooftop- score. It was super hot the weekend I stayed but I did venture up to the roof for a bit. I was able to get a table in the afternoon and prices weren't that bad ( I think a drink was $9) This place is conveniently located right off the 16th street mall, and while there are busses going to union station, i was able to walk there pretty easily instead of waiting for the bus. There was also bar in the lobby and (I believe) a restaurant. The room was clean, quiet, nicely appointed and had a giant TV with Netflix, etc. Denver doesn't have a huge skyline but I had a pretty nice view. I would definitely stay here again read more

Lobby was really nice w/ a nice restaurant (Corinne) Pros - Beautiful hotel, new, great views, comfy bed and sheets, pet friendly, and friendly staff at check in. Cons - Parking is pretty difficult, as the road was under construction and there was only 3 spots for Valet. We had to circle the block which took ~3 minutes just trying to get a parking spot in front to check in. Room is pretty tight, but that is expected for a downtown location. No refrigerator read more

Clean, consistent, and a good Marriott property overall. What brought down my rating was the $45 parking fee. Fees annoy me work it into the price upfront when I book. The other thing my wife and I didn't like was that there isn't a separation between the bathroom and the bedroom. A king room is small and the only thing that separates the two is a mirror you can see around on both sides. We're not a big fan of sharing our bathroom time. I'd recommend at least closing the space around the mirror so the light doesn't shine when the other person is trying to sleep. Great for one person. We probably won't stay here again though. read more

Beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown Denver. I loved it, except for the construction that was happening on the street below (lots of road works right around the hotel at the time that I visited). Anyway, hubby made a complaint to the front desk and they moved us to a higher floor, which subsequently also had a better view! All in all, we could not hear the late night construction nor the downtown street traffic noise as much...but keep that in mind when booking (its noisy) Rooms and small, but efficient. And the bed was comfortable. There is reduced house keeping and other hotel services for now, but just call the front desk for any immediate needs and they are great at responding. All very courteous which adds to having a great stay! read more

We don't typically review hotels on Yelp but in this case I wanted to. Simply for the service we got from the front desk rep, Daniel. Shortly after checking in during the afternoon we heard really loud music from the room next door. Which led to my first experience with Daniel. And during this elevator trip I learned that there was a 2 night EDM convention at the nearby Convention Center from 6pm-2am each night. And you could definitely feel it and see it all thru the hotel. Daniel quickly and sympathetically switched us rooms and helped us immediately, since we were worried about a 5am wake up the next morning to catch our flight home. Also, a few minutes after our room switch, my girlfriend remembered that she left something in the old room. Daniel didn't hesitate once again and escorted her up to the old room. While we wish we would have known about the EDM convention in advance, Daniel made the whole experience a great one and made sure our stay was memorable. I am not sure who will see this to give him the credit he deserves, but hoping someone does. read more

What a cool place to stay in downtown Denver. Stayed at the AC two nights for work and when you're a road warrior, nice accommodations make all the difference in the world. The AC is in a great location downtown and within walking distance or a very short Lyft on cold nights to virtually everywhere. Valet is quite expensive at $51/night, so I recommend self parking if staying on your own dime. The rooms are very modern and extremely nice, as you would expect from an AC, with great views of the city on higher floors. Nice bathroom, great showers. I got a few compliments on my "cologne" (aka, AC lotion... STEAL THEM ALL!!) The hotel also has a great restaurant, Corinne, where I had a few meals during my stay. Great quality, and reasonable prices, though I do recommend actually going to the restaurant and not using room service. After fees and tip, your bill will be more than double the menu price. In addition to the great bar in Corinne, there's also a great lobby bar with a beautiful pool table. I had so much fun on that pool table that I forgot my license behind the front desk when I went to bed (must leave ID for pool balls), and didn't realize until I was ready to make my way through TSA the next morning at the Denver airport. An hour of terror and a $140 round trip cab ride later, and I completed my own lame version of the Hangover. All well worth the experience. Great hotel! read more

We had an unexpected trip from Los Angeles to Denver and upon arriving at the AC Marriott in downtown Denver we were met with incredibly supportive staff, wonderful customer service and an exceptional waiter within the hotel's restaurant. Vincent was kind, attentive and had an incredibly positive and upbeat personality. The food was exceptional (had the Croquet Madam and the cold pressed juice) and I recommend it to anybody in the Denver area. The coffee was excellent as well. Boy has this place declined. It used to be a nice little boutique type hotel. No more. In the past you felt welcomed here. Now it's the impersonal treatment you get at any large hotel. There's no maid service. You can ask for it and they will keep telling you that they will get to your room. Until it's late enough that they tell you sorry, too late. The curtains were broken at half open. Had to call several times over hours to get someone up to fix it. Their services list breakfast. Nope - nothing. Giving them 2 stars instead of 1 because of how good they used to be. read more

Overall, the big picture story is a 6 hotel!! The service at check in is truly amazing. The rooftop bar is spectacular. The lobby bar is above average. All of it is great. The parts that are closed for COVID are sadly missed (no pool table) but inconsequential at the end of the day. My particular room - 1903 - was a 1 room (0 if it was an option). The shower had no water pressure. It was literally a trickle. And the very funky bathroom door wasn't hung properly so it was next to impossible to close, it scraped the floor and left a gap when closed. I would highly recommend this hotel as long as you inspect your room immediately after checking in. read more

I am thoroughly enjoying my stay at this hotel. It's connection to Le Meridien and Corrine restaurant certainly helps. The workout facility is one of the best I have encountered when traveling, and the views from the rooftop lounge are spectacular. This place is totally cool would be the perfect place to come if you were on your bumble app needed to meet somebody and get a room. We had booked a room here from Monday through Thursday. Unfortunately once we got to the room we were not satisfied with accommodations that were given to us. First of all the bathroom was right next to the bed. I'm sorry but I don't want to travel with anybody and know when they have to fart. Another thing I did not like was the bathroom door was a sliding door. Very stressful for a girl that's magically never supposed to poo. I don't know if those are my own insecurities but I feel like all women feel the same. I didn't quite understand why the rooftop wasn't open but everybody was allowed to gather downstairs. The music was awesome the Decour was on point! Don't get me wrong This place had a total hipster vibe . One problem for sure though is that they didn't have any parking. Be prepared when coming to Denver Colorado make sure to search free parking in your hotel accommodations. Parking issue was a nightmare we had to check out after one night. The guest room was utilitarian for business travelers, but the AC Hotel is convenient to the convention center and all of downtown Denver. It shares the same building and housekeeping team as Le Meridian which had a nicer lobby. I often took the Le Meridian elevators because they were close to my room. My stay got off to a rocky start because I arrived around 2:00 a.m. to a locked entrance and dark lobby. No one was at the registration desk and no one was answering the speaker phone by the door. After about 10 minutes an employee came out and opened the door ... and was helpful through the check-in process. The rocky experience continued when 7 hours later I received a thank you email and receipt for my stay. The hotel had checked me out of the room despite having a reservation for 4 nights. A couple phone calls and visits to the front desk got it resolved ... and finally I could relax in my room. My room was on the corner with a nice view of the construction across the street. Bring earplugs because the noise is ... noisy. As a Marriott Rewards devotee, I was glad to earn points staying at the AC Hotel in downtown Denver, but I will likely choose a different hotel on my next visit unless I'm really seeking utilitarian convenience. read more

I love AC Marriott hotels, and seek them out in every city that I visit. This one did not disappoint. It's a fabulous ultra-modern hotel in the middle of downtown Denver, with dozens of shops, restaurants and amenities mere steps away. It's also conveniently situated 1 block from the 16th Street (pedestrian) Mall, and 2 blocks from another mall. I had a few challenges during check in but Lamarr was tremendously helpful. My 1st room was next to the entrance to rooftop bar and the fitness center. I was in the room for 5 minutes and realized that I was not going to get a good night's sleep there. He assigned me to another room, which still had the stench of marijuana in the air. Not a good look, especially when you're travelling on business. Given the 'marijuana culture' in Denver, the hotel needs an efficient way to deodorize rooms after guests who smoke have occupied them so that other guests can enjoy a smoke-free room. Or charge a cleaning surcharge the way that other hotels do for cigarette smoke. I was starting to feel like Goldilocks, but fortunately the 3rd room was just right. Lamarr was very patient as he helped me find suitable accommodations. I was concerned because the 1st room keys he gave me weren't the ones given to Elite members, so I thought I hadn't booked this trip using my rewards number. However, he told that he was "just being lazy" and didn't want to get them from the other drawer. He also threw in some vouchers for breakfast, as well as another for bar credit at the rooftop bar. Definitely appreciate the goodwill gestures. My room was open concept, studio apartment-style, with a water closet instead of a full bathroom: smaller than I'm used to, but it worked. There was also limited space for clothing: no dressers, only a clothing rack and a few hangers.There's also no fridge or microwave in the room. The ironing board does not lock securely and is prone to collapsing without warning: especially dangerous iron when the hot iron is on it. The hotel provides the basic toiletries as well as extras like shower caps and makeup remover wipes. However, maid service is inconsistent and the latter two are not replenished consistently. Toilet paper, tissue and bath mats were also inconsistently replenished. One maid also made up my bed, but did not put all the pillows back on the bed. I knocked two of them on the floor during the night, and when I returned after my room had been serviced, those pillows were in the same spot on the floor. The shower has both the 'rainshower' and shower handle with great water pressure. The shower chamber is made of opaque white glass and includes a towel rack right inside. Nice touch. There are no couches or other seating surfaces in the hallway. The hotel has 20 floors and although elevators generally arrive quickly, it would be great to have somewhere to sit when they don't. The rooftop bar, 54thirty, offers a beautiful view of the mountains and the city below. It offers an eclectic variety of bar bites, as well as a thoughtful and creative cocktails and spirits. Service is attentive, and there are bar managers walking around to ensure that guests' needs are met, and that everyone is enjoying themselves. The breakfast bar has a small assortment of breakfast options. Sliced salami, prosciutto, and roast turkey. Manchego and cheddar cheeses. Spinach, leek, and gruyere quiche, ham and swiss quiche, cranberry apple breakfast tart (often overbaked), 3-5 dry cereals, fresh fruit options (sliced melon, pineapples, and blueberries, as well as apples, oranges and bananas). There are also croissants, rye and multigrain bread, Nutella, cherry jam, and apricot jam. Once morning they had pumpkin strusel ('tis the season): another morning they offered a banana walnut breakfast pastry, and on another, they offered assorted flavors of rugalah, but made with soft, chewy phyllo dough. My favorite, by far! There's OJ, cranberry, and apple juices, milk (2%, skim, soy: almond is available upon request), coffee and teas. Unfortunately bowls, condiment cups, juice, and hot water for tea were not readily replenished. I also noticed that some of the food items were labeled incorrectly. Not good for people with food allergies. There was a language barrier with some of the staff members, who didn't quite understand what was being requested. Once I was brought a bowl of oatmeal, when I asked for almond milk for my tea. Lol! (It looked good, served with an assortment of fruit and nuts on the side, and I was sad for wasting it). The staff are well meaning though, and remember guest preferences. I was surprised that, not long after I was greeted, one of the staff members asked me if I would like almond milk this morning. She's probably seen hundreds of guests since my last visit, but I was pleased she remembered. It can become redundant after eating the same thing for a few days, plus there are many amazing restaurants and cafes nearby. read more

AC hotel Denver is in the same building as Le Meridien Denver. Literally the same hotel, divided with walls and have different decors.. If you want a cheaper accommodation I suggest you book at AC hotel. Yeah Le Meridien has a little more amenities pre-covid, but if you don't need that little extra, why pay more? The two hotels has two separate entrances, however due to COVID all check in is done at the Le Meridien lobby. When we arrived we were greeted by a snobby gentlemen, who then found out that we were AC hotel guests and referred us to the lady on the other side. I forgot her name, but she was very jolly and friendly! She explained everything about our stay, thanked me for being a Gold member, and gave us tips about the surrounding area. Oh and every time she would see us she'd welcome us back! This is the type of customer service every hotel should have. Makes one feel very welcome! Because of COVID they are not cleaning any rooms while you are staying. So if you need extra items such as towels, pillows, etc you have to go down to the lobby and ask for it. No biggie really, but I've noticed some people had an issue with that. Room was very decent, just like any other AC hotels I've stayed at. It was clean, modern, and enough for a few nights stay. I had two queen beds on the 12th floor, room 1218 which had a view of the mountains. The mountains does make a lovely morning wake up everyday. The only draw back about the hotel is the lobby area. If the AC hotel lobby area was open, it wouldn't be a problem but since they use the Le Meridien lobby which is shared with 54 Thirty (rooftop bar) check in area, it gets VERY busy after 4pm. It's rather annoying! Yeah people had masks on but there was zero social distancing. It was so crowded at times you can't even get in and out of the lobby door without dodging people. This is unacceptable especially during the pandemic.. hopefully something can be worked out to allow more social distancing.. read more

The location of this hotel is fantastic. You're right in the middle of downtown, and it's a block away from the free 16th street mall ride. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Perhaps I'm a traditionalist, but I thought this hotel was a bit too modern for me. Mostly because there's only a half wall that separates where you sleep and where the bathroom is. If you get up in the middle of the night to pee while your toddler is asleep, you better be good at peeing in the dark because even the 'bathroom' light is enough to cause quite a glare. Something that can be avoided say...if the wall was a complete wall. Another low key gripe I have is where the rooftop bar/lounge and the fitness center are. They're on the same floor, which isn't typically a problem, but the walls/windows of the fitness center are in total view of anyone having a good time at the bar. It's kind of a weird set up. That aside, the fitness center itself is great with a variety of different cardio machines and a decent amount of free weights. read more

The hotel is chic and has multiple bars, including the 54thirty rooftop bar and Corinne, which make staying in the hotel for cocktails and appetizers a must! The rooms are very clean and inviting with a minimalistic aesthetic. Everyone who works here is super nice and very friendly. The location is ideal because you're in walking distance (or a very short uber ride) from everything downtown A heads up, like most hotels downtown the parking is $45/ night. No mini bar, no tub, no room service, no suites, and nothing to distinguish this Denver hotel from an AC in any other city. But what was really disappointing wasn't even that they wouldn't let the Uber Eats guy deliver to my room or have someone from the hotel bring it up - what was really disappointing was the creepy hotel employee who knocked on my door at 8:10am on a Saturday morning and when I opened it and asked what he wanted, all he could muster was that he was checking to see it the room was occupied. I'm a big enough guy to handle myself but that's an unsafe situation waiting to happen right there. read more

We stayed here for business and the room was clean a very unique layout to the room especially a corner room. Lots of glass which is cool during a snow but a little noisy with downtown traffic. Also is a little cooler than others with so much glass. The wooden floors are great and easy to clean but make the room a little more cold and sterile feeling. Valets were attentive and kept us from waiting. Check where you get the car if an early morning flight as you might get it on the other side of the hotel from where you picked it up. If you are working downtown I would recommend. If you are working in the outskirts I would stay in the outskirts. Save you some on the valet and maybe a few on the room. read more

The AC Hotel is a very nice addition to the Denver skyline. Marriott owns and operates hotels like this around the globe, so it's an international affair. The lobby is a really great spot to catch up with friends or colleagues. There are a couple of places to eat at, the AC Kitchen and the Corinne Restaurant, and you can grab a drink at the AC Lounge.
