Overall, wasn't really impressed with this hotel despite it looking really good on paper. It was centrally located and the rooms were pretty nice. Other than that, lots of problems that I don't think will ever change. They charge a mandatory destination fee on top of everything which basically forced you to use their bar and restaurant. The Colorado welcome amenity was just a couple bags of snacks. The WiFi which was included in the mandatory hidden fee didn't work because the front desk agent typed in the last name wrong. The pool was also very small and crowded. Very disappointing all around. I would have expected better for such a big name hotel chain in downtown Denver.

Great location - walking distance to restaurants, Union Station and the outdoor mall. Room was comfortable, clean and had nice complimentary amenities. There was no bathroom fan (I think all bathrooms should have a fan!) Gym is small and limited but it's clean. Valet parking was convenient but $$. I appreciate them bringing my car around at 4am so I could get to the airport!

I was here for a meeting and stayed in the hotel and used the conference facilities. I had a standard king room which was comfortable and roomy. As with all Westins, the beds are super comfortable. The couch was nice for lounging. My only complaint with the furniture is that the desk chair was not adjustable...so....short people problems! Trying to type on a laptop with ones arms up gets old after a bit...they also forgot to refill the shower gel which I didn't realize until in the shower...they did have a bar of soap I could grab though. They do respond to text requests quickly, and addressed that and a maintenance issue promptly(toilet leaking badly from handle and filling up trash can under it). Internet is complimentary if you join the Marriott Bonvoy program which is free, so definitely worth letting them send you emails. The food for our meetings was delicious! Definitely a huge step up from the usual meeting fare. Conference rooms were fine, but again, no adjustable chairs so kind of rough for a full day. Location is right on the 16th street mall so easy to walk to restaurants, shopping and the Convention Center as well as places like Coors Field and the train station.

Yelp Review 2023 #257: There's plenty of hotels to choose from in Downtown Denver. Along Lawrence alone, you'll have a variety with different amenities and price ranges. This hotel is in a great location. Many coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance and you can catch the free 16th Street Mall bus from here. From the Denver Airport, you can catch the train which stops at Union Station. From Union Station, it's about a 5-10 minute walk depending on how fast you walk. If you're catching a concert at Pepsi Stadium, now known as Ball Arena, you can catch a bus and walk a bit for a trip that's under 15 minutes. To the Convention Center, it would take you under 10 minutes. 15 minutes away from Museum of Contemporary Art (either via bus or walking). My room on a high floor had a view of Daniels & Fisher - that building with a large clock on top. The room was spacious. Flat screen TV was in proportion to the size of the room and it worked properly. Free bottled water everyday. Ample closet space. I'm not picky about beds - I can fall asleep on anything (kind of) as long as it's clean and smells clean. The pillows flatten as soon as you put your head on them so you have to double maybe triple stack them. The bathroom has toiletries. They have a gym with bikes and other cardio machines. Free weights and machines. There's a pool that's half indoor and half outdoor. Check in and check out process was quick as it was prepaid and I never accrue any incidentals. I left the do not disturb tag hanging outside the door so housekeeping don't have to clean the room but they went in and cleaned anyway. There's not much to clean. The bed just need to be made and trash emptied but other than that, I didn't need anything.

Just asked for towels and it looks like there's blood on it!

Terrible all around... Can't park your own vehicle unless you use and pay the parking garage company that is not affiliated with the hotel. Alternatively, you can pay for valet, but then you feel obligated to tip every time you take the vehicle out and in. Called down for towels and two hours later, still no towels. When we finally got them, some fluid that looks like blood was on one of the towels (see photo). After attending long meetings all day at the conference we were in, we changed into our swimwear and headed down to the pool deck to relax in the jacuzzi...but surprise, there is no jacuzzi, just an indoor/outdoor pool with lukewarm water that smells musky and looks turbid. Not one employee at the front desk was ever friendly , helpful or welcoming. I hated even walking past them because they would glower at us as we walked by, never smiling, never saying hello or good morning/evening. I'm just not used to that. Have to say, room service was pretty decent and had a great selection of food choices. Unfortunately, it's not enough to get my business for a second time. The next time we have a conference in town, I'm going to remind my company about our experience here and choose a different hotel.

So many great things to say about this hotel: -Rooms were modern, clean and beautiful! We had a great view of the city and felt so comfortable throughout our stay. -Love the rainfall showers and little touches like the aromatherapy next to the bed. -SOLID location! A short walk from union station, close to Larimer Square and 16th street and not far from RiNo. -Even though V's (restaurant) was temporarily housed in a conference room, the food was absolutely delicious!! No boring hotel breakfast here. We ate here both mornings as it was so good! Although the hotel is currently under renovation, we didn't have any disturbances or issues. Only things that would've made this stay better were: -We booked the reservation to include breakfast. When we got to breakfast, they told us we should've gotten a coupon to use so we had to leave to go back to the front desk to get the coupons. They covered $15 per person but no dish on the menu was less than $15 so it's not really fully included. -Usually Marriotts are good about acknowledging status but they didn't. I came back to the front desk to ask if we could get the gold elite late check out and they offered 1pm which was still helpful but it would've been nice if that had been taken care of upon check in. Overall, a really solid stay and the things to change were really minor. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved the ambiance, feeling like we'd really discovered a gem off the beaten track, pun intended. By joining the club, it was a monthly excuse to plan a special night out to what became one of our favorite places for date night. It's been a couple of years now, but we had occassion to meet the owners, when we mistook their closing time for an hour later. The lights were still on, so we didn't realize our mistake, until they'd already invited us in to exchange our monthly growler with such warmth. Super nice people, reflecting the vibe we always felt on our other visits. The staff echoes that disposition, always friendly and knowledgeable. Though the winery isn't on-site, I've always been impressed with their tasting experience. I've now been a member for over 5 years, going in at least once a month, and they still suggest trying seasonal options and have broadened my palette... Though my ex and I have parted ways for a long while now and he moved away, he's kept our membership current, calling it my "alimony," and a nod to remembering the good times we had together. I recommend Bigsby's for all the good memories for all the folks, be it a lazy summer afternoon on the patio or a cozy evening in the lounge area with a glass of red when it's cold outside!

Then when he did acknowledge me and I stated I would sit at the bar, it took several minutes for the bartender to acknowledge me. The staff was busy speaking to each other and doing side work. Once I was acknowledged, things started getting a little better. When I arrived during breakfast/brunch, I was informed they were in the middle of a menu change, so my choices were limited. Breakfast items include bacon and burritos. I started off with a charcuterie board (though I had asked for a fromage board). This was not only because I wanted some tasty cheese, but I was trying to kill time until the lunch/dinner menu started. The board was a great board, two different meats, three cheeses, a loaf of bread, some nuts and jellies. But it was 40 dollars! I had a few small plates (which was still a lot of food). I had a melon and cucumber salad, which was a good palate cleanser. I also had the roasted king mushrooms, which were underwhelming with no seasoning, and they were a little chewy. The best thing was the wild boar meatballs, which were seasoned really well and in a savory, delicious marinara sauce. All the cocktails were fruity (but not sweet) and refreshing. I had one that was carrot based (Kiss my Carrot with tequila, cointreau, carrot, orange, and ginger), one that had pineapple flavor (paper boat with rum, falernum, aperol, lemon, pineapple), and the smoky smoke and flower (hibiscus mezcal, cointreau, pama, rose water). This spot is a winery, so they have a large wine list. They have handhelds like burgers and flatbreads. Starters like artichoke dip and bruschetta. Some of the current entrees, which might change, are hanger steak, chilean salmon, cauliflower steak. They had a gnocchi dish I was interested in, but it's already been removed from the menu. The restaurant is classy and just like a winery is expected to be. The food is pretty good. But the service was really subpar.

The house band played from 7 to 8:10, took a break, and then came back and played another song. It was 8:25 before anyone was invited to join. They can't/won't cut in half. Ok, whatever. I don't understand what the big deal is, they obviously posses knives... just cut them instead of saying "no". So stupid. 20ish Minutes after waiting, the person who took my order said it would be 30 minutes to make. Which was weird cause what was going on for the last 20 minutes? 30 minutes to wait is fine, if you don't waste the 20 mins prior resulting in about an hour wait. So, I declined as now we are talking an hour to get 20 simple breakfast burritos. I needed to get to work and I wasn't wanting to wait an entire hour and they just wasted 20 minutes of my time not prepping anything, so I decided not to go with the burritos. Someone came to refund my sale and then preceded to kind of scold me for not ordering in advance. He said something about for an order like 20 burritos they want 2 days heads up. GTF outta here. It's freaking burritos. You don't need 2 days to make 20 burritos. And here's the thing, I'm not here for a lecture because I attempted to give YOU business. And I won't be back, either. 3.5 Stars…read more After waiting nearly three months for Denver's hottest reservation, my group of four were underwhelmed by our dining experience. The Good: The food itself was lovely. Fantastic flavors. Beautiful plating. If basing our review on the food alone--five stars. The Bad: Despite having been in their space for months by now, the ambiance was not there. The staff kept turning on and off the food heat lamps, which were so bright that the light level in the entire space vacillated between dark and sultry to too brightly light all night. The temperature was absolutely arctic. Multiple groups had to ask for their coats from coat check before one of the waitstaff said he looked at the heating. He made adjustments, which did increase the temperature of the room from arctic to chilly--but it remained unacceptably cold. Pacing of courses was oddly timed. The waitstaff couldn't seem to strike a good balance between casual and fine dining--it was a little awkward at times. The Bad: Despite placing our wine flight orders twice, with two different waitstaff, they forgot to give us our drinks until we asked. By then, we'd missed two of the pairings. They did offer to serve us the remaining pairings at no cost, which was a nice gesture. But, it's wild that something like this happened in a place with 16 seats and 4 waitstaff--they missed out on $400 in alcohol sales because of this error. The meal was explained to our group as a "ten course" experience. We only received nine courses: 1. The venison "hamburger" 2. Cappuccino 3. Roasted apple 4. Crudo/sashimi 5. Scallop 6. Lobster 7. Venison skewer 8. Duck leg 9. Dessert This feels like an egregious oversight. And, based on what we overheard from the table next to us--almost felt deliberately misleading. The wine pairing is plainly described in the menu as "five pairings." As dessert was brought out, the table next to us inquired about the remaining pairings, as they'd only received 4 pairings up to that point. The waitstaff tried blaming it on the fact that "dessert wine is polarizing" and "we over poured the other pairings," but those are weak excuses. If you're not going to offer the full 5 pairing flight as advertised, that needs to be communicated ahead of time. Overall: With a price point, including wine flight (had that worked out), per person of nearly $325--The Guest had too many substantial misses. While the food may be ready for prime time, the service is leagues behind.

This is a timed, coursed dinner where the entire room sits and eats together, so arriving on time is essential. The format creates a restaurant wide dinner party feel, which sets the tone for the night. Everything feels intentional, from the pacing to the service to the design of the space. The menu changes often and is never repeated, which makes the experience feel special and creative rather than formulaic. Standout dishes for me included the duck doughnut, the wood ear French toast, the venison burger, and the leek cappuccino. The kanpachi crudo and scallop with tamarind were also beautifully balanced, and desserts like Cash's Apple and The Sphere were thoughtful finishes rather than an afterthought. One of the more memorable details was the menu book at the end of the night, featuring the chef's original sketches of the dishes. It's a small touch that really reinforces how personal and considered the experience is. If you're looking for a unique, chef driven tasting experience that feels cohesive and well executed, this is absolutely worth a reservation.
